Six more shopping days till Christmas (not counting Christmas, which is probably also a shopping day).
Es ist ein Ros Entsprungen, written by Praetorius in 1599, performed in Cologne Cathedral, and now at your local railway station:

Lo, how a rose e’er blooming/ From tender root hath sprung/ From Jesse’s offspring coming/As men of old have sung./ It came a flower bright/ Amid the cold of winter /When half-spent was the night.
I am not a believer in religion, but that event made me feel good even if I didn’t understand a word that was sung. Merry Christmas to everyone.
This is my dream, Mal, to get the audience to join in, never mind the choir.
And it doesn’t even have to be about music. It could be, um… well you know what I’m thinkin’.
Beautiful! Thank you for posting these videos.
That was really beautiful! Thank you Mary. I hope you and Dee and everyone has a wonderful Christmas! Maybe 2017 will have the audience joining in all over the place, including Oz and Boston.
