Thankfully, my property’s soil has been built up and I have no need of chemical fertilizers. As for nitrogen in the soil, I’ve been building up the clover on the property. First with white clover, then with red clover as the pH increased.

Berry, the use of opium would be a lot better for the population than the use of chemical derived pain killers. Opium is natural, that’s why I prefer the codeine/aspirin tablets to dampen the pain of my aging body (aspirin for inflammation).

Last week the Federal Reserve announced a tapering of their bond buyback program. Instead purchasing a (minimum) of $100b in bonds, and $50b (minimum) in mortgaged backed securities, the Feds are reducing this minimum amount to $90b, and $45b a month respectively.
Note that this is the floor they are reducing, not the top end, because there is no top end, and continues to be no top end. So the minimum values posted above mean, basically, nothing.
We here in Australia are not immune to this craziness, as our (sic) Reserve Bank is doing similar to the tune of $100b a year. On a per capita basis, this is roughly equivalent to what they are doing in the US.

What is the ‘Global Public-Private Partnership’?

Elected politicians have long-been the junior partners in this arrangement.
With the arrival of GPPP’s we were witnessing the birth of the process to formalize this relationship, the creation of a cohesive world order. The politicians have simply stuck to the script ever since. They didn’t write it. It is important to understand the difference between government and governance in the global context. Government claims the right, perhaps through a quasi-democratic mandate, to set policy and decree legislation (law.) The alleged western representative democracies, which aren’t democracies at all, are a model of national government where elected representatives form the executive who enact legislation. For example, in the UK this is achieved through the parliamentary process.
Perhaps the closest thing to this form of national government on an international scale is the United Nations General Assembly. It has a tenuous claim to democratic accountability and can pass resolutions which, while they don’t bind member states, can create ‘new principles’ which may become international law when later applied by the International Court of Justice.

Could be true, but count me in the group that are ‘stockpiling’. I’ve always got about 3 months of quality food on hand, not counting my permaculture. Funny thing is I have a preference to ‘bully beef’ (corned beef) that the Diggers used to eat. Perhaps it is something left over from eating C-rations, but the stuff works for me. I just need some extra food with good nutrition (like my permaculture) to prevent malnutrition.
