The Great Covid Pandemic exposed Australia’s extreme vulnerability in the manufacturing sector, a weakness created by Free Trade ideology and associated globalist policies.

Many Australians are now realizing that we need to move in a different direction. But as with all exercises in navigation, in order to set the new course we need to review from whence we traveled.

With historical revisionism imposed by universities, publishing houses, and the media, this is a view no longer available to most young Australians. As immediately recognisable by all senior Australians, here is the actual history…

Forty-five Years of Economic Wilderness

Free trade enabled cheap labour nations to undermine the profitability of our national manufacturing, which previously generated 80% of private-sector employment (by ATO calculation). The consequential collapse of manufacturing and, with it, much of family farming, created extremely high unemployment.

This could not be acknowledged by politicians because to do so would be to admit that the free-trade ideology “trickle-down” theory of wealth distribution was entirely false, thereby forcing a reconsideration of policies already cast in stone by both parties of the political duopoly.

John Howard saved free trade by creatively redefining ‘employment’… if one studies, works, or undergoes training for one hour per week, one is deemed employed… which replaced the century-old universal definition of “having a job which pays a livable wage”. Thus, millions of Australians were officially employed even though they could not feed or house their families. As an exercise in sadistic cynicism, this is not far below genocide, but then John Howard is that kind of man.

For those chained to party partisanship, we need to remind blind loyalists that Howard merely continued what Bob Hawke and Paul Keating started. But then, as all politicians are the servants of the same investment banker alliance, this is what today we call political continuity, which has reigned since the 1975 CIA coup. Reality today is what Rupert Murdoch says it is, which is precisely how Howard could say in 2007 that 21% unemployment was actually 3.4%, and that we were luxuriating “in an era of unprecedented prosperity”.

This lie was cultivated in several directions: if one was absolutely and categorically unemployed, a condition of receiving unemployment benefit (renamed Newstart to avoid legal conflict with the Social Services Act) was to register with a job network provider who made it mandatory to study how to create a resume. This, being training for one hour per week meant that one could be defined as employed for statistical purposes, even though being entirely without work. Likewise, all Aboriginal unemployed, which was most indigenous, who were enrolled in CDEP (now CDP), became magically employed.

Thus, was hidden from view, the failure of free trade to replicate the egalitarian prosperity which was the distinctive achievement of Australia for the decades following WWII, thanks to successful trade union demands that the national cake be fairly shared.

Privately, it was acknowledged that various old-school social science and union analysts would be quick to expose this deception. Global investment bankers, who were the ultimate authors of free trade ideology, appointed Rupert Murdoch, Frank Lowy, and Ross Garnaut, to ensure academia and science was corporatised and thereby controlled. And Murdoch’s hold on public media ensured that any challenges would be heard by nobody who mattered.

In a parallel maneuver, Australia’s history was drastically revised so that all university graduates were inculcated with the belief that the 1950s to 1970s was a wasteland era of poverty and industrial strife, all caused by the “destructive and greedy” trade unions.

Even public libraries were heavily audited to ensure no embarrassing texts survived, these being mandatorily burned. By 2005, not even a book on the history of democracy survived, other than pure propaganda approved by the banker elite.

One tiny institute, Ryan Research, conducted door-to-door surveys of a pre-measured full demographic on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, this being Australia’s most churned population. Each survey was executed three months prior to each federal election and the outcomes distributed to all public media and electoral candidates of the region.

Real unemployment levels

Unemployment was found to be: 2001: 17%; 2004: 19%; 2007; 21%; 2010: 23%. Economists such as Steve Keen were outraged with these findings but refused to replicate the surveys.  All sections of the media ignored the data. But long before these exposes, celebrated editor of Newsweek Bulletin, Max Walsh, exercised his own skepticism with a nationwide survey which, acknowledging the scientific rule, insisted on applying the globally consistent definition of employment. Published in 1999, he found unemployment was 23%.

Surveys of this demographic legitimacy ceased after 2010 because so many Australian workers and their families were homeless that accurate door-to-door surveys were impossible and also self-defeating. It was calculated that three million Australians were homeless but confirming statistics were kept secret even by charities such as the Salvation Army and Saint Vinnies, who by this time also were corporatised. All queries by researchers and journalists were referred to the respective charity’s Public Relations Divisions, who refused to discuss percentages. Nevertheless, in an act of astonishing cynicism, the Salvation Army’s female CEO then “declared war on poverty”. Christ’s whited sepulchers had returned with a vengeance.

One frustrated demographer wrangled an interview on ABC TV and ambushed the presenter with the statement that “1 in 4 workers had no job at all and another 1 in 4 had only inadequate part-time work”. According to the universally accepted definition, this meant that Australian unemployment was 50% and climbing; which was more than double the worst level of the Great Depression (for some 3 months, 20%). Since then, ‘our’ ABC TV has permitted no interviews which might expose the truth. Viewers may have noticed that lip-sync has all but disappeared, as ABC paranoia enables the chop, should somebody utter a forbidden truth.

ABC as politician’s mouthpiece

The ABC’s transparent and shameless role as the promulgator of government propaganda is daily highlighted by genuine news being interrupted by interminable political speeches, and with more time being devoted to sport than genuine non-partisan politics. News analysis by the public has been replaced by invitee-only talk shows in which only true-believers have access to the media, these being immigrants, feminists, men who clit-lick feminists; approved academics and scientists; journalists, executives and CEOs, and school children.

Covid-19 threatened to expose the real level of unemployment but there is now such a tight lid on information flow that the truth continues to be suppressed. Nevertheless, the 2010 Ryan Research survey also revealed that 54% of Australians already realized that unemployment was between 15% and 30%, a proportion which is probably around 65% today. This constitutes a vast credibility gap for the political duopoly and one wonders if new crises might not easily precipitate a public rebellion.

It seems not.

The new cold war

Although Australia’s demise of manufacturing made it difficult to obtain products no longer available due to Covid restrictions, China picked this precise moment to place embargos on our exports. China’s dynastic ruthlessness had finally become evident even to the gullible upper-middle class, and many business people began calling for restructuring of Australia’s manufacturing, and reintroduction of tariffs.

This was welcome news for the Tariff Restoration Bloc, a multi-party lobby that had been promoting this policy since 2007.

Enter: The Northern Territory dimension

Canberra’s political commentators are clearly oblivious to a parallel but entirely disparate scenario playing out in the Northern Territory; one which better explains China’s careful positioning on the Great Chess Board… to put it in Brzezinski’s parlance.

China is well aware that the USA’s 2015 Rand Report recommends war with China, a report which the Pentagon invariably accommodates in its forward planning. The Rand Report was responded to with a sudden focus on the Top End of the Northern Territory, immediately followed by the stationing of a few thousand US Marines in Darwin and Pine Gap.

The Marines are here to contain possible civilian unrest following less subtle signs of occupation, several Abram tanks have been stored in warehouses. Meanwhile, the Pentagon, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, and the Australian Department of Defense commenced planning for a nuclear-armed ICBM launching pad in North East Arnhem Land.

The cover story of the civilian aerospace facility was promulgated by new corporations: Develop East Arnhem Land (DEAL) and Equatorial Launch Australia (ELA), the boards of which are dominated by US military links and that of Rupert Murdoch and his ABC connection. Two years later, the US Navy Chief of Operations, Admiral Jonathon Greenert, visited the NT to examine Melville Bay as the site of a future US Navy Base, which is only 30 kilometres from the nuclear ICBM site (aka ELA aerospace programme).

Other US installations in the NT are Pine Gap, satellite communication and navigation systems in Middle Point and Shoal Bay (Darwin area), which also host Five Eyes; Tindal Air base, and Darwin Airport.

Obviously, China is well aware that the NT will be an integral part of the Asia/Pacific theatre of war. This situation provoked two responses from China:

  • Weaken Australia militarily and economically; and
  • Prepare her own ICBMs as pre-emptive or retaliatory nuclear strikes on US installations here in the NT.

It is clear from the Rand Report that this response is anticipated and that casualties in Australia are acceptable. In other words, Australians are expendable. Actually, Australian defense has already been fatally compromised. The 90-day national reservoir of fuel to sustain military defense has descended to 14 days or less. Not only are we expected to become acceptable collateral damage, the US does not want fuel wasted in the process of national destruction.

This situation places current Chinese trade sanctions against Australia in a totally different light; one to which the Coalition Government is clearly oblivious. So, too, is the ALP. We have nobody at the helm of a ship being guided directly to the rocks. This happened in the last two world wars so, déjà vu.

There are two other circumstances that Australians should find worrying:

  • The US boasts to the world that it has firepower superior to that of China. In point of fact, China and Russia between them have 14 different capacity war missiles whereas the US has only two, and the best is owned by the Russia/China alliance. And,
  • As his legacy to Australians, former PM Malcolm Fraser predicted this situation seven times before he died, saying America cannot be trusted; that it had betrayed Australia twice before; and that our foolish alliance with this dying war-mongering empire will get us destroyed in WWIII.

Purportedly, the military intelligence of almost all other nations consider the US will lose such a war.

Australia is on the crossroad

Australia is locked into a marriage with the world’s most violently hegemonic bully which, simultaneously, is imposing the three most damaging strikes against our security and national sovereignty:

  1. Through imposed free trade policies, the US has plunged Australia into economic and industrial chaos.
  1. By (a) placing sanctions on the obvious remedy for the grossly exaggerated Covid Pandemic, which is Professor Thomas Borody’s proved-safe Ivermectin Triple Therapy; and (b) promoted the ill-advised lockdown on small business whilst giant corporations trade freely, has caused the nation to collapse: socially, economically, and culturally.
  1. The American Empire’s megalomaniacal drive toward WWIII will likely attract some ten Chinese nuclear strikes on Australia’s mainland.

In other words, the ongoing destruction of Australia is perpetrated by our main protector. This was never going to end well.

We can play along with the suicidal alliance with America and accept the certainty of vast urban destruction and millions of lives lost; which of unavoidable strategic necessity will include Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane; and also see our economy plunge forever into third world misery; OR…

We can take the following steps:

  • Direct the US to remove its aggressive war machine from Australian soil;
  • Adopt a neutral stance in the global ideological war (much like Switzerland);
  • Join the South Asian security cooperation alliances.
  • Provide the manufacturing sector with five tax-free years to re-establish our own industries;
  • Progressively restore tariffs to protect the new manufacturing sector and jobs;
  • (a) Revoke the 1954 Oil Price Parity Agreement (we pay international prices for our own oil); (b) re-establish our eight oil distillation installations and nationalize all oil and gas fields within Australia’s landmass and oceanic territories and (c) remove all fuel taxes; tripartite actions which, concomitantly, would reduce at-bowser fuel costs to 12 cents per litre (or 25 cents per litre if you prefer the calculations by Lyndon Larouche of America’s Business Intelligence Review);
  • Wind down the export of ores, in favour of Australian manufacturing; and commence the building of Australian-designed and built cars and machinery (in tandem with reductions in ore exports);
  • Reestablish a commonwealth bank to underwrite housing and national development projects (Such social credit enabled the Snowy River Scheme to be completed without foreign investment and incurring no foreign debt).
  • Abandon the current iniquitous taxation system and adopt an automatic electronic debit tax, which the wealthy and giant foreign corporates would be unable to avoid. (Currently, 98% of income tax revenue is generated by wage and salary earners, and corporates contribute a mere 2%).
  • Introduce anti-monopoly and foreign ownership laws, which would remove America’s Rupert Murdoch from Australian media influence.
  • Introduce a three-tiered national referendum on local and national policy formulation (aka democracy).

Historical notes:

  1. Australians have been brainwashed by Murdoch’s media to believe we need America to come to our defense in time of war but, as Malcolm Fraser pointed out, the US has never had any such intention. Moreover, when Indonesia prepared to invade Australia in 1975, the US was firmly on Indonesia’s side (twice).
  1. When these three same nations undertook exploration of the oceanic floor of the Timor and Arafura Seas, the data was shared between Indonesia and America. Australia was left out in the cold.
  1. As Malcolm Fraser stated: “America cannot be trusted”. We are much safer adopting our own perimeter defense and acknowledging the logistical advantages of our vast natural continental defense…. previously known as “The Brisbane Line”. This was the precise reason why Indonesia canceled their invasion. They realized it was unwinnable.
  1. We, in Australia, need to see the world for what it is, not how Hollywood presents it. The reality is that the US has militarily invaded 57 peaceful sovereign nations since 1946.
  1. The US is not our friend or ally. CIA agent Christopher Boyce was imprisoned for 22 years for exposing that the 1975 sacking of the democratically elected Whitlam Government, was a CIA coup, assisted by London’s MI6. Australian CIA agents included Peter Ables (TNT), Doug Anthony (National Party leader); Arthur Tange (Permanent Head of Canberra’s Administrative Affairs); and Bob Hawke (President of the ACTU and later Prime Minister).
  1. The convicted Jap war criminals who tortured, starved and killed thousands of Australian men and women during WWII, instead of being executed as promised by the US, were secretly released to form Japan’s post-war government.
  1. China has never had any intention of maintaining fair trade with Australia. We are merely a quarry, and a landmass which they are in the process of colonizing. Xi has the intention of becoming China’s Emperor and the world will be his Empire. He will be infinitely more ruthless than Rome, Britain, or America.

We have been betrayed from within and from without throughout Australia’s existence. It is time we stood up on our own and behaved like a real nation.

If we do, by my calculation, within a mere seven years we will once again be the most prosperous and egalitarian nation on Earth. Within ten, we will be the most influential. If we also install government of the people, by the people and for the people, we will be the world’s first nation to promote peace.

We can do it.

The USA was the most successful nation of all time, mostly because of it’s constitution, there was no government other than the people, the constitution being 100% under the control of the people and administrators were hired by the people to administer that constitution. The USA was never a democracy, it was a “Constitutional Republic”.     Simply put, there should be NO minimum wage set arbitrarily by governments. Employers and employees would come to mutual agreement without union and bureaucratic interference.

    It’s no coincidence that Switzerland and Singapore have NO minimum wage laws, yet have the highest per capita GDP’s in the world.

    Hong Kong too, had no minimum wage up until about 10 years ago and had amongst the highest per capita GDP at that time.
    (Since minimum wage laws were introduced, HK has slid down the rankings noticeably).

    Overall though, your article is to be commended – there’s MUCH to like about it.

      Speaking as a one-time unionist, in Australia, not one wage increase was delivered spontaneously. All were requested by the trade unions and all employers objected.

      Speaking as a former business owner, one is in competition with everybody else on the market and one is forced to take whatever measures make one competitive, the first of which is to minimise wages. One becmes very one-eyed (pun intended without apology).

      Speaking as an observer of Australia’s industrial environment, employer organisations have a rigid philosophy that says, screw the workers.

      Speaking as a former ALP member and activist, historically, the ALP is the political arm of the union movement. However, since Bob Hawke eliminated most of the unions and expelled most of the actual workers from union managemets, replacing these with graduates, the union bosses and ACTU have become freetraders and globalists and no longer pursue wage justice.

      Finally, refering to my four national surveys, it was clear from these that most workers were increasingly earning less each year, and that most workers had little or no job-sourced income.

      Because globalists incorporate graduate and management income averages in statistics, these create the illusion of acceptable income levels.

      I am aware of Professor Fry and his management theories of the 1970s, and also those of MeserschmitBlonkowBloom, ICI, and Krupp and as a great supporter of these I wrote much about them… then. These were the enlightened people who, for example, invented flextime.

      But the globalists crushed this very sane movement because they don’t like the policies. Simple as that. They want medievalism.

      Countering all of the above, I believe that establishing genuine democracy (ie all the people formulate all policies) then a completely different picture would emerge because of social dynamics that democracy evokes. I have conducted an experiement in 1985 which actually demonstrated this. But note I said BELIEVE. Time will tell, if we grasp the opportunity.

    A planned Ninth Circle child sacrifice ritual scheduled for Summer Solstice midnight June 21 was believed cancelled after Pope Francis avoided arrest that day.     Although their ICLCJ arrest warrant was recognized by INTERPOL authorities, plus judicial and police agencies in Spain, America, Russia and Serbia, four team members were still placed under arrest by Geneva police. Presently there was strong concern about risks to the team members’ lives due to the fact that the Vatican personnel who beat the operatives were made part of their interrogation by Geneva police.

    “Bergoglio had been confirmed as planning to participate in a child sacrifice and therefore our intervention could be regarded as a success in terms of stopping the ritual” stated an informant on the confrontation that took place at the Catholic Basilica Notre Dame on Rue during World Council of Churches meetings. “It’s the same Basilica where children went missing in 2014 and ritual killing was indicated.”

    Back on 18 July 2014 Bergoglio was convicted by the ICLCJ Court for Crimes against Humanity and Complicity in a Criminal Conspiracy that included trafficking and death of children. During the year-long trial over 68 eyewitnesses testified before six international judges and 36 jury members that the Vatican was paid big bucks to regularly funnel children through a Pedophile Ring to Satan worshipping church leaders, businessmen, politicians and other elites across the globe, including members of European royal families.

    Two adolescent women told the Court that Pope Francis raped them while participating in child sacrifices during the Springs of 2009 and 2010 in rural Holland and Belgium. Another said they were present during meetings with the then Argentine priest and Bishop Francis and the military Junta during Argentine’s 1970′s Dirty War. Evidently Francis helped traffic 30,000 children of missing political prisoners into the Vatican Pedophile Ring, many of whom were believed buried in a Catholic mass gravesite in Spain – that the Vatican has refused continuous requests for excavation.

    The Vatican has also refused requests for excavation of over 35 child mass grave sites believed filled with the mutilated bodies of at least 50,000 children who went missing from over 80 mainy-Catholic hospitals and native residential schools across Canada.

    At times you sounded like James O’Neill, which is a compliment to you both.

    Some [rhetorical] observations:

    “China picked this precise moment to place embargos on our exports.” Without digging for specifics and a timeline, weren’t there are number of very specific insults and aggressive posturings towards China leading up to these [retaliatory] embargos?

    As Mary spluttered … “planning for a nuclear-armed ICBM launching pad in North East Arnhem Land.” – to be aimed at who?

    Bracketing these …

    “China is well aware that the USA’s 2015 Rand Report recommends war with China, a report which the Pentagon invariably accommodates in its forward planning.”
    “Australia is on the crossroad Australia is locked into a marriage with the world’s most violently hegemonic bully.“
    “The reality is that the US has militarily invaded 57 peaceful sovereign nations since 1946.”
    “America cannot be trusted.“

    … So who should we trust? – and why is it that the conclusion drawn is that it is the well-read Xi Jinping that is the global imperial hegemonist?

      The ICBM at Gulkula launch site would, logically, be aimed at China. I admit this is pure speculation but, who else?

      Trust? Trust no one external. Trust only the Australian people.

      What is our best ally? History! The reason why Indonesia cancelled its 1975 invasion was the realisation that the logistic costs made the entire exercise a projected financial disaster, even with US support. Ergo, the formulators of the Brisbane Line policy were right on the money. No nation on this planet has suffficient wealth to support an invasion and occupation of Australia. In 1978, an Indonesian general admitted as much to me. He also genially explained the invasion rationale, that Indonesia had been here centuries before Europeans arrived. He described north Australia as “an integral pert of Indonesia”. I pointed out, with matching geniality, that 1710 was not much earlier than 1769. We agreed that Chief Minister Perron’s MOU was a much better way to do things.

      So, I maintain that we do not need defense allies but we should defend Australia with a coastal ring of missiles and I recommend a Russian model. We should also cease assisting hegemonic governments from invading sovereign nations. We should most certainly not trade in war weapons.

  23. Tony, there’s very little of your article that I would disagree with. Good job!

    What I would mainly endorse is the (seems to me) obvious inference that the enemy within is the one we should concentrate our efforts on eradicating. As we teach in First Aid “y’ can’t be any use to anyone if you are another casualty”. First put your own house in order. Remove the beam from thine own eye before you try to remove the mote from thy brother’s eye. Or, as Confucius say: I’m going to make the World a better place starting with myself.

    A fascination with the apparent, or media proposed, bogeyman of the Chinese arm of international domination by a secretive elite will not get the manipulators out of our politics and judiciary. Foreign ownership and/or control of the resources of this country would not exist if not for the complicity of abject traitors that have been installed in the institutions that are assumed to represent the nation comprised of the people.

    It’s not a new trick… but serious “non compliance” of the “deplorable” common folk might just be a nuisance that the megalomaniac secretocracy cannot control without mercenaries from the UN etc. Most of us would be much more comfortable in a lethal fight with foreign invaders than with a lethal fight with the sons and daughters of our next door neighbour.

    • I saw one comment that the judge agreed with the US ‘case’ but denied extradition on health grounds only … clever ‘legal’ manoeuvre. I wonder if he will never ever be allowed to speak in public
