So today a video by Professor Jiang Xueqin, a Chinese-Canadian school teacher in Beijing. He has become a YouTube sensation for predicting in 2024 Trump becoming president and going to war in Iran using game theory, selective historical analogies and speculative reasoning.

He posted this video a few hours ago.

He talks about how the US lost every (Pentagon) War Game scenario with Iran and covers US’s options — as there is no way out. Once you start hammering the nail, you gotta keep hammering.

        Tolstoy set up his own schooling system (for a time) – not without its merits and not without its faults. He challenged the mainstream (government) education system but I sensed, given his other extremes and ‘mood swings’ throughout his life, approached this as much out of nihilism as altruism.

        You still need a structured curriculum, especially in the physical sciences, and even in the more subjective humanities there are only so many books that can be read and discussed. History itself as taught by court historians and tenured academics definitely needs to be challenged – in fact rewritten.
