The first subject of this article is my ignorance about ritual abuse. And if I’m ignorant of a matter that I have spent years researching, it’s safe to say that such ignorance is also out there in the population, and in the legal profession. Today I’m calling for any interested reader to concentrate on this issue in hopes that we can make further dents in it.
I guess there is such a thing as “free-lance” abuse of children, but that won’t be discussed here – my focus is on the pedophile networks that operate like organized crime, complete with top-notch ability to avoid being caught or charged.
There is also such a thing as mind control, separate from using a kid for sex. (Note: “using a kid for sex” can be for the perpetrator’s pleasure, or for money-making pornography, or as part of a blackmail operation to control politicians.) In today’s article I won’t take up the general subject of mind control, but a key part of it, dissociation, will be mentioned.
There is such a thing as ritual abuse in which a rite or ceremony is performed. It may include human sacrifice and an orgy. Apparently it has a history going back to ancient times but I only know of its manifestations after 1950. (Not from personal experience, but from interviewing survivors.) Ritual abuse is a main topic in this article.
We in Australia have heard plenty from Fiona Barnett, author of Eyes Wide Open, which is a free download. Fiona was victimized by a network in the town where she grew up, Engadine, NSW, and then by American military persons in the MK-Ultra program. She has said, and I believe her, that she participated in child sacrifice rites in the Great Hall of Sydney University and in Bathhurst City Hall. In each, there was a big audience, none of whose members have ever ratted on the murderers!

We know of the Royal Commission that ran from 2014 though 2017. It yielded an apology in Parliament in Canberra, read by Prime Minister Morrison, who included “ritual abuse” in his speech.
We in Australia have a London-born researcher, Diane DeVere, whose grandmother was connected to Tavistock.
Ignorance
Here are five things I don’t know:
*1. How does modern-day ritual abuse connect back to pre-modern?
*2. How do today’s networks have so much power that they never get punished?
*3. How do judges get appointed in such a way that only “No see, no hear” judges will rule from the bench?
*4. Why did the Royal Commission on Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse refuse to listen to any parent whose kid is a current-day victim? (The RC listened to thousands of historic cases, such as of abuse in the Church.)
*5. What are the particulars of dissociation that act as barriers to reporting by the victim?
Dissociation
I’ll mention that last one first. A well-trained mind controller can use torture to force a person to split off part of his mind to avoid pain (probably even to avoid a painful thought such as “Your mother hates you.”)
I don’t know the extent to which the purpose of forcing the split-offs is to prevent the person from reporting the crime of rape and torture, but it does have that effect. For one thing the core person – say, Sally — may be prevented from seeing her other part, Joan, get raped. Sally may go to school the next day and be all sweet and happy as far as her teachers can tell, despite having been raped. (When Joan got raped, Sally must have gotten raped but does not know it.)
My much-tortured friend, the late Trish Fotheringham (1950-2020), said that she had an inner part who held the job of Reporter. The reporter, Mazie, would snitch on other parts. So if Tommy (she had boy parts as well as girl parts) called the police, Mazie would call the perpetrator to warn that Tommy called the police. Of course Tommy would get holy hell from the perps for having made that absolutely forbidden phone call.
I do not know how Mazie and Tommy would have communicated. To some extent there are parts who are unaware of other parts. Happily, there may be a part — “Mrs Smith” — whose job is to console the hurting part. Trish told me, and I think Wendy Hoffman said similar, that if a substitute trainer was on duty and made a new part but forgot to tell the “owner” about it, that part might fall outside the system of control by the big operator.
Trish must have told me a dozen times that all humans dissociate on a regular basis. They don’t form named alters – no Tommy or Mrs Smith, etc. Rather we just block out some things and are conscious of others. Perhaps it is what George Orwell called “doublethink.”
The Other Four Items of My Ignorance
I am in a hurry to get to some information provided by Dr Ellen Lachter, so I will just squeeze three of the 5 areas down to one: How the networks avoid punishment, how the “right’ judges get appointed, and why the RC did not welcome current cases, are all the same, I suppose. You can ask Rachel Vaughan. She proved beyond doubt that it is impossible to get SAPOL, the South Australian Police, to arrest a child murderer, if that man is protected by the networks. And Family Court and Childrens’ Court judges will NOT make proper rulings in abuse cases.
As for the other item – my statement that I do not know how the ancient stuff connects to the modern stuff — it, too, may bear upon the amazing power of the perpetrators to control the law.
Note: Australian ex-lawyer Serene Teffaha has declared she will “deal with” the nastiest judges. She is a brilliant advocate for abused kids. Of her we might say “hell hath no fury like that of a solicitor disbarred.” Possibly her case could turn the tide. There is an ex-pat Aussie living in the wilds of New Hampshire who is completely in Serene’s camp. Ahem.
The Legal Issues Addressed by Dr Ellen Lachter
Ellen Lachter is a psychotherapist in California. Her info-rich website is endritualabuse.org. She has gone to some lengths to inform fellow therapists of the dangers of filing a Suspected Child Abuse Report (SCAR)/. Per California penal code 11166:
(a)… a mandated reporter shall make a report to an agency specified in Section 11165.9 whenever the mandated reporter, in the mandated reporter’s professional capacity or within the scope of the mandated reporter’s employment, has knowledge of or observes a child whom the mandated reporter knows or reasonably suspects has been the victim of child abuse or neglect. The mandated reporter shall make an initial report by telephone to the agency immediately or as soon as is practicably possible….
[Interestingly, the term mandated reporter includes not just doctors and teachers, but film processors and computer technicians who find relevant photographic matter.]
(c) A mandated reporter who fails to report an incident of known or reasonably suspected child abuse or neglect as required by this section is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months confinement in a county jail or by a fine of one thousand dollars ($1,000) or by both that imprisonment and fine.
Lachter is often in the horns of a dilemma. She may want to file a report of ritual abuse, but is faced with the reality of these four proven facts:
#1. If she reports it against the victim’s wishes (but according to legal requirement), she may lose the trust of that victim.
#2. If she mentions “ritual” sexual abuse rather than ordinary sexual abuse, there is a greater chance that the judge will rule against the protective parent in a custody case. (Note: Lachter in US and we in Oz know that a judge is likely even in ordinary sexual abuse cases, to wrest the child from the protective parent, usually the mother. But she says it gets worse when there is a pedophile network involved.
#3. The reporter herself may end up being killed by the network. It has happened.
Alternatively,
“When psychotherapists fail to file mandated SCAR upon reasonable suspicion of abuse, there is significant likelihood that this failure to report will later come to light in a release or subpoena of records, an insurance company audit, a lawsuit or licensing complaint against the therapist, etc. The therapist is criminally and civilly liable for having failed to file a SCAR and could lose his/her license and face criminal charges.”
#4. Both adult and child victims who have been coerced through torture to hurt or kill other victims are terrified that they may be judged by LE as accomplices and may be subject to arrest.
(I think the majority of such victims were also perpetrators. Kathleen A. Sullivan, in her book Unshackled, said her father would taunt her with “You do the crime, you serve the time.”)
The Behavior of the Courts and LE (Law Enforcement)
Now for some things that occur in US that are very similar to Australia. These are from Ellen Lachter’s website:
“It is my experience and the experience of many other professionals in fields of mental health, child protection, law enforcement, and the law, that SCARs that refer to ritual, ritualistic, or other networked child abuse are less likely to trigger investigations by CPS and LE than SCARs that do not reference such elements.”
Lachter lists features of ritual abuse:
— the abuse generally begins in infancy or young childhood;
— the abusers systematically manipulate victims’ dissociative capacities and dissociated identities to coerce submission, to guard against disclosure, and to gain life-long control of victims (this is often referred to as “mind control” and “trauma-based programming”).
— the abuse often involves coerced perpetration of abuse by victims against other victims;
— and the abuse often involves filming children being raped and tortured.
I add, that for a ritual to occur, there has to be some background factor of religion, such as a Satan figure. After all, if you are “sacrificing” a child (or an animal) you are doing so to please a supernatural entity.
Lachter notes: “In their national investigation of 270 cases of substantiated sexual abuse of 1,639 children in daycare, Finkelhor, Williams, and Burns (1988) found 13% of the cases involved allegations of ritual abuse.” The Finkelhor article is obtainable at PubMed.gov’s comprehensive guide to articles in medical journals.
Lachter mentions that the role of the therapist is very important, as an LE person rarely understands that a victim does not need to look victim-ish to be telling a genuine story:
“These abusers terrorize victims to never disclose the abuse with specific focus on preventing disclosure to police and child protection investigators. [They] skillfully manipulate victims’ minds to sequester awareness of the abuse in submerged, abuse-bound identities, while “front” identities are trained to appear normal.
“I know of cases in which LE officials investigated and said, ‘None of the children appear to be fearful.’ CPS and LE investigators do not understand that extreme terrorization and skillful psychological manipulation are inevitable in such cases. They are likely to interpret a child’s failure to disclose abuse and a facade of apparent normalcy as indicative of no abuse.”
What I want to emphasize most, as it has such relevance for Gunmshoe’s efforts in Family Court matters, is that there has been no lightening up of the clamp on prosecutor action. It may even be getting worse, sorry to say. I quote Ellen Lachter again:
“CPS and LE may be pressured from ‘above,’ e.g., the office of DA [district attorney], not to investigate allegations of ritual abuse because of failed prosecutions in past such cases (e.g., the acquittals of Dale Akiki and the McMartin Preschool Case). About 10 years ago, I met with retired officials from a California county DA office and CPS office. They both said: ‘No one [in CPS, LE, the DA’s office] is going to touch these cases, they have been too badly burned’.”
Of course, the “burning” was itself thanks to the media and the False Memory Syndrome Foundation’s quick action to persuade the public that the McMartin school episode was false – though it wasn’t.
Ellen also said:
“Family courts generally dismiss most allegations of any kind of child abuse or domestic violence. They tend to view abuse allegations as fabrications, simply as weapons to gain advantage in the custody battle. If child abuse is substantiated, e.g., medical findings of genital injury, the court may be largely dismissive of the possibility that the abuse was perpetrated by a parent. When the evidence identifies a parent as the abuser, e.g., by a neutral witness to the abuse, a semen sample, the Family Court tends to downplay the traumatic impact of child abuse. It has a strong bias that children need both parents, that parents, even children, should forgive the abuser, move on, etc.” [Emphasis added]

If by any chance he is right, could this explain how most of the CPS bosses and judges (in at least all the English-speaking countries) have, in the last generation, gone into a state of lost powers of reasoning?
Brain-wise there is probably a mechanism for turning off the powers of reasoning.
