Dutch Journalist Karel van Wolferen Lets Us All Out of (Mental) Prison

I often write that our institutions have unraveled, or are rapidly unraveling. I generally feel awkward and even guilty for retailing that bad news, but fortunately someone — Karel van Wolferen — has given me new insight, this week, into what is going on, and I’ll share it below.

I and many colleagues have become “conspiracy theorists.” We theorize that a few humans, being unconstrained by conscience, set up a World Government and over a long period of time – more than a century, grabbed control of national governments, militaries, judiciaries, and even civil society with its cultural organizations and its religions.

Some of that is ordinary history; it’s open source, as they say. For example, the oil wealth of John D Rockefeller, and the auto-manufacturing wealth of Henry Ford, allowed them to establish the Rockefeller and Ford Foundations. Then, by bribing legislators, they got tax benefits that helped those foundations replace what was formerly altruistic habits of communities.

Wealth if allowed to accumulate to an extreme degree will naturally upset society’s balance. And we now know it lets bankers design wars in their boardrooms.

But which of us predicted, say, thirty years ago, that the concentration of control would become so great as to permit the top few to “create nonsense realites” that folks would accept as real?

Consider the Insights of Karel van Wolferen

Now comes Karel van Wolferen, whose essay I happened to see on the website juscogens.org which is hosted by Elias Davidsson. This has made me feel that there is a new way to nudge the public into seeing what is happening and to lessen their fear and denial.

Believe it or not, it has to do with a statement by Karl Rove that was reported in 2004. You could say it is the leak of the century! Rove was White House Deputy Chief of Staff for President George W Bush at the time.

Karl Rove asserted that that “discernible reality” (you know, grass is green, 2 plus 2 equals 4) is no longer the way in which the world works! He said to journalist Ron Suskind (as quoted in NY Times Magazine, Oct 17, 2004):

“We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality … we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors … and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.” [Emphasis added]

Well, son of a gun, that’s beautiful! The dingbats at the top “will create new realities.” I mean I’m happy to learn of this, as I hope I can use it to show innocent citizens why they are having trouble keeping competing realities straight. It’s intentional nonsense, meant to control us by mucking up our logical minds and even change our perceptions.

Is that chutzpah city or what!

I will now list ten gems from the January 23, 2017 article by Dutch critic Karel van Wolferen that Is printed at juscogens.org. It is entitled “Karl Rove’s Prophecy.”  All headings and boldings are mine, and I’ve abridged and slightly altered the order in which van Wolferen spat this out. Remarks in square brackets, are, of course, mine.

Ten Gems

  1. LOYALTY

Today greater loyalty to the reality created in Washington and Langley cannot be imagined. For much of northern Europe the official story that originates in the United States is amplified by the BBC and other once-reliable purveyors of news and opinion like the Guardian, the Financial Times and the (always less reliable) Economist.

Repetition lends an ever greater aura of truth to the nonsense that is relentlessly repeated. Detailed analyses of developments understood through strings of false clues give the fictions ever more weight in learned heads and debates in parliament. At the time of writing, the grave concern spread across the opinion pages is about how Putin’s meddling in upcoming European elections can be prevented.

[Isn’t that perfect? Note: Van Wolferen is writing from the Netherlands]

  1. THE CRASH OF FLIGHT MH17

Layers upon layers of anti-Russian propaganda have piled up to bamboozle a largely unsuspecting public. Putin was held personally responsible in much of the media for the shooting down of a Malaysian plane, which killed 298 people. No serious investigation was undertaken.

The presentation of clues under Dutch leadership has neither included clues supplied by jet fighter cannon holes in the wrecked fuselage nor eyewitness stories, which would make the government in Kiev [Ukraine] the prime suspect. Moscow’s challenging the integrity of the investigation was met with great indignation by the Dutch Foreign and Prime Ministers

  1. LOSS OF ACCOUNTABILITY AND “VENERATION” OF CIA SECRECY

Architects of an official reality that diverges widely from the facts you thought you knew must rely on faits accompli they achieve through military or police violence and intimidation, in combination with a fitting interpretation — or a news blackout –delivered by mainstream media.

These conditions have been widely obtained in the Atlantic basin through a gradual loss of political accountability at top levels, and through government agencies protected by venerated secrecy that are allowed to live lives of their own. [Holy wow.]

  1. CURTAILING YOUR MIND

There has been a chain of realities as prophesied by Karl Rove, enhanced by terrorist attacks — which may or may not have been the work of actual terrorists, but whose reality is not questioned without risking one’s reputation. The geo-political picture that they have helped build in most minds appears fairly consistent if one can keep one’s curiosity on a leash and one’s sense of contradiction sufficiently blunt.

The details of the official reality are filled in and smoothed out in the PR world, with assistance from think tanks and academia. But the question does reappear in one’s thoughts: Do the politically prominent and the well-positioned editors, especially those known for having once possessed skeptical minds, actually believe it all?

[I’ll have to say I ponder that a lot! They always discuss the nonsense with such a straight face, never stammering or blushing.]

  1. SELF-CENSORSHIP

A disadvantage of being part of the elite is that you must stick to the accepted story. If you deviate from it, and have your thoughts run rather far from it, which is quite inevitable once you begin your deviation, you can no longer be trusted by those around you. If you are a journalist and depend for your income on a mainstream newspaper or a TV company, you run the risk of losing your job if you do not engage in self-censorship.

Consequently, publications that used to be rightly known as quality newspapers have turned into unreadable rags. The newspaper that was my employer for a couple of decades used to be edited on the premise that its correspondents rather than authorities were always correct in what they were saying.

[And now a quote from Van Wolferen on a topic that exercises GumshoeNews  editor, Dee McLachlan, on a regular basis]:

  1. SYRIA

As the fighting in Syria reached a phase when contradictions in the official Washington/NATO story demanded a stepping back for a fresh look, editors were forced into contortions to make sure that the baddies stayed bad, and that no matter how cruel and murderously they went about their occupation in Aleppo and elsewhere, the jihadi groups fighting to overthrow the secular Assad government in Damascus remained strictly labeled as moderate dissidents, worthy of Western support.

7. WE CONSPIRACY JOURNALISTS FEEL GUILTY

How could Rove’s predictions so totally materialize? There’s a simple answer: ‘they’ got away with momentous lies at an early stage. The more authorities lie successfully the more they are likely to lie again in a big way to serve the purposes of earlier lies. The ‘they’ stands for a hydra-headed entity, whose coordination depends on the project, campaign, mission, or operation at hand.

Those with much power got away with excessive extra-legal use of it since [2001] because systems of holding the powerful to account have crumbled on both sides of the Atlantic. Hence, potential opposition to what the reality architects were doing dwindled to almost nothing. At the same time, people whose job or personal inclination leads them to ferret out truth were made to feel guilty for pursuing it. It begins with the triggering of odd feelings of guilt.

At least that is how I remember it. Living in Tokyo, I had just read Mark Lane’s Rush to Judgment, demolishing the Warren Report on the murder of John F. Kennedy, when I became aware that I had begun to belong to an undesirable category of people who were taking the existence of conspiracies seriously.

8. TAMING THE GUILT, THE WONG WAY

We have experienced massive systemic intimidation since 9/11. For the wider public we have the absurdities of airport security – initially evidenced by mountains of nail-clippers – reminding everyone of the arbitrary coercive potential that rests with the authorities. Every time people are made to take off their belts and shoes – to stick only to the least inane instances – they are reminded: yes, we can do this to you!

Half of Boston, or all of France, can be placed under undeclared martial law to tell people: yes, we have you under full control! For journalists, unexamined guilt feelings still play a major role. The serious ones feel guilty for wanting to ask disturbing questions. But there is a confused interaction with another guilty feeling of not having pursued unanswered questions. Its remedy appears to be a doubling down on the official story. Why throw in fairly common lines like “I have no time for truthers” unless you feel that this is where the shoe pinches?

9. AL-SUQAMI’S PASSPORT AND TAMERLAN’S DIPLOMA

The triumph of political untruth has brought into being a vast system of political intimidation. Remember that the intimidator does not really care if you believe or not, but impresses you with the fact that you have no choice. That is the essence of the exercise of brute power. With false flag events the circumstantial evidence sometimes appears quite transparently false and, indeed could be interpreted as having been purposeful.

Consider the finding of passports or identity papers accidentally left by terrorists, or [these men] almost always having been known to, and suspected by, the police. And their deaths through police shooting before they can be interrogated. Follow-up questions once considered perfectly normal and necessary by news media editors are conspicuous by their absence.

10. TRUMP

A question that will be in the minds of perhaps many as they consider the newly sworn in president of the United States, who like John F. Kennedy appears to have understood that “Intelligence” leads a dangerously uncontrolled life of its own: At what point will he give in to the powers of an invisible government, as he is made to reckon that he also has no choice?

Why Mary Maxwell Is Happy about This-All

Until today I had no idea that someone from the White House — Karl Rove — had been so foolish as tell it like it is. I’ll paraphrase him:

“Hey Stupid people, we are so powerful that we can tell you absurd stories. You will waste time trying to chase after these to criticize them, which is exactly what we want. Look at dumbo Mary Maxwell at Gumshoe News, just to name one person who wastes all her time criticizing what a judge said in Boston or Tasmania. That judge did as we instructed, There’s no point showing how it deviates from judicial procedure – that deviation is the plan, Stan. We create “new realities,” get it?

I am extremely pleased to have Karel van Wolferen’s ponderings on how this all works, as I’m sure it can nudge many people from their state of fear over to a much more useful state of anger, disgust, and self-confidence.  Yay!

  1. Alex Jones has been banging on about that Karl Rove quote for years! AJ actually saw Rove on a flight after & confronted him about it & filmed it.

  2. With a recent comment by Stephen Hawkins, that “physics having replaced philosophy” I am not suggesting this eminent scientist is now becoming senile or having this condition now for some time, nevertheless I think fair comment is to say He either has exalted physics to a religious platform, the news such as gravitational waves are inconsistent and light bends under certain circumstances, are to me interesting I am saying how does latest physics effects my circumstance as a individual living now on this planet?
My problem at present is existential, living here in Australia, having been reported by a neighbor to authorities for a building a outside the rules of 4 metres of shed space, now as a home owner being evicted from my own home?
I having looked up the square millage of Australia, is of great and awesome and substantial in size, how is it possible one of the most recent created modern societies now reduced to such petty bureaucratic institutes becoming a type of fascist organizations?
Here we return to philosophic inquiry of a simple equation of the rich becoming richer and most of the substantial individuals becoming poorer, only elites such as Hawkins, can attempt to placate the masses with concerns of outer space? whilst back at the camp many having existential crises of existence here on Earth are not concerned with time, space that are concepts beyond the ability of our minds to comprehend as a result of the limits of our brain restrained by control and regulations imposed by a highly organized bureaucracy to control all human endeavor other than collaborate as becoming to a cruel and criminal activity endorsed by a elite that are depraved having weaved its tentacles in all aspects of the human condition.

    • John 14:2. In My Father’s house there are many mansions. And if not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?

Don, as far as I know you cannot be evicted from a home you own.

In our backyard in Adelaide, my spouse did a lot of weeding and pruning and wanted to burn off the big pile of branches (in the days when you could light a fire, maybe 1994). But it rained for weeks, so the pile was too wet to burn. Finally enough sunshine, and he lit the fire. The nasty neighbor called the Council because George forgot to wait til 10am (regulationwise). It was 9.45. The Councilman told George to hose the fire down. When we thought of it afterwards, we should have just kept the guy in conversation til 10am.

Has this got something to do with. Karel’s article at http://www.juscogens.org?

      • Don’t pay your rates/rent for 3 years and the local government has an auction sale.So who owns your house? Buy a car and it must be regi (king)- stered. So who owns your car?

  3. If AJ is “banging on” about it, Richard, could it be that AJ wants to AMPLIFY Rove’s message? I am thinking of Martin Seligman’s experiments with dogs that end up with “learned helplessness.” I have only seen a tidbit of Infowars show, such as the “photos” of plastic coffins made by FEMA to house us all for eternity, but I don’t recall AJ ever suggesting what to do about it.

Sorry if I am way over the top on this.

Does AJ say where he gets his budget to hire helpers? If Gumshoe could hire a helper to do some marketing of our articles, that would be great.

Here, for example, is the excellent new “movie” on Port Arthur made by Gumshoe. (The Youtube channel of Gumshoe is called FlipsideNews.) It has had only 87 hits. We welcome AJ to play it on Infowars where tens of thousands will see it.

    • I have watched a lot of AJ in the past — I mean he’s on the air for hours and hours a week. I have been told that he “works” for the controllers. But the way he talks so passionately about certain things, makes me think his heart is in the right place. Many of the young people working for him now seem very genuine. of course everyone’s agenda is not the same and we don’t all have the same world view. But I’d say beware of the “DOUBLE or TRIPLE BLUFF” — that tries and disintegrate those marching towards a more honest society and government.
You can bet a billion dollars that the “powers that be” are daily trying trying to discredit one group against the other — to keep all the alternative media from cohesion. Of course it is natural — if we don’t have the facts — that different versions will arise, and maybe a large organisation like Infowars is now will be fed information to direct distraction — but thats the idea… it is a war to compete with their ability to distract.

      • Nothing new on the distraction scene.
There was the colliseum, now we have the footy, similars events, quizz shows and the latest, before the police shows, the renovator’s special and house hunting…….. all over the world.
All from the comfort of a couch with a pissa (sp) to satistfy.
Have I missed question time in Parliament in the comedy program?
House prices in Brittany seem attractive……. but about 5 years past.

      • The Martin Bryant report is excellent Dee.
The spells over our society, significantly the “Port Arthur Massacre” variety for Australians, are so brilliantly and deeply entrenched, wrapped in the fear of social ostracism, the likely impact on any persons social and economic standing and prospects guarantees the topic is shunned and ignored.
Like the “Holocaust” fables, it must be dished up in a carefully prepared smorgasbord of information and explanation of our fully dynamic political condition.
Thirty years ago the money question was similarly toxic but that spell is now wearing thin as knowledge and interest in money creation now occasionally pushes into mainstream publication and the body of authoritative reference grows towards that tipping point of when approx 10% of a society accepts a long taboo truth and very quickly following the taboo/spell is totally broken.
Obviously the almost insane condition of our society is deeply frustrating, but the only option is to employ patient strategies that are sympathetic to the common locked and conditioned mindset.
The money trick deception is beginning to unravel, and that can be exploited as a tool to explain and argue the strategies and various agencies that participate and collaborate to sustain massive deceptions over Nations and across the whole world.
This article provides great conversation fodder to lead into many conspiracy topics.

    • 87 hits, Crikey, what an apathetic populace. I sent the video link to ‘What Really Happened’ and also ‘Rense’ – no response, no posting of the video. It also appears that the various people I sent the video link to couldn’t be bothered to send it on to other people. Probably scared of what other people might think or maybe the ‘Government’ would be watching them.

You would think that some person would post a link on some social media where it could get a bit more coverage and discussion. Nope, can’t be bothered, gotta work on my ‘selfies’. Besides, it is old news, I’m not the one in gaol, I don’t like guns, not my problem, yadda, yadda.

Is it apathy, cowardice, stupidity, brain washing???

You can ignore reality, but you can’t ignore the results of ignoring reality. Go ahead and turn a blind eye to the Government killing its own citizens in order to disarm them, just where do you think that apathetic behavior is going to lead to? Have you projected out into the future the probable results of your continued apathy?

As a former lawyer, the collapse of the Rule of Law is shocking to me. The apathy and denial within the actual legal system to the injustice of what happened to Martin Bryant is total – it is ACCEPTED. It’s the way the system works.

Put a fork in it, this is not going to end well…

      • Terry, yes. I too sent it off to a few people. Nothing.

It is so unbelievable to me. When I heard the ABC 7.30 Report the other night say that the JFK files will not really change the view that Oswald fired the weapon, I was truly in disbelief. These people are close to being in a coma when it comes to critical thinking. They are in a web — unable to extricate themselves from the original Operation Mockingbird. The controllers must be laughing their heads off at how truly dumb the sheeple have become… to be unable to review factual information.

The collapse of Rule of Law is astonishing. I was dreaming the other night of live streaming a series of citizen arrests… but we know who would land up in prison if that were done.

I will be posting a G5 article later, and then early in the week a “JFK for Dummies” that might prick ABC’s bubble. But I doubt they could be woken from their stupor.

        • Dee, I would be interested in what people thought of the video. Have you ever thought of having a private viewing of say a dozen people and have them write down their responses upon seeing the video?

I wonder what goes through their heads. Is it shock? Do they feel uncomfortable with the knowledge? Do they want to further investigate the issue? Would they be willing to forward on the video to their friends?

There must be some response, they just couldn’t sit there and be quiet, or could they?

I also sent the video to the SSAA (Sporting Shooters), again nothing. Perhaps the SSAA management would ignore it, but what about showing to a SSAA chapter so the members could see it. I wonder what a viewing before the Bar Association would result in, or a group of film makers or at a media conference.

I really would like to know where the ‘road block’ is when it comes to processing the information.

          • Well you could hardly expect anything but dead silence from the SSAA .

When I ventured to talk about Port Arthur at an SSAA-sponsored lever-action club back in 1999 I ran into a complete brick wall. Back then you’d occasionally come across an O K article in the bi-monthly mag but it was painfully obvious that the vast bulk of the members had no political spine.

Ditto experience re home-ed clubs re matters of respective pertinence: Can’t imagine that anything would have changed for the better in either arena.

          • So, as far as the ‘road block’ goes, all I would say is that the support I got for home-birthing & home-ed came from the most UNLIKELY places

  4. I suppose all you tin foil hat brigade, thinking Oswald did not do it and questioning the official government 911 conspiracy theory are holocaust deniers too.
Seriously, as regards building No 7, that is what an officer of the Supreme Court of NSW said to me in chambers in November 2009. (He being a fellow barrister, be it; young, gulliible and stupid)
    Australia: We have a problem!
The legal profession certainly has a problem.
The msm has a problem, it is called a lack of credibility…….. ‘fake’ is the short term.
Our politicians have a problem, it is called treason.

    • I forgot.
      The public have a problem.
Most find comfort (with msm journos) in self indulgent stupity and are so. ……. More free bread and gladiator entertainment please! I chose to be stupid, entertained and feel safe.

  5. The magicians (reality creators) need our consent otherwise the magic is considered black. And for that there are consequences. They believe that, hence the – fair warning – t-shirt. Of course the t-shirt pictures could be photoshopped, another form magic. Like magic wands which were once made of holly, the wood thereof. Controlled opposition is any easy trick used on the very low percentage of suspicious minds: we’re caught in a trap … as the song goes. Music being a favourite trick due to its effectiveness. America didn’t start the trickery it’s been going on for millenia. From even before the time the three Magi delivered the gold, frankinsence and myrrh. Which may or may not have happened 2,000 odd years ago: control the past and you control the future; control the present and you control the past, as George warned us.

  6. Re the view count for Gumshoe’s new .Port Arthur movie:

I retain proof of the gross falsification of another politically hot record.

It’s my understanding that the U Tube count system is rigged
