To be a worker in Child Protection Services, it would be essential that you have an empathy and understanding of the situations that you are going to have to confront.
These positions are not for general public service workers, as they will always take the lesser line of responsibility.
Maggie’s theory on the apathetic approach by these workers is totally correct, she need not doubt that in the slightest.
A perfect example of the system letting the victim down is told in the powerful story of Gabriel Fernandez.
