The voters in New York have spoken. 100,000 of them. Every one decided to put signature and their details to paper to support the High-Rise Safety Initiative – an investigation into the collapse of the third skyscraper – WTC 7 – on the 11th September 2001. The building was not hit by a plane – but just ‘collapsed’ in almost free fall. Now the voters have spoken and it is incumbent upon the City of New York to honor their request for a measure to be placed on the ballot requiring the City to investigate the collapse of WTC 7 – and whether it was purposefully demolished.

Like little termites eating away at a weatherboard house, groups like Architects and Engineers have been gnawing away at this for many years now. A very interesting angle – if the building was not deliberately brought down, then it assumes a lack of safety for high-rise buildings – that they can collapse due a a nearby fire. Clever.
