United States Policy in Europe Seems Designed to Create a War

It seems very clear that certain elements within the United States government are determined to have a war with Russia.  The statement made by Victoria Nuland, the Deputy head of State, and by her boss Antony Blinken can only be described as madness.  The ostensible basis for their idiocy is the situation in Ukraine.  It is worth our while to spend a moment recalling the origins of the Ukraine crisis.

It began in 2015 when the legitimate government of Ukraine was overthrown in a violent revolution.  It is important to remember that none other than Victoria Nuland was an important instigator of that coup, acting on behalf of her then-boss, Barack Obama, a man whose reputation as a warmonger has been greatly downplayed by the western media.

The elected president of Ukraine fled into exile in Russia.  As a result of the coup a number of events occurred.  First, the people of Crimea held a referendum about their future.  An overwhelming majority (more than 90%) voted to apply to re-join Russia.  The operative word here is “re-join”.  Crimea had been part of Russia for hundreds of years until in 1954 then Soviet president Nikita Khrushchev (himself a Ukrainian) gifted Crimea to Ukraine. The people of Crimea were never consulted about the shift in their allegiance.  To hear the rhetoric of the modern Ukrainian leadership one could be forgiven for thinking that Ukrainian control of Crimea was hundreds of years instead of the 61 years that it actually was.

At the same time as the change of government in Kiev two Russian-speaking regions of Ukraine also decided they wanted nothing to do with the new leadership and effectively declared their independence.  A number of important consequences flowed from that decision.   The first was that the Ukrainians ignored what they had agreed to at the Minsk conference that occurred at that time to deal with the issues arising from the declaration of independence.  They have waged a war against the breakaway regions ever since.

The second consequence was that France and Germany did nothing to encourage the Ukrainians to keep to the agreement they had signed.  The result has been an unsatisfactory stalemate ever since.

The breakaway provinces of the Donbass have grown progressively stronger.  Unsurprisingly, the attitude of the Ukrainian government has done nothing to encourage their belief that all will be well if they were to return to the control of the Ukrainian government.

The resistance of the two Donbass regions has been assisted by Russia, mainly in the form of weapons and political and moral support.   Most recently, the citizens of the two regions were offered Russian citizenship.  They have long been permitted to live and work in Russia.  The chances of these two regions ever returning to Ukrainian control looks increasingly remote.

None of which encourages the Ukrainians to look with any favour upon Russia.  This antipathy has reached ridiculous proportions.  The Ukrainians, heavily supported by the Americans, who it must be remembered, started the whole crisis by their role in the overthrow of the legitimate Ukrainian government in 2015, have become increasingly shrill about an imminent Russian invasion of the country.

The Russians have consistently denied any plans to invade Ukraine and it is not difficult to see why.  The economy is in a state of collapse, with millions of Ukrainians choosing to live and work in other European countries.   No one can come up with a single convincing reason why Russia would want to invade the country.

The lack of logic has not stopped the Ukrainians and the Americans from making ever shriller claims that a Russian invasion is imminent.  The Americans have also declared that there will be major economic costs for Russia should they eventually invade Ukraine.  American hostility to Russia is not a new phenomenon and the current rhetoric has done nothing to improve relations.

Given the frankly unhinged American rhetoric and the absence of any plausible reason why Russia would want to invade Ukraine, it raises the suspicion that the Americans are planning a false flag operation to give them an excuse to impose their sanctions.

The Russians have made it clear that such a move by the Americans will lead to the severing of political and economic relations with the United States.  Russia is in a far better position to survive an American-inspired economic attack than the lunatics in the United States appreciate.  Among the threats being made by the Americans are to cancel Nord Stream 2 which the Americans, for purely selfish reasons, have long opposed.

It is symptomatic of their profound stupidity that the cancellation of Nord Stream 2 will have little or no effect upon Russia, which is busy sending its ample energy supplies eastward to the welcoming arms of China.  It will, however, have a devastating impact on Germany whose dependence on Russian energy is beyond doubt.  It is yet another classic example of the Americans doing what they want, with scant regard to the effects it will have upon their European allies.

The Germans are acutely aware of the dangers to their economy if Nord Stream 2 is cancelled. The German Chancellor has recently held emergency talks with Russia, in an attempt to undo the damage caused by the blatantly pro-American view expressed by the German Foreign Minister.

Whether Germany is strong enough to resist the blatant self-interest of the Americans is an open question.  Their track record in this regard does little to inspire confidence.  The greatest immediate threat, however, is a U.S inspired false flag operation aimed at justifying yet another round of sanctions. Their resilience and ability to withstand US pressure is doubted.

The real danger is that United States hubris and frankly profound stupidity runs the risk of sparking a full-scale war. In that case, Australia will not be exempt.

  2. As far as the Germans, maybe the DeepState wants them to go back to nucular power, the Germans were always at the forefront of anti-nucular peace stuff, could it be !!! That the fabricated CO2 climate change thing is part of this push to re-nucularize Germany. The deviousness of Swissy is hard to guess but never to be underestimated.

      • We hear the Poles do all the Germans recycling for them, they had over 100 recycling yard fires last year if I recall correctly, here in Australia they are quite frequent, I remember seeing one out of the client’s window a year or so ago, very big and hot fire.
        This is how Green Initiatives are handled. Who was our yellowcake front desk, why, I do believe Downer, Turnbull and Bishop were mentioned. Snouts in the trough as usual, wrestling for position. Who knows the outcome.

        • We hear Biden admin wants to “build back better” an Intel semiconductor factory, this will take the pressure off Taiwan, maybe they already got their other new factory up and running in Israel as mooted some time ago. This means the former 90% of global chips operation (Taiwan Semiconductor) is fading into insignificance. Is Biden going to throw Taiwan to China, just because they put a few millions in Hunter Biden’s account ? I guess so, if he can get away with it.
          So Ukraine is the ww3 that never happened and never will happen, it’s a “look over here” operation, but not for the Russians, who WILL control the Black Sea whether NATO likes it or not. Ultimately, there are too many forces at work pushing for the destruction of America, the Deep State, the Competitor nations, the Illuminati over there in Geneva, the self interested such as Biden, Pelosi, Cheney, Gates, Bushs & Rockerfellas, they are all vultures tearing at a carcass, maybe one of these days there will be nothing left, just plastic coffins piled up on top of each other.

    The first hardcore intel showing Tactical-nuclear-capable weaponry is in, and we now have solid, visually-verified COVERT intel that Russia has moved Iskander-M missiles capable of carrying tactical nuclear warheads, into the theater of Ukraine.

    Intelligence sources sighted the transfer of an Iskander-M brigade from the Russian army’s tactical nuclear facilities to Ukraine.

    The Russians have also equipped the Iskander brigade with extra P78-19 transporter-erector-launchers based on an 8×8 MZKT-79306 truck chassis, effectively quadrupling the brigade’s capacity.

    Iskander-M is a variant for the Russian Armed Forces with two 9M723 quasi-ballistic missiles with published range 415 km, rumored 500 km. Speed Mach 6–7, flight altitude up to 6–50 km, nuclear capable stealth missile, controlled at all stages, not ballistic flight path. Immediately after the launch and upon approach to the target, the missile performs intensive maneuvering to evade anti-ballistic missiles. The missile constantly maneuvers during flight as well.

    To be clear, NO ONE thinks Putin will use nukes right out of the gate. But for years there has been sketchy intel that Ukraine may have KEPT some of the old Soviet Union nuclear cores, and since most of the old Soviet nuke stockpile existed inside Ukraine, and was built inside Ukraine, the technical skill exists there to take those nuclear cores and make an actual functioning a-bomb out of one or more of them.

    It COULD ALSO BE that Putin is simply hedging his bets by having nuke-capable weapons in-theater, or . . . it could be a very crystal clear warning to NATO: Keep Out of this affair.

    Either way, there has been widespread speculation about HOW a conventional war could quickly escalate into a tactical nuclear war; then escalate like lightning to a full scale nuclear war. Now, we have our first, rock-solid confirmation that Tactical-nuke weapons are in-theater.

    I no longer see any chance at all of this situation being resolved Diplomatically. I don’t know what Russia’s time table is, but I think it is best that WE here in the US, and civilians in all of Europe, make certain our “preps” are fully completed, immediately.

  18. I see a profound parallel between the situation involving Crimea and Donbass with Russia, and that involving the areas of Sudetenland and Danzig with Germany in the 1930s.

    In Crimea, ethnic ‘Russians’ were arbitrarily displaced from their father/motherland by the redrawing/reassignment of borders or jurisdictions (as described by James – Khrushchev 1954)). The people in the Donbass regions had been happily living their lives as ‘Russians’ without concern until the ‘US’-orchestrated coup established an administration which was hostile both to these citizens in the east as well as to Russia itself.
