It is a fact that Keith Raniere of the cult known as NXIVM, has been convicted by a jury in a federal case. It is good news for persons whose children are being trafficked. The victims of this particular cult leader were young adult women (I think), not youngsters, but the effect is exciting.
We in the Protective parent camp have not seen any convictions. Heck we haven’t seen any arrests. Heck we haven’t seen so much as a harbinger of an indictment. Rather we see the mums themselves being lined up for punishment.
Still, if the authorities can put Keith Rahiere in the slammer they can put the owner of South Australian licence plate 123-BUM in the slammer. Can’t they? Too bad he didn’t think of a more subtle license plate. His 123-Bum plate says “You can’t get me.”
Oh ho ho. Oh ho ho. Yes we can, you jerk.
June Was Bustin Out All Over at the DoJ
Gumshoe readers know that I do not have a lot of faith in Trump’s promises to “lock them up.” Don’t imagine Attorney General Barr is planning to turn child-stealing around either, but I could be wrong. Here is a list from the website Justice.gov of one month’s work. After that we will talk about Operation Broken Heart.
In date-order, backwards:
June 28, 2019 — Biddeford Man Sentenced to Nine Years for Conspiracy to Commit Sex Trafficking of a Minor
June 27, 2019 — Toledo pastor Anthony Haynes sentenced to life in prison for sex trafficking of a minor
June 24, 2019 — East Hartford Man Sentenced to 10 Years in Federal Prison for Sex Trafficking of a Minor
June 20, 2019 — Arizona Man Charged With Attempted Sex Trafficking of A Child
June 19, 2019 — Jury Finds Nxivm Leader Keith Raniere Guilty
June 17, 2019– Four Sentenced for Using Threats to Compel Sex Trafficking of Minors
June 14, 2019 — Dallas Trafficker Ordered to Pay $330,000+ in Restitution to Victim

Note: this list is of small operators. No judges seem to have played a role!
This One Was on the Board of CPS
We hear now and then – and we heard from Peter Lewis, Speaker of the House in South Australia, that the trafficking business has friends in high places, and worse than that, friends in education departments and child protection agencies. So here is an arrest of a lady named Laura:
June 5, 2019 — Toledo woman who served on the board of Lucas County Children Services sentenced for making false statements as part of investigation. Laura Lloyd-Jenkins, 44, was sentenced to 21 months in federal prison.
The prosecutor (the US Attorney) Justin Herdman said “She held a position of trust in the community. Instead of reporting the exploitation of children to the police when she learned about it, she kept the information to herself and then lied when asked about it.”
FBI Special Agent in Charge Eric B. Smith said:
“We are pleased with the sentence Ms. Lloyd-Jenkins has received for the untruths she told to law enforcement and for the efforts she engaged in to cover up abuses of an under-aged female being trafficked for sex.”
The same website of the DoJ carried information about Operation Broken Heart that consisted of a 3-month raid, last year – April to June 2018. I want to express my skepticism of it, in that I think it was a sweep-up of the many Internet customers who watch “cp” — the short name for child pornography. Arresting them consists pretty simply of teacing who is watching such-and-such channel.
Could it be that the intent is to fill the prisons? Did anyone go after the biggies in the cp-film-production line? Anyway excuse my hanging back a bit. Here are the figures from government in the US:
Operation Broken Heart
“The Department of Justice today (2018) announced the arrest of more than 2,300 suspected online child sex offenders…The task forces identified 195 offenders who either produced child pornography or committed child sexual abuse, and 383 children who suffered recent, ongoing, or historical sexual abuse or production of child pornography.”
Attorney General Jeff Sessions said: “We … are determined to strike back against these repugnant crimes. …We have arrested more than 2,300 alleged child predators and investigated some 25,200 sexual abuse complaints. Any would-be criminal should be warned: this Department will remain relentless in hunting down those who victimize our children.”
“ICAC Task Force targets suspects who: (1) produce, distribute, receive and possess child pornography; (2) engage in online enticement of children for sexual purposes; (3) engage in the sex trafficking of children; and (4) travel to foreign countries and sexually abuse children. By June 2018 it had reviewed more than 775,000 complaints of child exploitation, which resulted in the arrest of more than 83,000 individuals.” – Justice.gov
Good Tears of Relief
Protective Parents who are suffering right now in Australia should watch this short video, or just go to 2.09 minutes into it, to see a mum, Barbara Boucher, crying with relief at the guilty verdict of the aforementioned Keith Raniere:
Prodigies – Is This a Branch of MK-Ultra?
Now we hear – but it’s from MSM, OK? – that members of a related cult had special talents:
Seventeen million viewers are feelin’ good!
.
I can’t exactly see the similarity between the victims of a dysfunctional government department and the fate of a mother who willfully participated in a cult to the extent of handing over thousands of dollars.
I could well feel sorry for the children of the latter but that’s beside the point.
“It didn’t seem like a choice at the time”: So she’s STILL not prepared to take responsibility for what she did !
As for that Bouchey woman words fail me.
