A 19-year-old college student makes an offensive remark. He declines a job interview and tells the company he does not want to work for a Jew.

Within forty-eight hours, the machinery of modern influence swung into action. The founder of one of the world’s most powerful technology companies publicly demanded that the student’s identity be revealed. The company complied. Major media organizations amplified the story, and now they plan to make him forever unemployable.

What makes the episode contentious is the inconsistency. The great danger is the emergence of a culture in which the powerful can collectively render a person untouchable forever – whilst other crimes — like killing children — go rewarded.

    • It is a common truth that some parents have and will disinherited their child because their child fell in love with a person not of the parents religion or beliefs.
      Bet some would not like that bigotry or prejudice published for nosy people to vilify the parents.
      I know of a DC judge who disinherited his daughter for such a reason.
