The Liberty Ship, Part 2: Frontlet 615 – The Key to Everything?

Part 1 of this series described the attack on the Liberty ship that was done by Israeli forces who admit to so doing. But much was covered up.

In my opinion a pretense is made that the heavy-handed coverup is due to “Israel directing the US government as usual.” Personally, I think reports of the directing of US by that tiny state in the Middle East are most likely mind games. I think the US is much higher up, whilst I also think US is answering to its global bosses.

The reason the Liberty incident is so hot – believe me it could hardly be hotter – is that we can now see exactly how the US came to the decision to sink the Liberty.  Just wait till Americans , who may be angry at Israel, get a load of what really happened.

Philip Nelson, in his excellent book Remember the Liberty, does tell the facts and I am using that book’s material here.  However, Nelson downplays the significance of something called “Frontlet615” — which I will play up to the max.

The Planning of the Six-Day War

The Six-Day war in 1967 ran from June 5th to 10th. Israel’s Air Force wiped out Egypt’s 300 fighter planes on the ground in one fell swoop on the first day.  As a result of that war, the state of Israel gained much territory at the expense of Jordan, Egypt, and Syria.

This article is not interested in the politics or military action of that war, except for one thing — America’s participation. That participation can be deduced from the US planning of the Liberty incident. For the moment, please take my word for the following facts; they are borne out by evidence, especially the one crucial piece of evidence that we were never meant to see.

Fact 1. The US planned from at least one year prior (i.e., 1966, or possibly even 1965) to create a Middle East war situation in which it could nuke Egypt.

As the American public would not be willing to endorse such aggression, Egypt had to be seen to have attacked us first.  In other words, a re-run of  the 1964 Gulf of Tonkin false-flag where President Lyndon Johnson said the Viet Cong had torpedoed our ship. (Congress later got wise to that one but did nothing about it.)

Fact 2. To make this happen, we (I am using the word “we” to mean the United States) had to set up an actual attack on an American ship by the supposed enemy, Egypt. That means, in my guess, that we had to be sure a war was underway. Thus I think we planned the whole war. In any case we did set up the presence of an unarmed American ship, the Liberty (a spy ship, hence unarmed) to take the hit.

Fact 3. It was planned that a submarine would travel, discreetly alongside (technically, under) the Liberty.  Probably this escort for the Liberty was the submarine USS Amberjack.

Fact 4. We planned that the war would begin on June 15th, but the various parties who were to get busy provoking Israel – namely, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt – got into action sooner. (I wonder if they, too, were instructed by whoever the Master Planner is.) A problem thus developed whereby the war had to begin much sooner, on 5 June 1967,  as the action was escalating out of control.

Fact 5. The Liberty had been near Africa’s Ivory Coast, but got an order on May 23 to go at top speed to Rota Spain. It arrived on May 31.  From there it was told to go to the desired position in the Mediterranean. It arrived on June 8th. That morning, some of the crew were on deck sunbathing after their long trip. They saw Israeli planes pass over them several times, and were happy to think that the very large American flag flying on the Liberty meant that no harm would come to them.

Fact 6. Later that day, at 2pm, the attack began.  The Liberty tried to call for help but found that its message-sending was jammed.  Other American vessels in the area later reported that they too lost their communication.  Surely not a coincidence.

Fact 7. Nonetheless, word did reach Admiral Geis on the USS Saratoga aircraft carrier and he dispatched fighter jets to deal with the attack. They went aloft but the Geis got a call from “the White House” to recall the planes. He recalled them. All the airmen were later sworn to secrecy, as were the Liberty’s sailors.

Fact 8. The attackers by plane did their worst and then the torpedo motorboats came along to finish things off. By a fluke it happened that the boat did not sink “as desired.” The Navy men did their best to keep it afloat. (I accept their claim that extraordinary heroism was involved.)

Fact 9. Then the motorboats came back, and a helicopter threatened the sailors. The Israeli crew murdered anyone in sight. The attack ended by 4pm, June 8, 1967 (possibly because Soviet ships may have noticed).  All up, there were 34 fatalities and 174 men injured, out of a crew of 294.

Fact 10. Back in the White House, LBJ had to call off the planned nuclear bombing of Cairo.

The Inquiry

Over the years many bits and pieces of the puzzle came together making it possible for us to know the above. After all there is no official record of America having done any such planning of a war, or of having recalled her rescue planes.

A one-week-long inquiry, under the auspices of Admiral John McCain, was thrown together almost as soon as the damaged Liberty  ship arrived in Malta. The Inquiry took evidence from witnesses, but key testimony was suppressed from the published report – as usual. The final story was such that it would be nicely synchronous with Israel’s allegation of having mis-identified the ship.

But, Dear Reader, we have not yet come to the piece de resistance. Recall from Part 1 that James Ennes was a Liberty crewman who wrote a book, entitled Assault on the Liberty, in 1980. And recall that the BBC allowed Peter Houman to broadcast his documentary, Dead in the Water, in 2000.

In between those two dates, Ennes had made a discovery in the LBJ presidential library in Austin, Texas. He shared it with Houman for the documentary. It was a piece of paper that had inadvertently been made available to researchers, but surely should have been classified.

It was the Minutes of a Meeting held on April 10, 1967. The persons in the meeting were members of “the 303  Committee,” an entity for which there is no official acknowledgement. I consider this very interesting of itself, albeit it it has no significance on the face of it.

As reported by Philip Nelson in his 2017 book Remember the Liberty, the document indicated:

“That a ‘303’ Committee had discussed secret plans for sending the USS Liberty, and an accompanying submarine, into the Mediterranean Sea, into an area that would then become a war zone… On [the document]  someone had written ‘Submarine within UAR waters’.”

UAR was at that time a name President Gamal Abdel Nasser (1918-1970) had given to his country Egypt: United Arab Republic. Moreover, says Nelson:

“The document indicates that the committee had been briefed, two months before the attack, by Brig. Gen. USAF Ralph D. Steakley on the then-current status of a larger plan, ‘Frontlet615’.”

(Steakley died in 2009. He was also involved  the Pueblo incident in North Korea in 1968 and I now wonder if that hostage-taking was also planned.)

Note: I have long since taken on board Robert Dreyfuss’ claim in his 1980 book Hostage to Khomeini, that the 1979 Teheran crisis in which 52 US hostages were taken (and kept for a  year) was done with US approval or even at US or British instigation.

Frontlet615 and Operation Cyanide

Now this is, for me, the piece de resistance. Not the discovery that Israeli ship attacked the Liberty (which they definitely did), nor the fact that that America’s participation was intended and that the ship was scheduled to be sunk —  but that such a committee as the “303” existed and that “White House types devised the operation known as “Frontlet615.”

The 615 refers, apparently, to the date June 15 which is when the incident was to have occurred, though it got moved up as we saw, to a week earlier, June 8, 1967, as the provocations were heating up too fast.

The actual plan to use nuclear bombs to defeat Nasser, at the time a respected and popular Arab leader, was called Operation Cyanide.

I suppose it should shock me that the US was planning a nuclear war, except I know from rumors that this is on the cards at all times. Let us recall, once again, Dr Richard Day’s revelation at a medical conference in 1969 (reported by Dr Lawrence Dunegan in 1988) as follows:

Out of all of this was to come the New International Governing Body, probably to come through the U.N. and with a World Court, but not necessarily through those structures. It could be brought about in other ways. Acceptance of the U.N. at that time was seen as not being as wide as was hoped. People would be more and more used to the idea of relinquishing some national sovereignty. 

Formerly wars could be controlled, but if nuclear weapons would fall into the wrong hands there could be an unintended nuclear disaster. It was not stated who the “wrong hands” are. We were free to infer that maybe this meant terrorists, but in more recent years I’m wondering whether the wrong hands might also include people that we’ve assumed they’ve had nuclear weapons all along, maybe they don’t have them. When he said they might fall into the wrong hands, there was some statement that the possession of nuclear weapons had been tightly controlled, sort of implying that anybody who had nuclear weapons was intended to have them. …

We would bring in the ‘New International Political System.’ “If there were too many people in the right places who resisted this, there might be a need to use one or two or possibly more nuclear weapons.” As it was put this would be possibly needed to convince people that, “We mean business.” That was followed by the statement that, “By the time one or two of those went off then everybody, even the most reluctant, would yield.” He said something about, “This negotiated peace would be very convincing,” as in a framework or in a context that the whole thing was rehearsed but nobody would know it.

And there is also the allegation in the 2002 book by ex-CIA man Al Martin, The Conspirators, that Col Oliver North, who worked in the White House Basement with General Alexander Haig, had Operation Sledgehammer at the ready. It would use nukes to kill off 70 million Americans. Seriously. (You’d better re-read that sentence.)

‘My’ Discovery

I want to state again that I am amazed by the discovery of Frontlet615. I mean I’m amazed that it was found, all polished up pretty and sitting in a library. (And look how brazen it is, using the date of June 15 in its name!)

I have used quote marks around the my in My Discovery firstly to clarify that I did not do the work – Stennes, Houman, Nelson, and others  did the sleuthing and the reporting. I am but their benefactor.

Secondly I mean the “My” as a claim that I personally have discovered to the satisfaction of my own theory, that a war that appears in such-and-such a location may have been organized by a far-away third party.

Are there two neighboring nations today fighting over the use of their shared river? Are they gearing up for war?  Little do they realize that someone in the High Globalist Heavens may have stirired up the whole river issue. Why? So war could “break out.”

Tomorrow is the 18th anniversary of “Nine-Eleven.” From that event (which must have been many years in the planning) came many wars, invasions, and loss of rights. Isn’t it time we stopped putting up with this.

And kudos to the men on the Liberty (many under the age of 21) who, by both luck and determination, kept the ship afloat, thus preventing nuclear war.

    Pity you have not met G 5 , YOU WOULD BE ON THE SAME PAGE.
    Was advised generally of this years ago.
    So who can we trust?
    The US or Israel? ‘Our” mob in Canberra?
    My suspicion is that notwithstanding the US complicity to murder their own and blame Egypt, some other interests had the real purpose and long term agenda.
    After all, who really ran the US at the time and still does?
    Thus, the last 18 years since the 911 act of war and some desires to ‘Balkanese’ the Middle East and create a greater Israel.
    Want to join and buy up some shares in the exploration for oil in the Golan Heights. …. ring Murdock, Kissinger and Co, they might chuck you a few shates in their licensing arrangement with Tell Aviv?
    Then again you might wish to go for some investments in oil prospecting off Lebanon and Gaza.
    Yes Mary, it really is a large and planned long term picture…….. going back to Balfour being suckered.

    Although I once heard that JFK “was introduced to” his Cabinet members after they were nominated.” Wow.

    “Our mob in Canberra”? The only biggie I can identify there is Philip Ruddock. Malcolm Fraser can’t have been in the loop, as seen in his interview with Dee where he buys the “US sunk the Liberty to please Israel” line.

    There’s a rumor that John Major ran the PA massacre. Ned, did you get the feeling that when Major was PM, he was more in charge than Maggie had been? In Australia the Julia Gillards, Paul Keatings, and Kim Beazleys seem to be mere acolytes. Isn’t that a shame?

    All it would take is standing up to the biggies. We could start by legally toppling the monarchy. Pen and ink, pen and ink, that is all that is needed. Then the Queensland cops’ badge makers would have to get out their embroidery needle and remove not one but two “crowns.”

    They say Gough stood up to the CIA – another acolyte team really — but (as now rumored) he backed down when shown some videos of himself in the sex act. Heck, we all do the sex act, what’s the big deal? I am in favor of all video’d leaders (in bed) being given an “amnesty from embarrassment.” We really can’t have whole nations run like this, can we? It’s a joke.

    It would also take only pen and ink to get Frank Lowy in to his local police station to answer a few questions about the WTC situation 18 yrs ago tomorrow. Like Kissinger he will be going to God soon. It’s now or never for both of them.

    Come on, Ned, if you so much as stole a hubcap you’d expect to be called into a police station wouldn’t you? Well, 9-11 was bigger than a hubcap. If God spares me for another 24 hrs (highly unlikely!!), I’ll cook up a Part 3 that addresses your questions. And thanks awfully for asking.

  4. For newcomers to Gumshoe, here is my best shot at asking if it was Johnson (or Moshe Dayan, or any of the named persons) who caused the trouble for the Liberty ship.

    Except the item in question was not the Liberty ship but pedopile priests. You could start at 1.42.

    The Six-Day War, lasting from the 8th to the 10th of June, 1967, may have started because of the Soviet Union’s efforts to unify the Arabs. The Soviets had been encouraging President Nasser of Egypt to show more support for Syria in the face of a perceived Israeli attack.4 The Russians intended to unify the Arabs under Soviet influence.5 Instead, given the military alliances between Egypt and Syria, and finally Egypt and Jordan, the Russians probably unintentionally drove the region to war.

    On the 16th of May, Egypt requested that the 3,378 members of the United Nations Emergency Force, who patrolled the Egyptian-Israeli border on the Egyptian side, be re-moved….

    Prior to the Six-Day War, Jordan had made a last-minute alliance with Egypt….
