A Letter From Dr Pridgeon – The Man Who Fulfilled the PM’s Promise

43

by Dee McLachlan

I publish, below, a letter that Dr Russell Pridgeon wrote to his medical colleagues to explain his recent arrest. Please see Gumshoe’s coverage of that arrest here, and a response to its unfairness here.

Since we started writing articles about the Family Court I have been contacted by so many people that describe how crucial evidence was discarded, and that children are just NOT believed — in a system that punishes anyone who dares to protect.

Dr Pridgeon also wrote countless times to the Minister for Child Safety in Queensland, forwarding Prof Freda Brigg’s damning report, and asking the minister to assist the children. But any plea to help these children seems to fall on deaf ears.

A reader sent a Comment yesterday saying that we should not trust this doctor. Hence, it being my journalistic duty to look deeper into the matter, I investigated. I am pleased to say that Dr Pridgeon came through with flying colors.

I therefore find it shocking that the Medical Association of New South Wales suspended his license to practice — I believe with no explanation. (I presume they were sent the Professor’s report.) I also spoke to the doctor and have absolutely no doubt about his integrity, and furthermore he has good sense of what can be done. We will go into that in a further Gumshoe article.

In the title of this article I indicate that Dr Pridgeon is a fulfiller of the PM’s promise. In his now-famous apology to victims of child abuse, delivered in Australia’s Parliament on October 24, 2018, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said:

“…we can promise a country where we commit to hear and believe our children, to work together to keep children safe, to trust them and, most of all, to respect their innocence.”

Now here is the LETTER by Dr Russell Pridgeon, to which I have added some bolding:

To the Medical Doctor

Dear Colleague,

You have known me as a general practitioner working at Duke St Medical Centre these many years.

You may also have been aware that I have been involved in Child Protection for some time. Amidst the prurient media coverage of my arrest you may be aware that I assisted a mother to protect her children from sexual abuse. What I have done is not a secret from the authorities, they have known about it for nearly 6 months and have not approached me on this matter until I was arrested last week.

On 30 May 2018 I wrote to the Minister of Child Safety in Queensland advising her that:

“I am one of many people who sheltered and protected them, in the four years that they were free of ongoing abuse. At various times I drove vast distances to transport them between places of safety, and when I was able find safe accommodation for them I sheltered them in a safe house in my locality from about Easter 2014 for more than a year. This was one of the greatest privileges of my life to be able to help these children escape the horrific abuse inflicted upon them by fiends, and enabled by Rogue Judges, lawyers and Policemen who actively hid the truth, ignored evidence, and facilitated child rape, effectively trafficking these children to paedophiles.

This email was cc’d to The Minister of Police in Queensland, and to Hon Christian Porter, the Federal Attorney General.

I became involved in this after the late Prof Freda Briggs AO, Australia’s pre-eminent authority of child sexual abuse, asked me as a doctor, to support the mother, using my experience in trying to save other children to help them. The children had been taken from the mother and given to the father, despite multiple disclosures of abuse, so their sexual abuse continued for years.

I used to phone the mother and listen to her horrific recounting of her children’s abuse. Nearly 40 years of medicine have not provided me with greater grief and horror.

When I heard through the media that she had snatched the children and fled, and when she phoned me for help, there was nothing else to do: I had to help her, I couldn’t let her children be returned for abuse.

I was acutely aware that I was breaking the law, yet I knew that the law had failed these children utterly, it was a terrible position to be in.

I reflect now that these children had 4 years of their childhood free from terrible abuse, I must now pay the price for that.

At no time was I in the presence of the children, without their mother being in the immediate vicinity.

My endeavours to protect abused children have resulted in the near complete destruction of my life. These were not my children, yet I could not as a moral man, or as a doctor turn my back on them, and leave them to be abused.

I protected them, when the law utterly failed to protect them, because I could do nothing else: I would have been ashamed to do less. I knew I was breaking the law, I also knew that if I did not help them they would be returned for ongoing rape.

I also knew that it is impossible to evade the law indefinitely, and that these children would eventually be found, and when that happened I would be jailed, as I have been.

May I bring to your attention that despite numerous disclosures by the abused children, to the child protection authorities, the perpetrators of child abuse remain at large, untroubled by the law. Contrast this to the vast AFP operation to apprehend those who risked everything to protect these children.

The Medical Council of NSW have suspended my medical registration indefinitely.

I believe that my actions were those of a moral man, following the best and the highest traditions of the medical profession.

I write to apprise you as my medical colleague of the true nature of the circumstances surrounding my prosecution. Please feel free to pass this letter on to any other medical practitioners you may know.

Sincerely

Dr Russell Pridgeon

Duke St Medical Centre, Grafton 2460

END OF LETTER.

I, Dee, now continue: It would be best for good people — the good police, solicitors, social workers, and the good judges — to come forward NOW with their disclosures, so they can be on the right side of the law when the tsunami of public anger, that is slowly rising, will hit those suppressing the evidence and SILENCING THE CHILDREN.

  1. “I was acutely aware that I was breaking the law, yet I knew that the law had failed these children utterly, it was a terrible position to be in.

I reflect now that these children had 4 years of their childhood free from terrible abuse, I must now pay the price for that.”

It is because of cases like this that I believe that Australia should allow the concept of ‘Jury nullification’ – if the jury believes the law is unjust, then screw the law – “Not Guilty” is the verdict.

The present system is not only unjust, it is evil. ‘Legal positivism’ or ‘black letter law’ in Oz turns the concept of the ‘Rule of Law’ upside down in order to enable injustice to thrive.

Perhaps we need a national referendum on ‘jury nullification’ – let the people start taking back their power.

    • Yes!!! Jury Nullification!!! If only Family Court operated with a Jury rather than a single Judge! In fact a board of experts rather than a single Judge!

All dealings with those involved recorded to give complete transparency so that children’s disclosures cannot be changed by those who are supposed to protect them! If only childrens voices were heard!

Now it’s time for the criminal courts to be shown who the real criminals are. It is of course those who were complicit and failed their duty of care to protect these children in the first place, leaving the mother of these no option but to flee in order to keep them safe.

      • Let me tell you people, a board of “experts” already runs the Family Court. Don’t be fooled, the judges and report writers consider themselves the “experts”. If the law was followed, these “experts” wouldn’t be allowed!

  2. Jake Morphonios (Blackstone Intelligence Network) has just presented a topical compilation of nine videos “Out of Darkness Into the Light”. Some may have seen individual episodes before.

    https://youtu.be/G0bDpJHp98w?list=PL_fCfRD4ODqdQlmWeFASQMRLrdgPNnzm6

“There exists a terrible scourge that infects not just the United States, but the whole world – a global network of human trafficking operations, some of which are controlled by rogue elements inside the Central Intelligence Agency. The US State Department estimates that today there are between 20 to 30 million slaves in the world. Government statistics indicate that 600,000 to 800,000 people are trafficked across international borders every year, of which 80% are female and half are children. This video series will expose some of these operations – bringing these sick crimes out of the darkness and into the light.”

  3. I reckon a lot of “officials” in Oz are going to be feeling the old snicker-snee pretty soon.
    .
“It was none of your impudent, off-hand nods.. but with deference due to me…

Note: when we learn that a cop laughed at a child who reported abuse (or yelled at that chiild) we do not say “He used bad judgement” or “She’s a rude, unethical cop and needs better training.” Oh no, we say, quite simply, he/she is an accomplice to the crime of child-trafficking and needs to be citizen-arrested straightaway.”

  4. I am inundated with calls / emails for assistance, or disclosure. I have just received another (about one every hour this morning). I quote a small section of the email:

“The Judge ordered an injunction to destroy the child disclosures and photographic evidence of abuse. She ordered a further injunction that if the future when or if I qualify for unsupervised time, assuming the child ever discloses again I am banned from taking her to Doctor’s, therapists or any allied health care professionals… to anyone who can help her recover from her trauma.”

Oh for f— sake. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

WAKE UP AUSTRALIA — you are all still entrenched in the ‘penal colony system’.

    • Ahem, Dee, if i may repeat what I said about cops.

Judges claim that all judges have immunity for what they do in court. Let them claim it. It’s not true. Talk about a good bluff!

Their immunity is against being sued for any decision they make. Surely that is a good thing or they would never rule harshly and we want the little darlin’s to rule harshly.

However nobody (save the king) has immunity from prosecution for crimes they commit. And the Family-Court judges are committing crimes every day.

Also if i may carry this to extreme, anyone who fails to report the judge’s crime is committing the crime of misprision (provided what the judge did is a felony which of course it is).

Soi if the “judge” about whom that email was written is reading my words now, let her get very worried.

Oh and at least Dr Pridgeon can’t get accused of misprision. Nor can Rachel Vaughan.

If anybody from the US is reading this, look up “civil RICO.” You can sue a while bunch of them in one go, as racketeers.

Dee, to your emailing Mom who said “The Judge ordered an injunction to destroy the child disclosures and photographic evidence of abuse.” Please search gumshoe for the word SPOLIATORUM.

      • For the parent that sent me the email:

Mary Maxwell’s Maxim of the Day

“This is where the law maxim “Contra spoliatorum, onmia praesumuntu” comes in. Against the one who destroys evidence, everything can be presumed. Some people say the Law is an ass. No, no it isn’t. Legal thinking is one of civilization’s treasure troves.

  5. Dr Russell Pridgeon , if our information is true should be awarded with the Oder Of Australia, not a jail term.

It seems to me that those State and Federal Ministers that have been made aware of the crimes mentioned by Dr Pridgeon and others are the ones that should be imprisoned, along with the judges who are carrying out the protection of the real criminals, the abusers both mental and physical (quite often sexual violence).

That last email that Dee shows, is proof that some judges need to be jailed. The order to destroy evidence is enough for that being to be jailed indefinitely.

It annoys me that such creeps are able to worm their way into high positions.

    • I have written to the PM requesting a meeting to pass on in summary form what I have learned — and have also requested an on-camera interview.

      • Dee, if you do get an audience, I would appreciate it if you would bring up ‘jury nullification’. – If an Act of Parliament forced the judges to instruct the jury that they can disregard the law and vote ‘not guilty’ in cases where they disagree with the law – then much of the injustices of both the Parliament and Judicial system can be bypassed.

The hacks in Parliament may take their bribes and pass ‘pay to play’ legislation, but if a jury decides that the legislation is onerous and should not be followed, then the injustices will be circumvented AND the hacks in Parliament can still keep their bribes. Corrupt judges will also have much of their power taken away. It is a small step in the right direction, not perfect of course, but much better than the present situation. It is just one small piece of legislation which the PM could initiate.

The system is collapsing, if it reaches a critical mass, then history revels that violent revolution is a likely outcome. A few well thought out measures at this ‘early’ stage (this should have happened a century ago) could make a significant difference.

          • Yeah, PA is ‘in your face’, whereas some of the other ‘conspiracy’ stuff doesn’t have an obvious heavy weight of evidence to back it up, PA is overwhelming.

          • I just looked at your comment again and I realized you may be referring to the ‘disarmament of the people’ agenda that the PTB are working on. So, yeah, why would the Oz government kill 35 people to promote ‘gun control’ in Oz?

Hmm, going back and considering my gunsmith mate’s comment “A government that kills its’ citizens to promote gun control, is not a government you surrender your guns to.”

Easy to answer the question if you have two working brain cells to rub together.

  6. Fantastic job Dee!!! All the protective parents and their abused children who are in a similar situation to this protective mother thank you for bringing this into the light.

Russell and Patrick deserve an Order of Australia medal for their selfless acts!

Let us not forget that these children are currently still in the hands of the perpetrator of abuse too.

    • Pauline grabham….You must NEVER trust mainstream media to get the TRUTH across to the people. Just look at how they’ve portrayed Martin Bryant over the last 22 years….And Bradley Murdoch (with no body of Falconio) & Ivan Milat….

  7. Is there anyone that can help support a protective mother on the GoldCoast? What does one do when the police WILL NOT investigate sexual abuse or threats of murder just because it’s in Family Court? The perpetrator is now seeking a recovery order to have the children returned to him!

    • hide, where to run to, Get proton email. I need one, everything shared through gmail and many other places is watched. eyeswideopen!!!!!!

      • Mia I use ProtonMail.com.

For those who may not know about Proton, it’s free to use & I only use it for my research & when communicating with certain people. I also use a VPN on my laptop 24/7 which hides your personal IP address so that you cannot be located.

  8. Another excellent article, so good to have someone write about the horrors that have been kept in the dark for so long, I hope you continue to shine the spotlight on the Family Court . Well done to both you Dee and Dr Pridgeon I also believe if a law harms children there is no way it should be followed.

  9. Dr.Pridgeon,

Thank you for your courage and bravery. Likewise you Dee and Mary for continuing this fight for humanity.

We are indeed up against some evil sons of bitches!

Thank God that some people place doing what is right, above staying safe and keeping a low profile. This issue of child trafficking and pedophilia (and many other serious issues) has now clearly gone beyond simply raising awareness of the sleeping masses. It’s clearly time to petition politicians and apply political pressure, to demand the names of judges who are making these outrageous rulings, and to name law enforcement commanders who are ordering these terrible police actions. Time to raise merry hell!

“There will come a time when these people will no tbe able to walk down the street.”

    • Thanks to the political speeches of both the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition, recently, to do with abuse in institutions, nobody can plead ignorance of what has been going on for years. Of course these two were very careful (if I remember correctly) not to mention the abuse suffered in places other than institutions, such as family units or paedophiles on our streets. ( The other slave/ sex trading venues = disappearances and murders)

  11. One of the contributors to the GoFundMe page wrote:

“Russell Pridgeon is a man of integrity and it is typical of him to have risked himself to help others in need.”

There ya go, guys, just take him as a role model. And the other arrestee, too: Patick O’Dea.

I’d like to mention that Rachel Vaughan has the patience of Job and it was her voluminous list of attempts to get help from the South Australian police that led to Gumshoe’s getting furious.

And our involvement since 2015 was a product of Senator Heffernan having the ballsaroonies to speak out in Parliament, with info provided by Fiona Barnett.

You go, Parliamentarians. Imagine a whole chamber of Heffernans, what they could do to knock Certain People off their perch.

    Wham! Bam! Pow! Gone.

  12. Dr. Pridgeon deserves a medal if there were more people like him Australia would be a better place. As for the coverage our local news report gave to this matter it was totally false.Dr Pridgeon gets arrested for saving children from peadophiles while our court lets peadophiles back out into the community to rape more children.Come on Australians stand up & be counted it’s our children out there.

  13. Dr Pridgeon was our family Doctor when we lived in Grafton, he is a good and kind man. The news reports I have read are disgusting, yes, he broke the law, but most people would do the same thing in the situation. This story just proves to me that the Law is an ass, and that the systems we have in place are failing the most vulnerable in our community, the children.

  14. There are always two sides to a story. If you knew personally of a father who had been falsely accused of child sexual abuse and cleared completely of any impropriety by the Courts yet through this doctor’s actions and his relationship with the mother of the father’s child, has been denied Court determined access rights to his child for over 5 years, would you be so supportive of this doctor?
I am aware of a formal complaint made to the Australian Health Practioner Regulation Agency in respect to this doctor.

    http://www.ahpra.gov.au/

I also refer to the AMA Code of Ethics 2004 Editorially Revised 2006. Revised 2016

At some stage this doctor must reflect on the particular sections below as they relate to this doctor’s actions.

“Members are advised of the importance of seeking the advice of colleagues should they be facing difficult ethical situations.

2.1.16 Avoid providing care to anyone with whom you have a close personal relationship, where possible.

2.2.2 Maintain the confidentiality of the patient’s personal information including their medical records, disclosing their information to others only with the patient’s express up-to-date consent or as required or authorised by law. This applies to both identifed and de-identifed patient data.

2.4.1 Treat the patient’s family members, carers, and significant others with respect.

3.1.8 Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with patients and
their close family members, not entering into sexual, exploitative or other inappropriate relationships.

4.5.2 Recognise your responsibility to assist the courts, tribunals, or similar forums by providing informed fair opinion based on impartial expert evidence when reasonably called upon to do so.”

In reality we all have rights and responsibilities as “a reasonable human being”. When we step outside these and ignore the rule of law and it’s institutions, we create many more stories with sad chapters for others.

As you choose to comment, please do this from a point of information not just emotion.

    Thank you

    • The problem is when EVIDENCE and damning reports are suppressed.
What I found interesting was that in the case of the one mother on the run with her children — she was NOT ALLOWED to reveal to the public ANY evidence she might have had, to support her case.
However the father appeared on television and could air his grievances with abandon. How is that so?
Let the evidence of these cases be exposed. How are we to gauge truth when the AFP spend millions “chasing down” a “syndicate” of Nannas and Grandads.
And it is as easy as pie to make a complaint against a doctor… real or fabricated. In a stroke of a pen, and with the help of mainstream media you can destroy any good doctor.
Try reading Mary Maxwell book on how they legally suppressed 18 cancer cures.

      With regard to:
2.1.16 Avoid providing care to anyone with whom you have a close personal relationship, where possible. (My dad was a doctor — and cared for our wellbeing)

And you say “When we step outside these and ignore the rule of law and it’s institutions, we create many more stories with sad chapters for others.” There is a dilemma for a doctor — Hippocratic Oath vs Rule of Law. I was brought up in South Africa — where the rule of law was wrong. You cannot judge morality and what is right and wrong by the law. The law is to keep society manageable for those “managing” us. If institutions serve themselves and even break the law — then the fabric of society starts to erode.
