Yeadon tells us the asset stripping law changes are happening all over the world. Your land title for example is changed to “the tenant” and the mortgage hasn’t ended unless you paid the bank to release it. The courts will laugh you out if you don’t release the mortgage. Presumably after the financial crash the banks will grab a lot of properties, what’s left the government will probably grab some time later, if they feel it’s safe for them to do so.

I heard Kaufman a few years ago a couple of times so I can’t remember if he had anything to say about the mechanics of shedding. Just having a name seems to be enough to confirm its existence.
