The Republican party ought to start a move to purge the party of RINO’s. What is the point of people joining with like-minded to uphold certain principles and values and then let some deviant members rise to positions of leadership?
How in the world did George W Bush ever qualify as a Republican? When I ran for Congress in 2006, myself and other Republicans were running against the president in a mid-term election. Ridiculous but true.
In 2008, John McCain was the officially nominated GOP (Grand Old Party, i.e., Repubs) candidate running against Obama for the White House. His choice of Sarah Palin as VP candidate seemed to take away a lot of the attention that should have been focused on him.
Was the Wesley-Clark Memo Assigned to McCain?
GumshoeNews.com frequently re-runs the video in which General Wesley Clark (US Army, retired) spoke to Amy Goodman on the TV show Democracy Now. Clark made the astounding revelation that he had seen a Pentagon memo in late 2001, proposing that the US destroy “seven countries in five years.”
There were: Lebanon, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, Iran, Libya, and Syria. There was no need to list Afghanistan as the US was already warring in Afghanistan at the time of the memo. (I say “warring in” rather than “at war with” as it is pretty hard to see how that country had any means of attacking the almighty United States.)
John McCain died last week. His body was lying in state in the Capitol Rotunda, and he has received much praise. He has also received ongoing criticism from Vietnam vets who say he behaves as a traitor in Vietnam. I do not have the means to analyse that information.
Today I was surprised to come across an article by Tim Brown at freedomoutpost.com, which listed McCain’s interest in “doing a Wesley.”
He includes Libya, Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan, but does not mention Lebanon.
In regard to Africa Tim Brown omits any McCain connection to Sudan and Somalia but he does mention action in Mali and Nigeria.
And he adds Bosnia and Kosovo, Ukraine, Russia, and North Korea. Brown’s claim is that McCain was bloodthirsty. I now quote the text from www. freedomoutpost.com, dated August 21, 2018:
[McCain] was a key player under the Obama administration in helping to establish the Islamic State in the Middle East, even helping to fund and arm them, and he said so on national television!
McCain was not only a traitor to America, for these are only a few examples of his treason, but he was also a bloodthirsty man.
Here’s a list of unconstitutional wars the treasonous McCain begged for, which resulted in countless losses of life of innocents that demonstrate he was no hero. He was a devil.
Afghanistan and Iraq
Obviously, every US Senator (besides California’s Barbara Lee) voted to give President George W. Bush the power to invade Afghanistan following the events of September 11th. However, McCain wasn’t happy with just moving to invade Afghanistan. No, he had other targets on his mind as early as the day after the towers fell.
Despite McCain’s claim in 2014 that “the Iraq war probably wouldn’t have happened” if he had won the 2000 Republican primary and the general election, this assertion seems ridiculous. On September 12th, 2001, McCain appeared on MSNBC presenting an extensive list of countries he felt were providing a “safe harbor” to groups like al Qaeda. This list, of course, included Iraq and several other nations that appear later on this list.
Syria
Another country on that 2001 list (of course) was Syria. Now, the Bush regime may have never gotten a chance to continue toppling Mideast countries (thanks to the failure in Iraq and the exposure of that war being sold on lies). But McCain seemingly never lost sight of his hatred for Bashar Al-Assad.
Shortly after the Arab Spring “broke out” in Syria, McCain – and his constant partner in war crimes Sen. Lindsey Graham – quickly found communication channels with the “Syrian opposition.” Just a few short months after the US endorsed protests in Syria (even having their ambassador attend), McCain and Graham began calling for arms to start flowing to the Free Syrian Army and other “rebel” groups.
Libya
McCain’s plans for Syria never quite worked the way he wanted, but he probably should’ve known they would never yield a positive result. If McCain didn’t want to look at Iraq to prove that point, he had another more recent example he could’ve used: the NATO intervention in Libya.
It was less than a year before McCain wanted to arm Syrian takfiris that he had supported with the bombing and no-fly zones in Libya. McCain even wanted tougher actions against the country. Which has now become an anarchic Wild West that’s home to all sorts of horrors from the Islamic State to a new slave trade.
West and Central Africa
McCain is also a champion of the “war on terror” in other parts of Africa. While McCain hasn’t directly supported terrorists in some countries in Africa, he still has called for more US intervention across the continent.
This list includes countries dealing with Islamic insurgencies, such as Mali. McCain has also called for plans like “deploying Special Forces” to rescue girls kidnapped by Boko Haram in Nigeria and intervention in Sudan, where McCain and his wife have invested money for some time.
Iran
Another country on the list of hated nations initially put forth by Bush undersecretary of defense Paul Wolfowitz, and also another longtime target of McCain is, of course, Iran.
Although McCain has always said “he prays” there will never be a war with Iran, the man incessantly calls for it and even jokes about bombing the country when he feels the mood is right. The truth of the matter is, McCain’s positions towards Iran are so hostile that even flagship neoconservative institutions like the Cato Institute think he is too hawkish.
Bosnia and Kosovo
But McCain isn’t satisfied with just backing Salafi jihadists in the traditional Middle East and North African theaters. He’s also backed violent radicals across the fringes of Europe. This trend actually started in the mid-1990’s when McCain was a vocal supporter of then-president Bill Clinton’s war in Bosnia.
Many Muslims traveling to Bosnia joining the mujahideen there have since joined groups like IS in recent years. And IS flags can occasionally be seen in the Sunni areas of Bosnia now. McCain was still backing potential Takfiri movements, recently accusing Russia of interfering in local affairs, and calling for more US intervention in the country.
McCain made similar decisions when he advocated US intervention in Kosovo in the late 90’s. In the Kosovo conflict, McCain backed the Kosovo Liberation Army: a genocidal jihadist organization with ties to Al Qaeda under Osama Bin Laden.
Ukraine
Don’t be fooled into thinking that McCain only supports jihadists in Eastern Europe! He also backs the overt Nazis acting as death squads for Kiev in the ongoing Ukrainian conflict.
This, of course, started in 2014, but McCain has continued to pledge support for Kiev’s crimes in the Donbass region to this day. This is all par for the course in McCain’s larger theme of challenging Russia– the country he believes controls the separatists in eastern Ukraine.
Russia
The story of McCain’s hatred of Russia spans back to the Cold War. We won’t get into McCain’s fear of communism that’s evolved into just general Russophobia. But we will say he didn’t have many excuses to focus on making threats towards Moscow for a good 15-20 year stretch.
This changed in 2008, with the war in South Ossetia between Georgia and Russia. During this conflict, McCain was the loudest voice saying the US “should immediately call a meeting of the North Atlantic Council to assess Georgia’s security and review measures NATO can take to contribute to stabilizing this very dangerous situation.”
This same situation repeated in Ukraine in 2014 but McCain’s worst comments came this year. As soon as the US Intelligence Community’s accused Russia of interference in the 2016 US elections– and without any evidence– McCain was first to say the event was an “act of war.”
North Korea
The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DRPK/North Korea) was also an early target of McCain’s making his September 12th wish list. More recently though, the restyled “Trump opponent” McCain was all-in on the new regime’s saber rattling. Calling on Trump to strike the nuclear-armed country. [End of quote.]
That was a very helpful round-up by the host of Freedom Outpost (what a name!), Tim Brown.
Conclusion and a Word about Gumshoe
At the time of his death, Senator John McCain was chair of the very powerful Senate Armed Services Committee. It is thus possible that he was the middleman between the writer of the 2001 memo (which may have been Paul Wolfowitz, as hinted above) and the legislature.
Here I want to say that the outstanding critic of the Wesley Clark memo and of the war-monger John McCain has been an Australian editor of a non-mainstream media enterprise known as GumshoeNews.com, namely Dee McLachlan.
She has taken it as her mission to see that the plan of the US to go around destroying seven (or more) nations is not unnoticed. The Gumshoe community regularly weighs in on this, condemning the activity of the Pentagon
Please go back in time to October 16, 2014, where you will find the only careful analysis of the Wesley Clark memo available on the Internet today: “Analysis of the Memo of Destruction.”
Then go to the GumshoeNews article of September 18, 2014, where McLachlan tells us about “The Maestro of the Arab Wars, Senator McCain.”
RINO means Republican in Name Only
McCain’s own words:

In a CBS interview (2008) there was an interesting exchange with with Katie Couric:
Couric: You have said, quote, “I know how to win wars.” Which war, senator McCain, are you referring to?
Mccain: Bosnia. Kosovo. First gulf war. The conflict in iraq. To name a few. I’ve been engaged in every single one of them, and in a decision making process as one of the senior members of the armed services committee. And engaged in the debates on the floor of the united states senate. And involved in the armed services committee. I know those wars. I know conflicts. And I hate war. No one hates war more than the veteran who feels most plainly the loss of a veteran. AND I KNOW HOW TO WIN WARS.
He made some 32 tapes while in Hanoi, however it is obstruction in regards to the POW issue that raises the biggest flag about his character.
Worst than I thought, thanks Terry
A journal in Kenya has just come in with a terrific report, hailing McCain as the hero of the Military Industrial Complex.
God, haven’t we got the brains in Congress to prevent such corr

Maybe now he will stand trial and be held accountable k the deaths on aircraft carrier USS Forrestal that occurred in 1967 that killed 134 sailors and injured 161. This was at the hands of a stupid show pony act by John McCain. He was protected by his relative who was an admiral . What ever this chump did after this is just icing on the cake of power and privilege. He will meet his demons . Money and privilege does not extend to the where he is going.
Exactly! His show-boating “wet-start” killed 134 men and he scarpered from that by crying sick with the help of Admiral daddy. In addition to crashing several planes either through hutzpah or incompetence, he lied about his POW experience and covered up the evidence. Then went on to hold himself out as a war-hero and make $200 million in a $180KPA job!?
His shameless shilling for the military industrial complex resulting in the further deaths of thousands on both sides all round the middle east mainly. He took every opportunity to side with the globalists and sell the Republicans out to the Dems.
But my favourite McKain moments are personal ones:
1. Leaving his first wife because she became disabled in a car crash
2. Calling his second wife a “c**t” on live TV when she noted jokingly that his hair was thinning.
May he rot in hell.
“McCain the Insane” very aptly named. May he rot in hell! A coward , killer of his own service pals, by being a show off and traitor to his country.
The only decent thing he has ever done, is die before the mid-term elections, thereby saving an extra by- election

McCain’s testimony: “From time to time I was beaten when I refused to give more information. The beatings were quite short because every time they hit me I screamed so hard they went crazy.”
I can just imagine McCain now being beaten but the “angels” who are being driven crazy by his screams and John McCain saying “hey, this IS heaven, isn’t it?”
And what does this say about those hallowing this worst possible example of human depravity as a virtual prophet
The MSM is all over (praising) him.
For example cbs.com gives us the full speech by Obama in the national Cathedral:
“And much has been said this week about what a maverick John was. Now, in fact, John was a pretty conservative guy. Trust me: I was on the receiving end of some of those votes. But he did understand that some principles transcend politics, that some values transcend party. He considered it part of his duty to uphold those principles and uphold those values.
“John cared about the institutions of self-government, our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, rule of law, separation of powers, even the arcane rules and procedures of the Senate. He knew that in a nation as big and boisterous and diverse as ours, those institutions, those rules, those norms are what bind us together. They give shape and order to our common life, even when we disagree. Especially when we disagree.”
Ah yes – quite the orator – he got all the key words and phrases in. Here’s another of his finest …

Is McCain any more or less a traitor than the the maggoty secretocracy that protected and promoted him?
The indoctrination of nationalism is shown here with McCain, surely he becoming a war hungry individual shows how the mind can become manipulated and no amount of reason or experience can change this mind set once it has become set, within the brain, surely the bombing he undertook in Vietnam of disproportionate technology of people that were by comparison to the Vietnamese who were a peasant farming country, the injustice that these people never had a platform to voice there point of view, to many intelligent people the inability for those to have a say is a travesty of that McCain never realized, and this is what we are faced with today, that is how we assume what reality is although the propaganda is extensive with regard to superiority that effects our ability to know the truth.
Wow, Don.
… the injustice that these people never had a platform..
Unlike most journalists of the time, I had access to Communist communications, including descriptions of his words published on Hanoir radio. As I recall, among US servicemen, he had the nickname the Canary of Hanoi, (not Songbird, on my memory but maybe I am wrong). Great propaganda for Giap. His fellow POWs detested McCain and said collaboration was the sole reason for his hospital treatment.
In my opinion, McCain was desperate to have MIAs prevented from coming home because some would have provided testimony that would have had him out of the Senate.
Interesting that there is not one positive post about McCain – and that includes every forum I visit. Every poster considers him a POS. However, the MSM and political class want to deify him.
It is a complete reality disconnect, the establishment wants to polish a turd and we are suppose to go along with it. – What a significant illustration of how bad things have become. – Yeah, piss on my head and tell me its’ raining.
The kindest comment I read quoted “de mortuis nihil nisi bonum” (of the dead [speak] nothing unless good) – and went on to say “He’s dead – good!“

– according to the petition invitation I received, the MSM isn’t reporting on this.
Is it coincidence that this was reported on the very day of McCain’s “death”, by hrw.org? https://www.hrw.org/news/2018/08/25/syria-isis-holding-children-hostage
