Where Do I Stand on Assange’s Extradition to the Great Republic?

Parliament passed a motion yesterday, saying Assange should be returned to Oz. The vote was 86 Yes, 42 No.  Amdrew Wilkie, MP was the ringleader. Barnaby Joyce abstained from voting.

Apparently the London Home Secretary will make the decision. Do you recall when the Home Secretary (Jack Straw) decided that Augusto Pinochet need not be sent to Spain, per extradition, as he was too old or infirm to cope?

Human Rights Watch wrote:

“The House of Lords, in its second decision on March 24, 1999, ruled that the only crimes for which General Pinochet could be extradited were torture and conspiracy to torture after December 8, 1988, when the U.N. torture convention took effect in the U.K. Magistrate Bartle specifically ruled, however, that Pinochet’s conduct before 1988—which would include the creation of the secret police and the establishment of Operation Condor targeting Pinochet’s opponents abroad—could be examined by the Spanish courts in proving the existence of a conspiracy which continued after December 1988. This ruling is in line with the language of the House of Lords decision.”

In other words, Pinochet got off, despite a court (House of Lords) saying it was legal to extradite him.

I entitled this article “Where Do I Stand” meaning “What Does My Americanism Think Should Be Done?”

Here at Gumshoe, I have always mocked those who say the US would mistreat him. We have a great system of justice in the Great Republic. Really, it’s flawless — if there weren’t a bunch of criminals (e.g., Merrick Garland) running it.

I suspect that all the lengthy delays in getting Assange to travel across the pond reflect a desire by the Powerful to NOT let him into the US, as his criminal charges would not hold up for a minute here.

The charges are for several counts of espionage and one count of messing with a computer. The original downloading of the classified documents was done by a Privet in the army, named Bradlee Manning, later Chelsea Manning. She was tried and convicted and served 7 years (I think) in jail, but her sentence was then commuted by Obama.

There will be no way for a foreigner, namely Julian Assange, citizen of Australia (born in Townsville!) to be found guilty of espionage.  It would open up the whole subject of extra-territorial jurisdiction. God knows, the US government would not relish that. It would suggest that every country and its dog could bring charges against Americans.

It would also bring Abu Ghraib into the forefront again. You may recall that the late US Sen Diane Feinstein “led” the Senate report on torture, taking 12 years to present the findings, which then got back-burner’d.

By allowing evidence of conduct that occurred before 1988, Bartle’s ruling clearly permits the Spanish prosecutors to prove that General Pinochet built a state apparatus that relied on torture and that he was fully aware that torture was practiced systematically.”

Wow. Can’t have that!

On the subject of the US, or the cabal, wanting to keep Julian out of sight, recall that the cabal must have been behind the cooked-up sex charges against him in Sweden. Likely the cabal also oversaw the hospitality of the Ecuadorian embassy in London.

Stella Assange claims in the above interview that Mike Pompeo, a member of the Trump Cabinet, was planning to assassinate her husband. This too is quite a reason for the US to wish Julian would go back to Oz, so we don’t have to deal with the Mary Maxwells of this world making a federal case out of Pompeo’s sins.

          I linked to another site a while ago showing how many attendees had had sudden unexpected deaths after Bilderberg meetings. It’s more rough and tumble than is made out to be.
          So anyway, General Gul claimed to have died of stroke 15 August 2015 (aged 78).
          Separately, I should add that “-ski” is just a little pet name extension MM likes to add onto things from time to time, it’s a throwback to the 70’s or whatever, and I thought the nickname botski was pretty funny actually, it’s not something that should have been taken offence at, leading to further dramas. The inference I take from “Gumshoe” is mainly finding and presenting decent evidence, not a Judge Judy type of show.     • Yeah that’s a good thorough perspective on 2001, I confess to being one of those who went and saw it repeatedly through my early teens and including a couple of times later since TV’s went widescreen I probably saw it ten times.
      I hasten to add that with any other film usually once was enough, occasionally twice.
      As far as combining religions with pre-religion and so forth the reviewer failed to mention the spaceship was designed to look like a giant mechanical sperm going towards an ( planetary ) egg which ties into the foetus-dude at the end being carried out to the starts somewhere. Too bad he could not get Saturn and it might have been a darker but even more sensational film.
      Too bad the ending to Eyes Wide Shut is still not public but all the stuff “they” do to the kids is the most taboo open secret of all, and often results in termination for the publicists. As Kubrick was from America can we say he was 90% likely to be Ashkenazim not Hebrew ? All this good-jew-bad-jew stuff is just about unfathomable. Where did Kubrick get his start-up capital ?       They say Kubrick had a strong mistrust of doctors and medicine. A doctor was the lead character in Eyes Wide Shut ( Tom Cruise, at that time married to Nicole Kidman ). Kubrick showed the finished film to the cast and ended up dead a few days later, after which the “epilogue” was chopped off, and a few other bits and pieces.

    • This site has become an echo chamber about obvious wrongs done to us all, and which is so easy to follow as to the harm produced overall because it has become so obvious, especially with the recent exposures and occurrences of the past five years, and that are now slowly becoming ‘main stream’, but no one, on this site it seems, is willing to disengage from, in what has now become distractions to the coming main event, while even fewer consider that what they continue to engage in, is simply nibbling at the much bigger picture because their continuing engagement with the wrongs of the past, have now become distractions to them, and from which they just cannot seem to disengage from.

      Ned – this world is very close to the main event that will, hopefully, alter their thinking. We will have to await that out, so as gauge the end result from what every one of us will have to endure.

      I cannot continue to bang my head against the brick wall of this echo chamber in an attempt to wake folks up – so I will take my leave for the time being because I have had enough of the mockery, the ridicule, the accusations, and the outright disinformation being peddled on this site.

        I recall as a kid watching a post war movietone news snippet reporting the ‘Phoney War’ in England. Film of the English on the beaches etc….. as though nothing was happening whilst the Polish horse cavalry charged Nazi tanks across flat landscapes.
