EDITOR’S NOTE: The blast in Beirut reminds us all of the events 75 years ago. Yesterday, August 6, 2020,was the 75th anniversary of the terrible deed committed at Hiroshima, Japan. Gumshoe cannot do original research on this. We are copying an article that appeared four years ago at ChernobylGuide.com (October 4, 2016). Also see Gumshoe’s article on the destruction of Hiroshima.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki then and now. Is there life after a nuclear blast? When the U.S. air forces dropped these two bombs on two Japanese states, it was a first reported incident, when nuclear weapon was used for warfare. The blasts had killed thousands of military and civil people, and numerous other residents got serious injuries and radiation dosages.
For years, ground, air and living organisms in this area still carry that radionuclide, which negatively influence the environment. Furthermore, such attack seriously damaged the overall world’s environment, and many researches note Hiroshima and Nagasaki blasts as reasons of global warming and ozone hole formation.
Nevertheless, both cities were rebuilt, and today there live and work numerous people. Furthermore, Hiroshima and Nagasaki now attract thousands of foreign tourists every year. People travel here and are willing to learn the Hiroshima history of this area and see, what is the life after the collapse is like. But here you will not see miles of dead burnt soil and destroyed buildings. Instead, modern Hiroshima today is a normal busy Japanese city.
History
So let us see, how the Japanese managed to handle reconstruction of Hiroshima, and what is Hiroshima now like. Short facts about Hiroshima Today Hiroshima is the biggest city on one of the four Japanese islands, Honsu. If translated from Japanese, the name of the city stands for ‘broad island’.
Hiroshima officially got the status of the city back in 1889, and by 1980 it became recognized as the designated city. Population of this city, as the 2006, equals to 1.154.391. Established on the delta of the river close to the coastline, Hiroshima became another town, which was built by the Japanese warlord Mori Terumoto. He left the Aki Province and was seeking for a place for the new residence.
During the imperial period, which took place between 1871 and 1939, Hiroshima was an important urban center and the most meaningful city on Honsu Island. In the early 1880s, here was established a harbor, which made the city an important and powerful trading and shipping place.
Railway
By 1894, the Japanese railway was prolonged to reach this city, and this change very positively influenced economical life of the city. During the Sino-Japanese war, the government was headquartered in Hiroshima, and the harbor and railway were used for military purposes. Another important fact about the city is multilinguism of its citizens, as here were many schools. So no wonder, that the rounds of talks took place in this city.
By the end of 19th century, many plants were established in this city, including cotton mills, industrial facilities and those, which produced military supplies. When World War I started, Hiroshima was an important point of constant military activity, as prisoners from German side were held on one of the islands in the Hiroshima Bay.
The end of the imperial period of Japan coincides with the start of the World War II. At this period, Hiroshima also played an important role in the warfare actions, and along with Nagasaki suffered from the nuclear bomb blast.
Typhoon
A month after the nuclear bomb explosion, Hiroshima was severely attacked with a typhoon, which ruined almost half of the bridge in the area and caused further damages to the bombed city, which suffered from extremely high radiation level and malnutrition.
As a result of this typhoon, over 3.000 of citizens died and got lethal injuries. Roads and railways were completely destroyed, so at the place of pre-war Hiroshima was a nuclear desert, washed by the sea from one side.
Reconstruction
However by 1949, the city was rebuilt with the help of the country’s government, which provided the necessary financial support and even donated the lands, which before belonged to the government and were used specifically for the military purposes. For this purpose, Japanese government even initiated a law regarding Hiroshima Peace Memorial. The same year, there was approved the design of the Memorial Park in the city. In the park there is also a Peace Pagoda, made of steel.
In 1949, the Hiroshima mayor officially proclaimed the city as the City of Peace, so as of that time it became a real attraction for international conferences holding. Here were many conferences on social aspect and peace, and in 1992 there was established associations of guides and interpreters, who helped to facilitate the conferences. It is curious, that the Mayor of Hiroshima is the official president of the association of Mayors for Peace.
Climate in Hiroshima and Nagasaki Today
Overall, the climate in the present day Hiroshima may be described as subtropical, thus features modest and mild winters, while the summers are hot.
The city of Hiroshima, Japan today is very much similar to the one in the rest of Japanese islands, which may be described as follows: August is the warmest month; It is extremely dry here in winters; Rainfalls usually take place in June and the beginning of July; January here is the coldest month. The modern Hiroshima nowadays attracts many tourists and is a popular place to visit.
Many people come here on business or search for open vacancies in terms of employment. As for demographics of Hiroshima city today, the population of Hiroshima has changed in accordance with the certain events in Japan.
Population
Changes in the number of population are caused with the life level in the city, as by the end of the World War II the city suffered from malnutrition and many people had to leave with the evacuation waves. Furthermore, numerous people died immediately after the nuclear bomb blast, and many got serious injuries, which lead to death or diseases.
Let us consider some official data regarding the demographic situation in this Japanese city. As reported in 1910, the population of Hiroshima was around 142,000 to 144,000. Before the World War II started, the city had slightly over 360,000 of citizens. By 1942, when many military officers and soldiers came to the location in Hiroshima, the number of residents boosted up to 420,000.
After the nuclear bomb blast and serious human losses, the population of the city rapidly decreased up to 137,000. According to the reports of 1955, only by this year did the population level became equal to the pre-war state. As of 2006, the population in the Hiroshima was 1,154.400, while the overall number of people, who live in the metropolitan area, is around 2,044.000.

With the introduction to this article mentioning the blast in Beirut, I expect that there is a suspicion that the Beirut blast was also a nuclear blast.
Here’s a video that MAY give support to an incoming nuclear device –
https://rense.com/general96/beirut-fb.mp4
I can’t give any support to the video as I have no idea if it is legit. However, I have been around many high explosive explosions (particularly 19 May 1968 when the NVA hit the ammo dump at Camp Evans in Viet Nam, I was at ground zero for 14 hours).
The shock wave propagation from something like an ANFO explosion (ammonium nitrate and fuel oil) is considerably different than a high explosive. A high explosive shock wave will strip the concrete from the re-bar in a structure (like at the bar in Bali), while a slow moving ANFO wave is more like a bulldozer, it moves things, but at a slower pace. If a SF team uses ANFO to take out a bridge, they do not place the ANFO around the bridge supports as the resulting shock wave moves too slow and simply goes around the support. What they do instead is to bury the ANFO underground to MOVE THE SUPPORT from underneath the structure.
This is important when looking at the film of the Beirut blast. To me, the speed of the shock wave is consistent with a very high explosive, not ammonium nitrate (without even fuel oil to assist). – It may be that the ammonium nitrate stored there was a cover for an attack.
Having said that, I await further analysis. I note that the crater from the blast is not consistent with a fertilizer bomb, yet it does have the general shape of the warehouse that the fertilizer was stored in. At this point I need more information.
Thank you, Terry. If you get more, please fill us in.
Here is a bit that someone just wrote about ANFO –
“ANFO”, commonly pronounced as “an-fo” is a widely used bulk industrial explosive which consists of 94% porous, prilled ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3). To FACILITATE an ANFO chain reaction (explosion) the nitropril REQUIRES at least a 6 percent fuel component which is typically diesel, but kerosene, coal dust, racing fuel, or even molasses can be used, all of which are not plentiful in Beirute let alone any of them being stored where the fertilizer was housed at the Ignition point of that blast. Also, if “Raman hyperspectral imaging” is employed to analyse the huge physically evident crater left behind by the blast, it would prove CONCLUSIVELY once and for all the explosive detonated there could not have been ANFO.
When ANFO is detonated, its signature pathway of the expanding gasses, TAKES THE LEAST LINE OF RESISTANCE that NEVER leaves any discernible “crater” for instance under a vehicle loaded with ANFO which has been detonated. The “fireworks fire” sited in a “factory” to the east of the huge crater left which was adjacent to the destroyed wheat silos (to its south) was a deliberate con in an attempt to “explain” to the sheeple – via the controlled media as to the (make believe) “cause”, of the magnitude 3.3 (Richter scale) explosion beside the port of Beirute.
Alex Thomson from UK Column has another interesting theory on the Beirut blast. Starts about 49.00
.https://www.ukcolumn.org/ukcolumn-news/uk-column-news-5th-august-2020
That certainly makes more sense than the nuclear theory
Good channel too!
Thanks.
Wendy a great channel -and comments interesting–
“The Prime Minister and presidency have said 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate, used in fertilisers and bombs, had been stored for six years without safety measures at the port warehouse that blew up.”

Are you saying they’re lying?
And if so, to what purpose?
All told it’d be well nigh impossible to pull off a cover-up of a nuclear blast
‘ Well nigh impossible to pull off a cover-up of a nuclear blast ….. really ? ‘
Mini-nukes were used in the Bali Bombing and a series of them were used in the demolition of the Twin Towers on 9/11 and yet most people have no idea.

Close Up Footage of Beirut Explosion in Lebanon
If nothing more, a stark reminder that the destruction wrought by empirical rivalry has long since been replaced the enemy within:
https://phys.org/news/2015-07-hiroshima-nagasaki-fukushima-long-term-psychological.html
There is another theory doing the rounds at the moment. That is, that there were in fact two blasts. The first was a relatively small one set off by the Israelis in an assassination attempt at a Hizbollah leader residing in the vicinity. That blast in turn Set off the bigger blast of the poorly stored explosives. Whether or not the Israelis knew of the storage (which is highly likely they did) is irrelevant from a legal point of view. They are deemed to be responsible for the consequences of their actions.
I suspect you are right on the money, James.
There are compelling reasons why the Israelis should be the perpetrators, not the least of which is their published intention to take over Lebanon along with the entire Middle East; and also their hatred of Hezbollah, which defeated Israel following Israel’s provocative attack a few years ago.
Israel, or more specifically, the Mossad, had the opportunity, the motivation, the capacity, and an appalling record of similar attacks around the world including, I might add, 9/11.
Add to that a psychopathic national leader, Netanyahu, and that is lots of circumstantial reason to place Israel at the top of the list of suspects.
As Terry pointed out, the behaviour of that explosion was totally wrong for an ammonium nitrate explosion, even if diesel was complicit. I very much doubt even the corrupt Lebanese Government would not have heard warning bells if diesel storage was in that location.
What I am more worried about now is why no authoritative explosives expert has not pointed out the obvious. If this silence continues we have proof of a genuine inter-government conspiracy. Well, with Macron leaping onto the stage, yet another dimension has been added from stage right.
Seems you’re the only one to bring up Rotschild employee Macron but to me that was the first signal, at least after video of the typical mushroom shape, well at least Melbourne won’t cop a mini-nuke, maybe unless they notice all the Jews have suddenly departed.
My original thoughts when I saw the explosion on video a couple of days ago were Israel and a nuclear bomb. But who am I? A conspiracy theorist of course. I am using past evidence activity as a tool of logic.
Who is it that wants to close down Hezbollah and most things Lebonese? Who is it that organised the bombing of the Twin Towers on 9/11. Who is it that did the two bombings in Indonesia? Who is it that illegally has nuclear bombs?
Mal, I’m with you.
That huge shock wave that accompanied the Beirut Blast sure looked a hell of a lot like one associated with a tactical nuke.
For those not familiar with the term ‘tactical nuke’, it refers to smaller nukes designed to annihilate smaller regions of tactical importance.
These have been around since the 1950’s.
An example of a conventional ‘city destroyer’, the Hiroshima bomb was a 10 kT equivalent of TNT.
Modern nukes are orders of magnitude more powerful.
That said, the bigger of the two bombs detonated in the Bali Bombing false flag was estimated to be a 0.1 kT tactical nuke.
Each of the mini-nukes (one per floor or every alternate floor) that blew up WTC 1 and WTC 2 on 9/11 could well have been of that magnitude (give or take).
Bldg 7 meanwhile, was brought down using conventional explosives in a textbook controlled demolition.
I was thinking about sardines at lunchtime, then I reminded myself that the World’s oceans are still impregnated with radiation from the Fukashima explosion and fallout from all the other experiments and accidents.
Most others have forgotten these attacks on Nature by humans, to our determent.
I posted the following comment elsewhere last night but it’s more appropriate here :
James O’Neill, if you haven’t already read it, the following article titled ‘John Pilger: Another Hiroshima is Coming, Unless We Stop It Now’ will be of particular interest :
https://www.lewrockwell.com/2020/08/no_author/john-pilger-another-hiroshima-is-coming-unless-we-stop-it-now/
John Pilger is arguably the greatest Australian journalist of the last 50 years and he doesn’t disappoint here.
Simply outstanding how Pilger ties in the mistakes made in the lead up to that depraved act 75 years ago with the present day demonisation of China and the potential catastrophic consequences if we [the U.S and slavish vassals like Australia] don’t immediately curtail our provocations.

On Sunday it will be the 75th anniversary of the nuking of Nagasaki.
Taken from the following article :
https://www.mintpressnews.com/christianity-nagasaki-bomb/219373/
are a few paragraphs suggesting there was an ulterior motive for dropping the A-bomb on Nagasaki :
“In a nation whose citizens are historically non-Christian (Shintoism or Buddhism are the major religions), a disproportionately large number of the Nagasaki victims were Christian.
Ironically, prior to the bomb exploding directly over the Urakami Cathedral, Nagasaki was the most Christian city in Japan, and the massive cathedral had been the largest Christian church building in the Orient.
Nagasaki is famous in the history of Japanese Christianity. The city had the largest concentration of Christians in all of Japan. St. Mary’s Urakami Cathedral was the megachurch of its time, with 12,000 baptised members.
Urakami Cathedral – one of only two* Nagasaki landmarks that could be positively identified from 31,000 feet up – became Ground Zero.
( *The other identifiable aiming point landmark was the Mitsubishi armaments factory complex – which had run out of raw materials because of the successful Allied naval blockade. So, to all intents and purposes, the Mitsubishi armaments factory was of no military value since its output had already been curtailed).
At 11:02 a.m., during Thursday morning confessions, an unknown number of Nagasaki Christians were boiled, evaporated, carbonised or otherwise disappeared in a scorching, radioactive fireball that exploded 500 metres above the cathedral.
Most Nagasaki Christians did not survive the blast. Six thousand of them died instantly, including all who were at confession that morning. Of the 12,000 church members, 8,500 of them eventually died as a result of the bomb. Many of the others were seriously sickened with a highly lethal entirely new disease: radiation sickness.
Located near the cathedral were three orders of nuns and a Christian girl’s school. They all disappeared into black smoke or became chunks of charcoal.”
So there we have it. The shadowy figures / financiers that controlled U.S military doctrine and foreign policy during WW II, the same group that presided over the despicable fire bombings and murder of hundreds of thousands of civilians in CHRISTIAN Germany in that same war, are very much the same entity as is calling the shots today.
It has been alleged that they purposely chose the Christian Urakami Cathedral in Nagasaki as Ground Zero.
Coincidence ? You decide.
Truth,
Good points. There’s probably more Christians than followers of Islam in Beirut. Fifty fifty at a guess.

Glad you asked Johno,

Think sometimes the idea of a false flag can be taken as the psyop “pebbly bend”, as has happened or a hoax. There are many shades between the black and white however. False flag is just the perpetrator hiding themselves and presenting a patsy. They can be massive and kill many, seeming ritualistic to me because of dates and modus, or a lone gunner in a chocolate store, seemingly a small self inflicted tragedy.
The enemy(patsy), can be a virus or “act of god” too.

The GT-R type32 was just a ridiculously capable car with number plates.
Godzilla was a Gorilla crossed with a whale movie star, but cheap SFX had to go with a t-Rex model.
Gamera was a giant turtle by memory.
Simon, seeing as you’re referencing the R32 GT-R Nissan (aka Godzilla), you’re obviously a car enthusiast like myself.
Having owned an R33 GT-R many moons ago, I know where you’re coming from.
I believe this is what Simon was alluding to … 😊

Trump gave the Russians Syria in return for giving Golan Heights to the Zionists and now the US is out of there thankfully, leave it to the rest of them with their ancient disputes. Paul Craig Roberts says the Zionists want south Lebanon so what better way to start than a mini-nuke on Port of Beirut. Rotschild employee Macron organising the relief effort just as he jumped in to rebuild the Notre Dame after the accidental inferno (by unknown persons, well, who cares who, we don’t, right) during Thursday night rush hour the day before Easter.
Well, a wise ant doesn’t stand in the way of a bulldozer. Greater Zion is surely underway, nothing to do with me, PCR told us.

According to this article the Port of Beirut was a key geostrategic node in the new Silk Road initiative – which had to be kneecapped.
This could also explain why Macron was in Lebanon almost as quickly as Ehud Barak was in the BBC studios on 911.
They certainly do not want China to be involved in the ’rebuilding’. Who knows, Lebanon might even ask China to assist in setting up a much needed air defence system against its aggressive ‘neighbours’. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. This latest act of global terrorism might just backfire on the perpetrators.
The linked article goes on:
“Here I will add that the US-China fight over the Beirut Port is not yet over. One wonders what went through the mind of the wily Chinese ambassador in Lebanon to witness the Beirut Port exploding as it shockingly did: to witness his pet project and assignment be destroyed right before his eyes and right before a signed agreement was made between him and the Lebanese government of Diab. And knowing the Chinese, they will see this as an opportunity to entrench their feet even further in Lebanon by offering both a rebuilding and a security deal to the Beirut Port, whereas the deal on the table before Beirutshima was smaller and only for expansion and renovation.”
“Beirutshima” – how appropriate.
P.S. I think Melbourne is safe – I doubt that Andrews would be betraying his five-eyes overlords.
‘bg’ writes : “Trump gave the Russians Syria”.
Too funny.
As if Trump had any input in the outcome.
It was Putin, and Putin ALONE, who was responsible for the destiny of Syria.
And, from the minute that Russia entered the fray, the Mossad/CIA trained jihadist mercenary army (aka ISIS) was doomed – as was the Trump/Neocon inspired strategy to pursue regime change and oust Bashar al Assad.
Veggie, thanks to you I have really learned the meaning of the word “back-dribbler” (but nothing else)
Fish, your analysis and research on the ‘Beirutshima incident’ certainly fits with the known facts.
As for the ‘Macron on the scene almost as fast as Ehud Barak in BBC studios on 9/11’ comment, that cracked me up.
