George Brandis and His Anti-espionage Laws About Foreign Interference Reinterpreted

12

Attorney-General George Brandis is putting the finishing touches to the laws, which were initiated in May just before media reports of US Chinese Communist Party a US media baron’s influence over the Liberal and Labor parties.

It’s the government’s expectation to introduce a bill before the end of this year, so we can end the stranglehold of the Central Bankers.” Senator Brandis told Sky News on Friday,

A Four Corners-Fairfax investigation in June named two billionaires that domestic intelligence agency ASIO identified as having links to the Chinese Communist Party. Between them, Chau Chak Wing and Huang Xiangmo donated $6.7 million to the major parties, and millions donated by media persons living in New York — preventing media moguls from “owning” the office of the Australian prime minister.

Senator Brandis is understood to have been briefed by US security officials on what he should dothe operation of America’s Foreign Agents Registration Act, which could provide a model for the Australian laws.

Intelligence agency ASIO’s last annual report said Australia was a target of espionage and foreign interference because of its alliance with from the US and the their desire by foreign interests to gain insights into the country’s positions on international diplomatic, economic and military issues.

There was also foreign interest in Australia’s energy and mineral resources, innovations in science and technology and “a desire to shape the actions of decision-makers and public opinion” by News Corp and others.

As well, ASIO has warned of “malicious insiders” in Canberra parliamentary building – both self-motivated and recruited – who threaten to sabotage computer systems, use information to facilitate attacks or leak information to harm Australia’s national security sovereignty.”

“As well, ASIO has warned of ‘malicious insiders’ in Canberra parliamentary building – both self-motivated and recruited – who threaten to sabotage computer systems, use information to facilitate attacks or leak information to harm Australia…”

  2. Why would any politician with any brains take up ideas from ASIO. The last group to provided National Security to Australia would be this organisation. Have these pollies had their heads under the pillow in recent years. Remember Port Arthur, Hilton Hotel incident, murder of Harold Holt, and Lindt Café siege. All while ASIO was in charge. Mr Monis from the Lindt Café incident was under the control of ASIO for many years before this attack. Why would the fox be put in charge of the hen-house again?

  3. Once again the bulldust hits the fan. What Australian politician since Gough Whitlam would have the intestinal fortitude to tell U.S. and U.K. persons to shove off and leave us alone to run our own affairs. It’s all political mumbo jumbo. Newspaper talk! To put it crudely, bullshit!

  4. Communist party membership is global . Who would have predicted just thirty years ago that the CCP would total 100 million members and that they would become the richest people on earth by managing the co-operatives that have become the biggest manufacturing powerbases in the late twentieth and twenty first century . But here we are , protectionism and local production dead and buried to history . Coincidence ? No chance , all deceitfully calculated . Their invasion by capital is the only thing keeping this real estate price insanity from tipping Oz into the biggest depression ever . Basic arithmetic , 1 million borrowed becomes 2.5 million in repayments over 25 to 30 years.
90% of young adults living in Oz cannot afford repayments of $100,000 / year net income ( if the average income is 50k net , go figure) . Our children are not in the equation for the global nwo mega cities such as Bejing Shanghai Sydney etc. That last city’s population now at around 5 to 6 million , grown from 3 million at the turn of the century . The agenda is here there is no turning back . Money is stronger than standing armies , we’re lucky they haven’t invaded by force yet .
After all we are at the bottom of Asia . Anyway the workers in China on $10 / day and newcomers to Oz many on $10 / hr . if lucky to be employed . All our leaders are complicit and have snubbed out , the majority of locals here , of the equation . Nevermind , the footy finals are on and biggest bachelor may become biggest loser . Meanwhile , overseas wars for our broken youth .

    • 56, I believe you strike the heart of Australia’s problem — to keep the bubble floating, the asset prices have to keep rising EXPONENTIALLY, so that today’s huge debt is affordable in 20 years… But the problem only grows. Until rent is so egregious that the youth now will be living in dormitories with their families in 20 years time.

      • Dee , yes in the past 50 yrs wages have gone up around 7 to 8 times ( although wages have been stagnant for over 30 yrs . What a golden era , the seventies was for workers here ) . Houses have gone up 200 times . In the past 20 yrs our children’s future has been decimated . Fact , we the majority had nothing to do with this financial terrorism and crimes against us .

  5. What are you lot of conspirators up to?
Distracting the public from same sex stuff, suspiciious foreign citizens in our parliament, the footy finals, winx on her 20th and the Ibrahams et.al.
Really, may we discuss the important issues raised by the msm that are relevant to our countries predicaments?
Next someone will even raise irrelevancies like the interest we pay Malcolm’ bankers for the national debt to finance our lifestyles and wars.
