Australia has been stuck with Andrew Hauser from the pommy central bank BoE, he was made deputy a while ago so he is telling Michelle Bullock what to do. 10 year Treasury bond rate is just over 4%, Trump wants 1%. These things are never intended to be paid off since as written above the money is printed for nothing. They just want interest to cover the possibility of a default. They can raise the rate by sabotaging the credit rating and crash the whole system then Trump will have to go to stable coins which they are working on.
