It is rather sad to realise that one cannot rely on the daily newspaper for an accurate reflection of what is going on in the world. They have clearly taken a view on what is happening in the world and everything that one reads is a reflection of that view. It is not so much that they blatantly lie about events, although there are plenty of examples of that, but rather that they omit to advise the readers of the actual situations occurring in the world. Let me give some examples.
Blind Freddy could tell you that the president of the United States is suffering from well advanced stages of dementia. Ample examples abound, including his almost total inability to say anything without a prepared script to read. His occasional ad-libs are frequently totally incoherent, yet our media carefully avoid mentioning this fact. That a significantly impaired man has access to the nuclear button should be a source of major concern. Yet our media pretend that he is actually in control of events, which is doing its readers, indeed the world, a serious disservice.
His aides frequently have to “clarify” or “explain” his frequent mis-statements, yet our media pretend that he is the epitome of clarity and sense. One wonders at what point will they realise that the truth can longer be kept from the reading public. Perhaps it is the thought that if Biden goes before the 2024 presidential election, he will be succeeded by the vice president. That is as bad as having a mentally impaired man in nominal charge of events.
A second example is the war in Ukraine. The Russians are clearly winning that war. They have almost completely captured the two regions of the Donbass that voted in 2014 to leave the Ukraine, and in addition have captured a large portion of Ukraine’s eastern and southern region. Ukraine will soon be cut off entirely from access to the sea.
There is never any mention of the fact that around 500 Ukrainian soldiers are being killed each day. Nor is it ever mentioned that an increasing proportion of the soldiers are men in their 50s and 60s, clearly conscripted to fight a war for which they are neither mentally nor physically trained. Almost as many Ukrainian soldiers surrender each day as are being killed. Yet what we see and hear endlessly are the ridiculous statements of their president who is forever only days away from winning the war.
No mention of the fact that the Ukrainian president is now a very rich man, having siphoned off a significant quantity of the United States dollars that are given in “aid” to the country. The pretence is also maintained that he is in charge of the country, and the fact that the country is actually run by a Neo-Nazi faction is denied on the basis that it is impossible because the president is Jewish. The argument is completely ridiculous, yet our media persist in insisting that he is the man in charge and about to lead his people to a glorious victory.
Rather than being the leader of a victorious Ukraine, the very real possibility is that he will remain the nominal man in charge of a greatly diminished amount of land. The Poles give every indication of being prepared to invade and take over the Western portion of the country, which was part of Poland prior to 1918. It will of course be presented as other than an invasion and land grab, but that will be the reality.
The war could have had a different outcome. Zelensky reached an agreement with the Russians in the talks held in Istanbul at the beginning of the year. That agreement lasted as long as it took Zelensky to return to Kyiv where the Americans made it very clear that there would be no peace. The United States secretary of defence rather incautiously let the cat out of the bag when he recently announced that the war would continue until Russia was broken, both militarily and economically.
We all know how good the Americans are at fighting wars. They have not actually won a war since 1945, when the vast bulk (80%) of the fighting was actually done by the Russians who were the ones responsible for the defeat of the German army. It is true that the Americans have invaded a number of countries in the post-World War 2 period, but could one really say that they won in either Iraq or Afghanistan?
In the event, the United States plan to destroy the Russian economy has not gone according to their hopes and expectations. The rouble is stronger against the dollar then it has been for a number of years. Europeans are caught between a rock and a hard place in their claims not to need Russian oil and gas, or to pay for those commodities in roubles. The blunt fact is that Europe needs Russian energy sources to meet at least 40% of their annual requirements. Your alternative is to freeze to death and shut down most of their industry, neither of which option is attractive to their populations. The European Commission seems to be the last people left who believe Europe can survive without Russian gas and oil.
The other blunt effects that the West seems unable to grasp is that they are almost alone In pursuing their anti-Russian policies. The vast majority of the world’s nations, in Africa, Asia and Latin America, have maintained their trade and other links with Russia. The blunt fact is that the world is increasingly showing that they do not need the rich man’s club (Europe, United States, Canada and Australia) to manage their affairs.
As of March 2020, 146 countries have signed up to China’s Belt and Road Initiative, including most of Asia, Africa and Latin America and most of the nation’s inhabiting what Australia regards as its part of the world. The recent reaction to China signing an agreement with the Solomon Islands was the epitome of hypocrisy. Our media was full of dire warnings of having the Chinese in “our” part of the Pacific (actually 2000 km from Australia).
Totally missing from the media coverage of China’s alleged goals for the Asia Pacific was the fact that the United States has more than 150 military bases surrounding China and regularly sends warships to patrol in the South China Sea. Australia is a willing party to this blatant intimidation, yet professes a grave threat to insecurity by having a Chinese presence in the Solomons.
Some years ago, the Victorian government sought to join the Belt and Road Initiative. They were thwarted by special legislation passed by the Morrison government. It was a lost opportunity. Australia could have joined the world’s most important economic grouping. Instead it chose to remain an American outpost in the Pacific, deny its geography and its major trading links. It is a position that is unlikely to change in the event of a change of government in next week’s election.
Australia has chosen to attach itself to a declining world power. History is likely to show that as a major tactical error.

Veteran diplomat warns Australia could pull the trigger for war with China

Just four days after Defence Minister Peter Dutton declared on ANZAC Day that Australia is preparing for war, former Ambassador John Lander sat down with Citizens Party Research Director Robert Barwick for a second interview on the ACP’s Citizens Insight program.

The former Australian Ambassador to Iran and Deputy Ambassador to China reveals he’s been “reduced to despair” and feels like “a voice crying in the wilderness” in warning that Australia is being manipulated into becoming a US proxy against China.
As he exposed in his first Citizens Insight interview, Lander emphasises that the current US strategy is to provoke China into a war by arming Taiwan, vilifying China to make it the aggressor in the eyes of the world, and encouraging Taiwan to declare “independence”.
The USA would thus instigate war using Taiwan as their proxy, so it is the people of Taiwan who die in the fighting, while the USA avoids direct conflict with China that could escalate into global thermonuclear war—identical to the US strategy of using Ukraine as their proxy against Russia.
Adding to John Lander’s alarm is the rhetoric of Peter Dutton, who has previously said Australia would join Taiwan in a war against China—i.e. Australia would also be a US proxy—which would spell annihilation for Australia.
In Part Two, however, following Australia’s hysterical outburst over the Solomon Islands’ security agreement with China, the veteran diplomat warns that it may be Australia, instead of Taiwan, which actually triggers a war (watch the interview to see his explanation).
John Lander also tells two stories from his time as a diplomat, which illustrate how sharply Australia has veered in its foreign policy, away from having at least an impulse for independent decisions in our national interest, to one that is completely subservient to the USA and UK.
Before the tensions with China spiral out of control, all Australians should watch and heed the warnings of this experienced professional diplomat.

I just endured 2 mnutes of ABC TV “insiders” and they are commenting on the personalities ( Scotty vs Elbow ) and the tactics of saying people need a wage rise. Likewise, I was helping out at the polling place, using the handing out of how-to-vote cards as a cover for giving random individuals a dose of reality. A lady came up and said her concern was the health system and I told her they are understaffed from the vet hospital to the amubalances to every part of the hospital because the premier sacked a lot of hospital workers who didn’t want to be injected, she said “well they have to be injected” so I said “well it’s up to them” and she agreed with that too. Agreeing with everything is a survival tactic. Off she went presumably to vote for the Globalists’ red-blue party. In youth, I did things most kids do, rebelled against authority not knowing why but did it following the misfits slightly older. Somehow, at our Lord’s mercy, still managed to help raise two beautiful daughters and build a house. In days gone by, it was mostly family, work, van and surf. Now at 64, it’s no van, no work, no surf and no sex, a broke untouchable shunned by family and friends. Doesn’t matter, highs and lows are all part of growing into silver(turning white)tails and wrinkles. Remain in faith, if you can, hold on to truth and loved ones. Reject the BS.

I have no problem with O’Neill’s assessment of the Ukraine situation, nor with his assessment that the US is presently “in decline”. That does not require much insight at all. But clearly Biden’s US is not Trump’s US. Ne’er the twain shall meet. The former is a Deep State cartel hell-bent on destroying the US and bringing in global government whilst the latter was a genuine attempt at improving the lot of its people.
However, in every single article O’Neill either overtly or covertly shills for China. This one a little more covertly than most. He clearly wants Oz to join the belt and road initiative. As has been said before, be very careful what you wish for. May your chains sit lightly upon you.
I have absolutely no problem with the good, hard-working, smart people of China (notwithstanding that they were gifted Oz’s manufacturing under the fake “Lima Declaration”) but I have a massive problem with the CCP and don’t wish Oz to have anything to do with them if possible.
