This morning in Sydney: Signs alerting the public that Round Up pesticide application was in progress. This announced yesterday: Sri Lanka’s New President Puts Immediate Ban on Glyphosate Herbicides.

NaturalBlaze reports: (sourced from: http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/ 25th May at 9.04)

Sri Lanka’s newly elected President Maithripala Sirisena announced Friday that the import of the World’s most used herbicide glyphosate will be banned with immediate effect. The release of already imported stocks has also been stopped.

Sirisena, a farmer and ex Health Minister,  stated that glyphosate is responsible for the increasing number of chronic kidney disease (CKDu) patients in Sri Lanka and added that the move would protect the Sri Lankan farming community.

And this was reported on GovtslavesEU dropped plans for safer pesticides because of TTIP and pressure from US

EU plans to regulate hormone-damaging chemicals found in pesticides have been dropped because of threats from the US that this would adversely affect negotiations for the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), according to a report in The Guardian.  …Minutes of the meeting on June 26 show Commission officials saying that “although they want the TTIP to be successful, they would not like to be seen as lowering the EU standards.” Nonetheless, the European Commission capitulated shortly afterwards.

The Netherlands also said no to Round Up (reported on inhabitat,  09/29/14) following Russia and Mexico.

The dangers are well known. (E.g. Article on Autism and Other Chronic Disease, and Scientific Americans’s article on Weed-Whacking Herbicide Proves Deadly to Human Cells.)

Will Minister Andrew Robb inform Australians whether the use of pesticides, such as Round Up, is to be allowed under the terms of the secret Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) deal?

  1. Monsanto ‘weeds’ Hyde Park.
Monsanto produces ‘Roundup’ and other weird crops and stuff.
Won’t see mention of any of this in the private mainstream media.
Why not? Well see what comes from Robert Kennedy jnr.

Kennedy Drops Bombshell: 70% News Ad Revenue From Pharma
    By Jefferey Jaxen
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is at it again. After speaking in Sacramento, California against SB-277, pummeling the Centers for Disease Control during public testimony in Vermontand appearing on Bill Maher’s HBO show to do the same, he has now broke major news during a recent interview. Speaking with former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura regarding the vaccine industry and big pharma, Kennedy confirmed what many have assumed by stating:

“I ate breakfast last week with the president of a network news division and he told me that during non-election years, 70% of the advertising revenues for his news division come from pharmaceutical ads. And if you go on TV any night and watch the network news, you’ll see they become just a vehicle for selling pharmaceuticals. He also told me that he would fire a host who brought onto his station a guest who lost him a pharmaceutical account.”

These powerful admissions by Kennedy are made with the supporting backdrop of five-time Emmy Award winning investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson recently stated:

“If people were simply covering in terms of news value, facts, and fairness we’d be giving way more coverage to vaccine side effects, autism, ADD, and all the immune disorders that have emerged in the past and been made untouchable by this environment that I’ve discussed with you (referring to astroturfing.)

Indeed it appears that we are seeing a major push by highly unethical, fraudulent pharmaceutical companies attempting to legally corral the entire American public into unwilling consumers of their vaccine products. This current move has revealed major conflicts-of-interest among many senators, news organizations and regulatory agencies. In addition, there appears to be a near mutiny among good senators and congressmen who are rapidly introducing bills to counter the drug company-sponsored vaccine exemption removal push being witnessed in state houses across the U.S.

Now Mr Anrew Robb and colleagues; How about telling us what is proposed for the benefit of the global corporate profits in the TPP.

Be carefull Barnaby, that Andrew fellow and his mates might be wanting to let all the foreign dogs through the TPP secret hole in the fence ……….. then we will all be buggered.

    • ” … 70% of the advertising revenues for his news division come from pharmaceutical ads.” Ned, you went on to mention vaccines in your post but the largest proportion of those ads would be for anti-depressants. This “depression industry” is a racket, a crime, a cancer that is eating away at society. There is no scientific backing for these anti-depressants or for the “chemical imbalance” theory of depression. These drugs were passed by the U.S. FDA following fraudulent clinical trials and bribes. The end result has been a massive explosion in the number of suicides in the past 2 or 3 decades because these drugs actually PRODUCE psychosis, and they cure nothing. I recently read about the prevalence of depression among professional footballers in Australia. This is not normal – a few decades ago such a thing was virtually non-existent.
This is another major fraud on society that people are afraid to talk about, either because they have been brainwashed by the propaganda put out regarding depression or because they are afraid of the power of the pharmaceutical industry.

  2. Be interesting to be appraised of the attitude of The Lord Mayor of Sydney, Ms. Clover Moore.
The Lord Mayor of Sydney is known for being proactive in regard to convenient populist policies.
Years back The Lord Mayor banned Tim Tams from council as they were the product of slave labour harvesting cocoa.
This week The Lord Mayor has banned smoking in Martin Place in Sydney.
One would trust that Her Worship is cognizant of all the warnings about ’round up’ found throughout the world.
Unfortunately, many of the cyclists passing by the ’round up’ treatment warning signs in the council signs would not have the time to note the pesticide warnings as they streak by the lower class pedestrians.
Be interesting to know how much the Sydney ratepayers pay for the roundup stuff.
I have read somewhere that a great weed controller is ‘vinegar’. Given time I may do some further inquiry into the claims of vinegar use, preferably some of the Internet brains trust have a non toxic ‘solution’ for weeds in our good city?
In the meantime, perhaps the homeless should disist from laying a ground sheet in Hyde Park for a nights kip.
    (Hi Ms. Collins. (:-) )

    • Dear Ned, I appreciate your point. Maybe the local council is the place to deal with Hyde Park’s pesticiding.
But local control leads me to mention, for any interested Aussies, a wonderful article by Tasmanian barrister David Mitchell, in the April 2012 edition of Quadrant.

He argued “Why local government should not be recognized in the [Commonwealth] Constitution.”
I was a fan of devolution (I am anti-big-ness generally), but had not realized until Mitchell explained, how the feds would wreck the sovereignty of the states if they are allowed to ‘help’ municipalities.

Of course I should have realized that it is a typical trick. In the US, there is a rather hush-hush move to replace counties with 10 national Regions. Sounds benign and ‘efficient,’ but has awful consequences in terms of accountability and visibility.

  3. In reply to Mary’s post of May 29, 9.09 am –

I don’t have the exact numbers at hand but I have read that among those serving soldiers who committed suicide, a significant number of them had not yet seen active service. In other words, it was not PTSD that led to their suicides but most likely the culture of a widespread use of antidepressants.

  4. The Lord Mayor of Sydney spends much on Council’s media extragance.
So do we take it that an absence of a statement from The Lord Mayor of Sydney alleviating concerns about Monsanto in Sydney Parks, that the Council’s media conglomerate is a waste of space?
Ditto to whoever is the media mob for the health Minister in Macquarie Street.
Per favour, could a reader pl ease refer them to this article. They will ignore anything crom me.
If some shock jock cares, where are they?

  5. Further.
Leaving aside the typos in the previous comment.
The Lord Mayor of Sydney has banned smoking in Martin Place in Sydney and supports healthy pedaling with bike tracks being laid out at great expense and inconvenience.
It is very weird therefore, that Council sprays Sydney parks with roundup in view of all the international reports and questions concerning the health
    risks.
Is there an opposition on our council?
