Sworn Testimony by Harris Coulter in 1997: Vaccinations Cause Type-1 Diabetes

Do you think DPT means “diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus? Well, maybe, but in 1982 “DPT” stood for Dissatisfied Parents Together.  That was an organization, founded by three parents whose child had lost some developmental progress after getting vaxxed.

Ms Fisher went on to co-author the book “A Shot in the Dark” with the excellent Harris Coulter. Below I will print his testimony to the US House Committee on Appropriations on April 16, 1997 will produce an amazing quote from Wikipedia about the “terrible” use of the work of Dr Mercola and others on social media.  At the end is a great video of a doctor talking to a 5-year-old, which you mustn’t miss.

First, though, I want to speak more generally of the possibility that vaccines are used to seed illnesses into the population.  You do know that the US did this in Guatemala and then made an official apology about it. I am quoting an NPR article by Scott Hensley, dated 1 October, 2010:

“There’s no statute of limitations on the violation of human rights in medical research, the U.S. government acknowledged Friday.

“Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius apologized for a US-funded study that led to the deliberate infection of hundreds of Guatemalans with syphilis from 1946-1948. [They said]:

“Although these events occurred more than 64 years ago, we are outraged that such reprehensible research could have occurred under the guise of public health.”

Malice

Of course, it is normal to use disease as a weapon. Why stop at anything in the building of weaponry — the object is to kill and maim, isn’t it? I am guessing that the “outbreak” of tornadoes in the US heartland this week is malicious, simply because we do now have fantastic weather weapons and their manufacturers would hate them to sit idle.

My 2013 book, Consider the Lilies, has a section called “What Rhymes with Alice?” This book is mainly about suppressed cancer cures but it takes a big swipe at polio (recall that Edward Rosenow, MD, cured it in 1917) and much about autism and auto-immune diseases.

So unstoppable is my conspiratorial nature that I think the word “auto-immune” was cooked up to prevent folks from understanding it. The auto makes you think we are talking about something being automatic.  The immunity bit– well, what’s that doing in there?

I suggest we replace the useless word “auto-immunity” (6 syllables) with “my immune system attacks me.” (8 syllables).

Some of the agreed-upon auto-immune diseases are: coeliac disease, lupus, Multiple Sclerosis, vasculitis, rheumatoid arthritis, and type-1 diabetes.  Type-1 is the kind of diabetes that occurs in childhood and is often life-threatening.

Coulter Goes to the Hill

So here is part of Harris Coulter’s 1997 plea to Congress:

The very origin of diabetes is still a mystery. Since the late 19th century, diabetes has been known to be related to the pancreas and, in 1922, Canadians Frederick Banting and Charles H. Best, discovered that the missing factor was insulin — an internal secretion of the pancreas. Why does the pancreas stop [or not start] secreting insulin?

One … factor of significance for diabetes is the presence of an autoimmune process…. In fact, several of the vaccines for the disease of childhood have been implicated in the causation of diabetes.

The Pertussis Vaccine. The pertussis vaccine includes “pertussis toxin,” a toxin secreted by the microbe which causes whooping cough (the Bordetella pertussis). This toxin, which has been described as one of the most virulent poisons known to science, has several names …. One of the names is “islet-activating protein,” signifying that this substance acts specifically and directly on the “islets of Langerhans,” which are the insulin-secreting parts of the pancreas.

Since the 1970s, pertussis vaccine has been known in animal experiments to stimulate over-production of insulin by the pancreas followed by exhaustion and destruction of the “islets” with consequent under-production of insulin.

Physicians as early as 1949 called attention to low blood glucose in children who had severe reactions to the pertussis vaccine. … Gordon Stewart wrote in 1977:

“More than any other vaccine in common use, pertussis vaccine is known pharmacologically to provoke … hypoglycemia due to increase production of insulin.” Hennessen and Quast, found that 59 out of 149 children with adverse reactions to the pertussis vaccine developed symptoms of hypoglycemia [in 1979]. ”

The MMR Vaccine. Of the three vaccines making up the MMR shot, the rubella component is the major suspect because rubella (German measles) itself, like mumps, is known to be a cause of diabetes…. In 1978, Margaret Menser wrote:

“Congenital rubella syndrome” is the name given to the group of impairments and disabilities often seen in babies whose mothers become infected with rubella during pregnancy. These impairments include: heart disease, mental retardation, deafness, and blindness.”

In the 1970’s, researchers came to realize that the effect of the rubella virus does not end at the moment of birth, but that it remains in the organism of the baby and continues to exert its influence for many years …. Up to 20 percent of these individuals later come down with Type-I diabetes. This may take from 5 to 20 years to develop….

This virus acts by forming “rubella-specific immune complexes.” (An immune complex is a mixture of the rubella virus and the antibody to it.) …Thus, rubella itself has been demonstrated to be a causal agent in Type-I diabetes. How about the vaccine?

P.K. Coyle and colleagues demonstrated in 1982 that “rubella-specific immune complex formation is frequent after vaccination.” … Immune complexes from a vaccination can attack the pancreas just as easily as if they were from congenital rubella syndrome.

The possibility is that the immune complexes attack the islet cells of the pancreas directly; there is also the likelihood that they generate an allergic (anaphylactic, hypersensitive) or autoimmune state [Translate” My immune system is attacking me”] with subsequent autoimmune destruction of the pancreas. …

A Canadian survey in 1987 found “allergic reactions” in 30 children who reacted adversely to the MMR vaccine. Indeed, the possibility of an anaphylactic reaction from the MMR vaccine is specifically recognized by the Vaccine Injury Table. [Note: diabetes is not on the Injury Table, so is not compensated.]

Diabetes after a rubella vaccination probably represents a combined effect: the virus attacks the islet cells of the pancreas in an organism which has already been weakened by an autoimmune [Translate…] reaction to the same virus.

The IOM Committee concluded: “There is evidence suggesting that mumps virus infection can trigger the onset of Type-I diabetes. “

[Flu vaccine] A study of haemophilus influenzae B (Hib) vaccine in 114,000 Finnish children found that those who received 4 doses of the vaccine had a higher incidence of Type-I diabetes than those who received only one dose.

Hepatitis B vaccine. According to J. Barthelow Classen, M.D., a hepatitis B vaccination program in New Zealand, which commenced in 1988, led to a 60 percent increase in Type-I diabetes in the recipients….. The package inserts for the various hepatitis B vaccines on the market note that they cause several autoimmune diseases.

Conclusion… Factors relating to [“my immune system attacking me”] autoimmunity are involved in the causal chain between vaccination and the emergence of Type-I diabetes. … Also, the authors note, “it seems that vaccines have a predilection to affect the nervous system: neuritis, demyelination, myasthenia gravis, and Guillain-Barre syndrome….”   — end of Harris Coulter’s testimony

Barbara Loe Fisher

As I was saying, Barbara Loe Fisher collaborated with Harris.  You can be sure that instead or receiving awards and buckets of gratitude they were smeared and belittled.

A few minutes ago, I went to YouTube to see if I could find Fisher. Yes I can but instead of treating you to a full lecture I merely link to a one minute chat where she says that moms should be careful. The video got only one comment: “This is ridiculous misinformation. Unsubscribe.”

National Vaccine Information Center, the NVIC

If you look up “the NVIC” on Wikipedia, you’ll find this:

The organization was co-founded in 1982 by Jeff Schwartz, Barbara Loe Fisher, and Kathi Williams under the name Dissatisfied Parents Together (DPT). Each of them had observed the health of one of their children deteriorate at some point after receiving a dose of the DPT vaccine and had watched a television broadcast of the film DPT: Vaccine Roulette, which drew an erroneous causal link between DPT vaccines and illnesses of some children who received them.

… In the early 1980s, the organization joined with the American Academy of Pediatrics to draft the original legislation for the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986, which created a federal vaccine injury compensation program, mandated doctors to give parents vaccine benefit and risk information, and required the recording and reporting of vaccine injuries and deaths (see Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System). The organization changed its name to the National Vaccine Information Center in the early 1990s….

In addition to developing their own social media channels, the organization pushes anti-vaccination messages to online gatherings of young parents, anti-GMO activists and wellness enthusiasts.  However, due the group’s decision to stick to Facebook as their main social media channel, they experienced only a small growth of their social media base, while other anti-vaccination groups such as Children’s Health Defense saw their impact increase considerably on systems such as Instagram during the COVID-19 pandemic. …

Although the NVIC claims to be supported primarily by small donations, 40% of its funding came from the anti-vaccination activist and distributor of vitamin supplements Joseph Mercola, who provided $2.9 million between 2009 and 2018.

Despite spreading misinformation about vaccines and opposing federal vaccination campaigns, the NVIC took and received a federal loan of US$136,070 through the Paycheck Protection Program in 2020. [OmiGahd, sounds like corruption!]  — end of quote from  Wikipedia’s re NCIV
