“The way things are supposed to work is that we’re supposed to know virtually everything about what they [the government] do: that’s why they’re called public servants. They’re supposed to know virtually nothing about what we do: that’s why we’re called private individuals.” Glenn Greenwald.
So who will watch those that watch us? Thus guy?
And this from INFOWARS:
“The U.S. government kills people based on metadata.” Former head of the NSA Michael Hayden
Myself (MICHAEL KRIEGER | LIBERTY BLITZKRIEG) and countless others have been warning for many years that the “war on terror” is a complete and total sham. A power grab used by governments to further consolidate power and control over the masses that reside within their borders. Slowly but surely, we have all realized that none of the spying is actually about stopping terror attacks. For example, a White House panel concluded late last year that the NSA’s unconstitutional metadata collection had not stopped a single terror attack. Yes that’s right, ZERO.
AND
On Wednesday, Mr Abbott said the government’s plan to make telecommunications companies store users’ metadata for two years could be used to fight “general” crimes and not just in terror cases. In a subsequent interview on Wednesday, Mr Abbott stressed that the government was not seeking to view content but only metadata.
Mr Abbott has said that the proposals were ”absolutely critical” for agencies fighting terrorism but also said the data would be used ”in crime fighting more generally”.
The principal question to ask is: Can this scooping up of data fight the crimes of government and global corporations?
No it will be pointed downwards – to the little guy.
