Education, Part 1: Tatu Vanhanen’s Theory of the Role of Intellectual Resources in Political Power

60
Tatu Vanhanen (1929-2015), Emeritus Professor of Political Science at University of Tampere, Finland

by Mary W Maxwell, LLB

Where are we headed?  It looks like a very small number of humans are able – or they think they will soon be able – to control all others!  This will be a very new twist for our species, especially as it is not nation-bound; it is global.

My area of study from 1976 to 2005, almost three decades, was sociobiology – the biological study of the social behavior of the species, Homo sapiens. This field of research is related to physical anthropology, genetics, psychology, and ethology.

In 1987, I trotted around Europe, with my husband, to interview persons in various disciplines who felt that the new science of sociobiology would change their field – economics, psychiatry, law, politics, etc. I compiled their ideas into an anthology, The Sociobiological Imagination (SUNY Press, 1990).

Tatu Vanhanen

It was a pleasure to meet Tatu Vanhanen in Finland. His lifework is contained in a 1979 monograph, Power and the Means of Power. He started it 1969, six years before Edward O Wilson published the defining textbook, Sociobiology: the New Synthesis, in 1975.

 From Vanhanen’s preface:

“It is a great relief to have finally completed this lonely work. I began to collect data [from 119 countries]…. What fascinated me was the uniformity of patterns I thought I perceived in the immense variety of power relations and in the different forms of the struggle for power.”

One of Tatu’s books

First, let me lay out his overall theory in simple terms:  One ruler may control a lot pf people, but we also find large societies in which the average person has some control over the ruler. Why is that so in Nation X, but not Nation Y? The difference is that people in Nation X have a reasonable amount of economic resources (say, by owning a farm) and some intellectual resources (typically via education).

I will compare that theory to others, below. Tatu appears to have it right. He did, however, acknowledge a problem regarding the Soviet Union – which was still intact when his 1979 book came out. There, the control from the top was very tight. This is predictable, owing to the lack of private wealth under communism, but universal education (i.e., a good spread of intellectual resources) should have tamed the ruler’s power somewhat.

Further Prediction

In 1979, at the time that Power and the Means of Power came out (Note: Tatu wrote other books, later), many countries were having an increase in political participation by the citizens. That is, democratization was all the go. Some nations in Asia and Africa had only recently got liberated from the colonial power. Per Vanhanen:

“If the past trends continue, the process of democratization is inevitable in the Third World countries… {Humans) invariably begin to demand more. They want more freedom and they want to share the spoils of power on more equal terms. They challenge the old power holders and institutions.

“Unforeseen social or technological innovations, the emergence of new effective power resources or the means of control or a considerable increase in developmental aid might change the trends.

“For these reasons, I must humbly admit that my predictions are at the mercy of an unforeseen future. Only time will tell.”

The Plandemic and “the Kulaks”

My reason for writing this article is to play with the idea of the changes that could soon come about. Will there be a Global Takeover?

Today there are many middle-class folks wielding their share of economic power. They may run a profitable business, or have money salted away in a bank. But their bank account can be vaporized by a political decision. Their business, as we saw in the Lockdown, can be terminated without so much as a by-your-leave.

What response can a person make to having his economic resources stripped away by the ruler?  The Kulaks found out in the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917 that their previous status and wealth did not help them.  Actually, it hindered them, as owning goods privately made them a target for moral righteousness under the communist ideology.

It is fair to say that their only hope of not being obliterated would have been to outgun the revolutionaries. In other words, if the controller stops playing fair, the underling has to try to demolish the controller.

What about Intellectual Resources?

To repeat, Vanhanen’s main thesis is that the spread of political power among the people – basically “democratization” – correlates with two statistics: the spreading out of economic resources, and the spreading around of intellectual resources.

In chapter 2, “Research Design,” he says:

“The year 1850 was selected as a starting point [of this statistical study] mainly because the revolution of 1848 signified a turning point in the political history of Europe.

In addition to the emergence of new social forces, the revolution carried forth the idea that liberal democracy was the only acceptable form of government.”

I definitely believe that the only thing that will save us from the macabre “takeover” that is currently on the drawing board, is a kind of human intelligence. Here let me wax sociobiological.  In all other animals the behavioral repertoire of the particular species is carried out repeatedly in every generation.

In H sapiens (see the name? wise man?) the repetition is not so predictable. You do many things differently than your grandparents did. And you can dream of changing the future. And you can try to set right what looks wrong in social relations and power plays.

Granted, some things are too genetically-based to change – mothers will continue to nurture their babies. (Oops, maybe not in South Australia…) Tribes will continue to distrust and maybe wantonly kill other tribes. Music is going to happen, whether it be only the beat of a drum or the singing of a chorus. But much can be changed.

At the moment there is no denying that the Vanhanen theory is not predictive. Until this year we have never thought of a political power that could be wielded globally.

Sure, the Roman empire did a pretty good job.   And the American empire is holding up. Chalmers Johnson points out in his 2009 book, The Sorrows of Empire, that the US has 850 military bases in the world. But that is not what Bill Gates has in mind. He has in mind the reduction of every one of the 7 billion people to a robotic type slave.

Only the use of brain power is going to stop this. And, as in all violent conflicts of history, the brain power may consist of strategizing a way to physically prevent the intended murderers from having their say.

Other Schools of Thought

At the beginning of his book, Power and the Means of Power, Professor Vanhanen took stock of numerous other theories of his generation, as to the mechanisms of political power.  I will supply just three:

“Daniel Lerner, in his 1958 book, The Passing of Traditional Societies, was one of the first to use statistical techniques in analyzing aspects of modernization. Using the Western model…it begins with urbanization, is followed by literacy and media participation, and finally is crowned by political participation. Using statistical data on 73 societies, he found that the results supported his hypothesis.”

“Ralf Dahrendorf thinks that conflict leads to democracy when the conflicting groups are allowed to organize themselves in defense of their interests and (when such) groups agree to share power. Totalitarian governments, however, try to suppress conflict by force and are unwilling to share power…. As a consequence, they are in danger of being violently overthrown.”

“Karl A. Wittfogel concentrated on Oriental despotism, an extremely harsh form of absolute power. Th state, through its managerial bureaucracy, controls the means of production, and most importantly the cultivatable land, and there are no independent or organized groups capable of checking the power of the ruling class.  And because the ruling class naturally tried to further its own interests and to satisfy its own needs, not the needs of the people, it had to use many forms of unpredictable terror to subjugate the people.”

Sentimental Comments

Tatu was the perfect gentleman. “Prof George Maxwell” and I had to walk down a long path in the woods of Tampere to get to the Vanhanen home. There, Mrs Vanhanen, Anni, produced a lovely meal. We two couples sat at the table for hours conversing – three of us being fluent in English, and Anni speaking only Finnish.

So how did that go? As George or I spoke, Tatu translated it for his wife, more or less under his breath, perfectly simultaneously.  When Anni was speaking, Tatu was doing the same job so we could hear her words in English. It was a memorable experience!

Much later, when I was in touch with Professor Vanhanen from Australia, he had to struggle to speak, due to Parkinson’s disease. I phoned him to express sympathy

for the fact that he had got very bad press for writing a book, co-authored by Richard Lynn, entitled IQ and Global Inequality.

That book noted that nations whose population has a lower IQ than another nation, will usually have less economic success. A perfect case of political incorrectness – not that the flack would put him off of telling it like he saw it.

Vanhanen died in 2015. I did not realize, when he was alive, but found out later – from Wikipedia! – that his son, Matti Vanhanen, had been prime minister of Finland from 2003 to 2010. (He is now Speaker of the House.)

A few days ago, when the postman – actually, postwoman – delivered the book to me, Power and the Means of Power, I was extremely touched to open it and read the dedication Tatu wrote in 1979. It says:

“To the memory of my father, who was a plowman.”

  1. Great Article Mary,
    I noted this from:
Ethnic Conflicts: Their Biological Roots in Ethnic Nepotism (Tatu Vanhanen)

“Their Biological Roots in Ethnic Nepotism Tatu Vanhanen turns his attention to this vital subject following his ground-breaking studies of democratisation and economic development. This is a replication on the global stage of his widely cited 1991 study of ethnic conflict in India. It is an evolutionary analysis that combines nuance and quantitative rigor. Vanhanen’s starting assumption, that all humans share a common human nature in which nepotism can extend to ethnic kin, is already far ahead of culture-based analyses. Marshalling data on 176 contemporary societies, Vanhanen finds that 66% of global variation in ethnic conflict is explained by heterogeneity….”

(Interesting — haven’t we been encouraged to be heterogeneous. Australia is now a melting pot of 140 cultures. Definition — Heterogeneity – state of consisting of dissimilar or diverse elements)

“There are many other causes of ethnic conflict but none as strong as ethnic diversity. Per capita income, level of human development, and level of democratization explain only between 6% and 16% of variation. Vanhanen concludes that because the predisposition to ethnic nepotism is engraved in the human genome, ethnic conflict will continue into the future.”

    Reviewers’ comments

“Tatu Vanhanen has written a brilliant exposition of the evolutionary psychology and biological roots of the universality of ethnic conflict”
Professor J.P. Rushton, University of Western Ontario

“This monograph is an important contribution to the study of ethnicity and nationalism. Its basis in universal human nature makes it an invaluable handbook for policy makers everywhere.”
Dr. Frank Salter, Visiting Scholar, Department of Government and International Relations, University of Sydney

  2. “In addition to the emergence of new social forces, the revolution carried forth the idea that liberal democracy was the only acceptable form of government.”

Aristotle described democracy as “a dictatorship of the ignorant”.

In my opinion it’s the perfect vehicle to ensure that a degenerate society gets the “government” it deserves… even much easier to manipulate than a degenerate aristocracy.

  3. Oriental despotism: there is more mind control entrenched here than you might think, at the lower end of the scale “face-saving” and related ideas (speak no evil etc) prohibit all types of critical thought, at the high end there is lese-majeste in all sorts of forms in the different places, secular and otherwise.
China is very observant at copying Japan and Thailand, give them a decade or two and Emperor Xi will be “heavenly perfumed most exalted god-king of the universe” or something like that.

    • I think you underestimate Chinaman.

Sure, there are many Chinese who turf out their native integrity for political and “economic” advantages but are we to assume that generations of “Western” Pharisees haven’t, and don’t, do the same for even more reprehensible ideological motives?

      • I am just suggesting soft power has for along time (or at least since Bhumipon Rama 9 in Thailand) been a big part of “oriental despotism”, maybe underestimated by people who were brought up on “fu manchu” etc.
I’m not thinking to compare or looking for equivalence with Western despots, that would be a project in itself

    • Xi Jinping – 19 March 2013, speaking to the BRICS countries’ media

“Reading is my biggest hobby. It’s a way of life for me. Reading all kinds of books, I guess, will be my hobby all my life.“

Xi Jinping – 4 May 2014, speaking at Peking University

“I’d go everywhere looking for books. One should be deeply ashamed of any gap in one’s knowledge. That was the basis of the demands I made on myself.”

Xi Jinping also mentions having read: the Dictionary of Idioms, the Xinmin Dictionary, A Concise Dictionary of Philosophy, Shakespeare, Das Kapital and literary classics – both Chinese and foreign, Goethe’s Faust, books on military strategy such as von Clausewitz’s On War (and I bet Sun Tsu)

“Later I started reading books on politics and philosophy. But books on history were my favourite.”

“I even read the Twenty Four Histories all the way through.“

Now to Mary’s article to fill in some of those gaps …

  4. Myriad writers of the 1950s, 60s, 70s, and 90s speculated on human potential versus the future and, in my opinion, all made the same errors.

First, they all presumed IQ tests are legitimate. They are not.

As the inventor of IQ tests, Alfred Binet pointed out, to Americans bent on using these to advance their eugenics and elitism ideologies, human intelligence is not linear and cannot be measured in a spectrum. One can measure absence of intelligence only, and even that is hopelessly subjective and relative. The Americans ignored him.

Second, they all presumed that the globalist presentation of democracy is legitimate. It is not. In fact it is the very opposite of genuine democracy.

Third, they all presumed that the archeology/anthropology understanding of the progression of human organisations is legitimate. It is not. Early humans were not cavemen. In fact, it would take an average of two weeks in any terrain, to run out of accessible hunter-gatherer targets for food. The entire concept of cavemen is nonsensical. So too, is the belief that they were grunting and brutal knuckle-draggers. All knowledge of ancient hunter-gatherers demonstrates that their societies were tribal, were non-hierarchical, and that decisions were made by absolute consensus… ergo, democracy (Australian Aborigines, Kalahari Bushmen, Inuit, etc).

Ludicrously, the scientists who studied these peoples (anthropologists) did not even learn their languages, which disqualifies any opinion they formed. In relevant point of fact, in 1992, a team of Austrian anthropologists spent 3 months studying Australian anthropology and concluded that all of these social scientists should be stripped of their degrees having breached the most basic ethics.

As to the “Mankind’s Progression to Civilization” we learn in schools, this history of wars, genocides, hegemony, slavery, torture, and rape on a global scale, should have served as a hint that the concept was downright silly.

In demonstrable point of fact, farming precipitated sale of surpluses, then subsequent seasons of crop failure which launched raids on the more fortunate, which promoted the emergence of weapons for killing man, both in defense and for aggression. Successful raiders and farmers soon learned to nurture new generations of warriors, and so monarchies were born and the wars of competition which flowed from this. Hierarchies generate corruption and the lust for evermore power and this was justified by new and convenient religions.

Personally, I tend to believe that this was a history we had to have in order to develop a technology that constituted a second phase in human evolution, but I don’t care if nobody agrees with me. It really does not matter.

What does matter is that this more logical ‘origins of man’ clearly refutes the good versus evil philosophy so beloved of Machiavelli. Man is neither good nor evil. He merely evolves and makes moves as these seem recommendable.

Meanwhile, our erstwhile social scientists like to believe that civilized man (ie the West) behaves logically and is guided by knowledge and evidence. In sad contrast, hunter-gatherers are guided by beliefs not anchored by evidence. What absolute crap.

We of the west, believe we live in democracies. Yet almost every element of the world we are aware of is an illusion. We have more wars than in any time in human history. All our governments are hopelessly corrupt. Our science is in the hands of psychopaths and fraudsters… consider: climate alarmism; vaccinations; chemical, nuclear and biological warfare; the vast cancer industry; the continuity of environmental destruction caused oil > chemicals > plastics > fertilisers; and associated broadacre farming and bioengineering.

Consider the toxicity of our food supplies. The rise in violent crime since 1958. The presentation of school teachers as noble and self-sacrificing while 40% of school children are functionally innumerate and illiterate.

Clearly, it is us who are bogged in a morass of insane belief systems.

Meanwhile, hunter-gatherers, who live with the ultimate reality, nature, have no time for beliefs which might conflict with reality.

Our social scientists are the high priests of the church of insanity. Amen.

    • “They all presumed IQ tests are legitimate. They are not.”
The original application was, in fact, limited to specific classroom tasks

“The entire concept of cavemen is nonsensical “
You only have to look at the depicted animal-hide attire; evidently dreamed up by someone who had no idea of the technological know-how needed to produce such an item.
Then there’s the aerodynamic finesse behind the “primitive” boomerang.
You could fill up a book, but that will do.

      • The one that probably caps them all is that there’s no such thing as a primitive language: Proof positive that Everyman bears a likeness to the Creator;small wonder the colonists tried to destroy so many tongues

    • Tony, you are bogged in a “morass of belief systems” that is irreconcilable with either the Darwinist or Christian view. If you are contending that Darwinism is the “path” which inevitably produced “Homo Sapiens” from some apeoid ancestor then our beloved Abos are but a completely redundant and disposable vestigial product of “Evolution”.

I will contend, however, that our dark skinned brothers and sisters are the descendants of fugitives or exiles from civilisation. Unless you subscribe to the fantastic conjectures of the likes of myriad conflicting versions of “primordial wisdom” then our Boongs are in a very precipitous state…

        • AiG and a few others are very interesting with lots of good information.

However, they invariably fail to connect the theology of the Trinity with tangible, physical, reality and its connection with God’s intention to give Himself to us miserable creatures.

I will contend that the “wedding feast at Cana” is the definitive where the Great Mother says “our time has come”. She does not say to the servants “do as I say” but She says “do whatever He tells you” and the jugs of water became the best quality wine.

It’s a despicable prick that doesn’t honour his mother. I contend that no one can pretend to honour Christ without honouring His Mother who is so only because She is entirely compliant with the Eternal Redemptive Plan… an incomprehensible act of generosity.

        • Gee you read some interesting stuff, berry.

“Similarly, when aborigines become Christians they must also separate themselves from any anti-God culture.” [I can feel a case for reparations coming on!]

I’d appreciate any comments or links on what the Tiwi Islanders have to say about The Great Flood which made them ‘islanders”.

        • More from your interesting linked article:

“There is a tremendous response from aboriginal students in schools when they are told of their rightful place in history; when they are shown that their own cultural legends indicate they have a common ancestry with Europeans in Noah and they are not primitive, lesser beings. Their culture has many stories about the creation of man after the animals and woman after man.

They need to be taught where the kangaroo, koala, platypus, goanna and emu came from (and evolution in general) – it was the Euphrates region and they were simply “scattered” – no ifs or buts.

The Lubavitcher Rebbe Discusses The Evolution of Species In The New World

          • Joolyers, the Rebbe does not even attempt to reconcile his version of Bibliography with observable reality. As far as I can determine the difference between Talmud and Koran is semantic… each requiring that observable reality must be ignored in favour of some ideology that gives the Jew or Muslim some “divine” right to own or exploit everyone else.

Anyhow, I’m tired. I spent an hour or more on a comment and it’s just vanished into cyberspace.

But all yous galahs that pin your self-adulatory religion on the premise that Nothing is relentlessly turning itself into Everything should flick through this lot for a simple, entertaining, almost daily commentary:
            https://crev.info/
Or for the more serious minded:
            https://www.trueorigin.org/camplist.php

          • Interesting language the Rebbe speaks. Yiddish has little connection to Hebrew or Aramic. Can you imagine Jesus teaching truth in this tongue?

        • Of course not, Nemesis. Even when I first heard of Rousseau’s perverse idea (about 60 years ago) I could well remember what “noble savages” we half feral brats of the Australian bush were.

I was very lucky (blessed) to be raised in a culture that minimally (at that time) recognised that reality is not a figment of imagination.

Every effect must have a cause. Anyone cut off from culture (by accident or intent) will degrade to brutes. The “noble savage” idea only appeals to narcissistic perverts who want to indulge their sexual or megalomaniac proclivities at the expense of others.

  5. “Only the use of brain power is going to stop this”

Sorry, but defeating the powers of darkness has NOTHING to do with intellectual prowess

      • truth is truth – but!
“powers of darkness” V “powers of lightness”

        its a hypothetical battle…

        no?

*where do we draw the line between the two?

        *hypothetical – no answer required

        • Hypothetical is a conjectured possible explanation for some observed phenomenon to be tested against known facts and by experiment.

*hypothetical – answer demanded! Either the hypothesis is impossible bull sh!t or it is a possible explanation for the observed phenomenon.

          • Sorry, Berry, but in the holy name of Gumshoe, I must say intellect does matter. We here at Gumshoe, including you, are busily engaged in trying to figure out — by activating the old cerebrum — how to deal with “the power of darkness.”

If we were all given a medication (and we soon may be !!) to stop the thinking process, we would not continue to write about Gumshovian matters.

          • My contention is that defeating the current world system is well beyond the capacity of human reasoning. There’s no dispute on my part that said mechanism is an invaluable alarm bell but that’s where it ends.

We also happen to be equipped with a highly refined nervous system that’s designed to alert us to bodily malfunctions but only a fool would construe such messages as a cure

          • berry – the dark side must work through the human medium to attain its goal through corruption of everything. What is Trump now achieving world wide? We are currently in the box seat to undo that which has governed this world for thousands of years.

God is within all of us who can accept God’s existence.

Have you not noticed what Communist governments do to ALL religions on gaining power?

Would that be the Devil’s bidding?

We have always held the upper hand intellectually, its just that we were taught to forget the real power that we have always possessed, and that lack of spiritual understanding has been used against us for such a long time.

  6. A small aside:

“But their bank account can be vaporized by a political decision” – and speaking of kulaks

China Seizes thousands of Bitcoin Bank Accounts

    https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/world-news/cryptocurrency/china-seizes-all-bitcoin-bank-accounts/

    The article reads:

“Do you really think they will allow people to have alternative accounts using cryptocurrencies when their objective is to force all money into the banking system with their Marxist agenda?

Any assumption that you have any rights whatsoever is wrong. You have nothing including property. It all belongs to the government in the depths of their mind. All they are looking for is the excuse to justify their actions. Politicians no longer represent the people. That is the first thing you need to understand.”

  7. Interesting webpage on national IQs. The map displaying national IQs is quite revealing.

    https://brainstats.com/average-iq-by-country.html

Of the various IQ tests, the most fair one is the ‘pattern recognition’ test. There is no cultural bias or use of language, it is simply being able to recognize the appropriate pattern given the clues.

Being able to recognize patterns is central to survival. – Some people keep making the same mistake over and over. Other people wake up, ‘Been here, done this’.

I’ve read that a society that allows its’ average IQ to drop below 90 is unlikely to succeed with a ‘democratic’ form of government.

    • Thank you, Terry. I see that US and UK both have an average IQ of 98, with 22 countries ranking above us.

South African IQ is 77. Hmm. I’d always wondered about Dee.

      • Remember that is AVERAGE IQ. Dee was likely above the average, however, it makes you wonder about the other half that is BELOW the average.

      • The Relevance of Intelligence
        https://fionabarnett.org/the-relevance-of-intelligence/

“Project MK-Ultra extended to Australia. For example, MK-Ultra sub-project No. 84 was conducted at Sydney University in 1960 under CIA Dr Martin Orne. The resultant research project was titled, Social Control in the Psychological Experiment: Antisocial Behaviour & Hypnosis.

When considering Project MK-Ultra, the experiments conducted in the USA and Australia, their subjects, and the project’s ultimate goal, the most important variable to understand and appreciate is INTELLIGENCE.”

I note Fiona never mentions Dax the Tavistock Institute——also Unilever’s role rarely recognised.

    • Oh, no, Terry! Mary will have to pen an entire article apologizing for your seditious use of the race-IQ map. It is absolutely verboten to even think of talking about such a thing unless you are proving just how lacking in redemption you are to our communist overlords. If people were to see it, they might just work out why africans are being emigrated into european nations and mexicans being imported into the United States.
They do not want The Kalergi Plan to be compromised, where negroid races must mix with european stock, to make a race that is intelligent enough to work, but not smart enough to work out what is really going on.
That’s also why us white races must stop having babies to save the environment, but we need immigration because low birth rates.
No mention of the fact that immigrating people from the third world increases their carbon footprint, and as we need to keep emission levels down to 2005 levels, that means we “more priviledged” people must reduce our emissions.
Which is why immigration (and antiracism) is the holy grail of the political correctness league.
      Yes, The Kalergi Plan…

    • Thank you Terry for directing us to the IQ chart. Mary, I think you are skating on thin ice in regard to Dee.

It is interesting that the countries with the highest levels of IQ are those of Asian nations who we are encouraged to despise.

It is no wonder that Australia is only mid stream on the chart. The garbage that is dished up by all media outlets (except public) and the TV industry in Australia, UK and US is a very good start to the declining intellectual situation. Add to that the declining standards of our educational institutes.

Some years ago when my brother and wife visited UK I jokingly said to one of their children, who was attending university at the time, “I wonder if they will notice the water going down the plug hole in the opposite direction?” She stood with a stupid grin and said, ” what do you mean?” She was doing a science based course at university, yet did not know a basic scientific fact that I had learnt in primary school while being taught about ocean current movements.

Essential watching if you missed it –a few people with very High IQ—who share their wisdom intelligently

Also I repost this– if nothing else watch the credits at the end–Intellectual Resources–Military Scientific Intelligence–leading to Ultimate Political Power Total Control over the masses through Global mind control.

Gateways to the Mind is about what the five senses are and how they work. It was produced and directed by Owen Crump. The screenplay was by Henry F. Greenberg, a television screenwriter who was active in the 1950s and 60s.

    Mass murder in Australia:
Tavistock’s Martin Bryant by Allen Douglas and Michael J. Sharp

    http://www.regainyourbrain.org/regain_articles/FINAL%20REGAIN%20UNLINKED/Z%20TAVISTOCK%20MARTIN%20BRYANT%20Douglas%20Sharp.htm

‘As an island-nation, Australia also offered a “controlled environment” for Tavistock’s experiments; in turn, the most isolated part of Australia, the island-state of Tasmania, off the continent’s southeastern tip, has served as the perfect Tavistock laboratory. And, Tavistock specifies that, because of the power of the modern mass media, no matter where a terrorist attack takes place, the shock is felt worldwide–it is a “global event.”

“Martin Bryant was monitored, directed, and, in all likelihood, programmed by Tavistock networks in Tasmania, from at least the time that one of Tavistock’s senior representatives in Australia, the now 88-year-old Dr. Eric Cunningham Dax, first examined Bryant in 1983-84, and set the parameters for all his future “treatment.”

“Dax was for decades an associate of Tavistock’s longtime leader and World Federation of Mental Health chairman, Dr. John Rawlings Rees. Beginning with his collaboration with Rees in the late 1930s, Dax, by his own account, had specialized in “brainwashing.” To cover its tracks, Tavistock invariably circulates what might be called the “Lee Harvey Oswald theory of mass murder”–that each such incident is the result of a “lone nut,” who one day just “went crazy.”
Such was the “finding” of Melbourne-based British forensic psychiatrist Dr. Paul Mullen, in his evaluation of Bryant for Bryant’s defense attorney, in which Mullen concluded, “It would be more satisfactory if one could point to some simple and direct cause of the tragedy at Port Arthur”; unfortunately, Mullen said, one could not.
But, notwithstanding that Bryant was a “lone nut,” Mullen confidently predicted to the {Herald Sun} of Feb. 4, 1997, that there would be “more such massacres because of strong evidence of a copycat element,” a warning echoed by other Tavistock assets in Australia and abroad. Curiously, Mullen himself reportedly participated in the investigation of two mass slaughters in New Zealand, before coming to Australia. The Bryant case provides some guidelines on how to rip up this Tavistock capability, before the next atrocity is unleashed”. –

“Shock troops of psychiatrists’ – In 1944, Bank of England chief Montagu Norman suddenly quit his banking post in order to start a Tavistock spin-off called the National Association for Mental Health. Norman had been at the apex of the international financial oligarchy: One of his proteges, longtime Australian Reserve Bank head H.C. “Nugget” Coombs, called him the “head of a secret international freemasonry of central bankers.”
As such, he had supervised the banking arrangements which put Adolf Hitler in power, as {EIR} History Editor Anton Chaitkin has documented. Norman tapped his Bank of England assistant, Sir Otto Niemeyer, to be the NAMH’s treasurer, and Niemeyer’s niece Mary Appleby, to be general secretary of the association. Niemeyer is well known to Australians: He headed the infamous “Niemeyer mission” to Depression-wracked Australia in 1930, to tell Australia to savagely cut its health and welfare spending, in order to pay her British creditors.
The British NAMH soon gave birth to the World Federation of Mental Health, one of the first of the innumerable, anti-nation-state “non-governmental organizations” spawned by Tavistock. Affiliated with the United Nations, the WFMH was one-worldist from the outset. To head up the new organization, Norman tapped Brig. Gen. John Rawlings Rees, the head of Tavistock in the 1930s, and then the chief of Britain’s World War II Psychological Warfare Directorate.
Rees had commanded 300, mostly Tavistock-trained Army psychiatrists; since then, Tavistock has been almost indistinguishable from the various wings of British Military Intelligence (MI-6, MI-5, SAS, etc.)–a connection perhaps of relevance to the military precision with which Bryant planned and executed his mass slaughter. At the war’s end, in a speech to U.S. Army psychiatrists in 1945, Rees called for the creation of “psychiatric shock troops,” who would move out of the military and psychiatric institutions, in order to shape society as a whole:
“If we propose to come out into the open and to attack the social and national problems of our day, then we must have shock troops and these cannot be provided by psychiatry based wholly in institutions.
We must have mobile teams of psychiatrists who are free to move around and make contact with the local situation in their particular area…. In every country, groups of psychiatrists linked to each other … [must begin] to move into the political and governmental field.” The “mission” Rees outlined, was to create a situation “where it is possible for people of every social group to have treatment when they need it, {even when they do not wish it}, without the necessity to invoke the law” (emphasis added).
Tavistock’s methods were outlined by Dr. William Sargant in his 1950s book, {The Battle for the Mind: A physiology of conversion and brain-washing.} A pioneer in the study of “shell shock,” Sargant also emphasized the work of Soviet psychologist Pavlov in the 1920s and 1930s, in particular an incident in which a rising flood trapped some of Pavlov’s dogs in their cages, while the water rose up to their heads, before receding. Pavlov found that the intense fear the dogs experienced “wiped clean” the tricks they had been taught, following which they could be “reprogrammed.” Further experiments by the SAS/SIS during the 1950s, including in Malaya and Kenya, showed Tavistock that such stress, with resultant “reprogramming” capabilities, could be applied to entire societies.”

    • Interesting Dianne. Some years ago I was being seen by a psychiatrist to be able to claim a pension from DVA, although the claim had very little to do with a mental problem. After several visits I asked if he would like to read the information I had put together re Port Arthur. He took it, after returning he said, “you know, Bryant was the killer. He was witnessed, I have a patient that I treat, who was taking cover under a table.” I thought to myself, how many other people were under the same table, now claiming PTSD because a psych, said they were a victim.

Of course at that time I did not know as much about Tavisstock and the “science” of psychiatry or their connection to each other.

  10. Have been listening to RN on and off this week— some interesting presentations- one about Antartica its history and the mega importance of this place at this moment in time. Just heard an expert say—there is now a new workforce–“new collar workers”–replacing blue collar/ white collar workers. New Collar workers will take up jobs interfacing with technology. Also heard The Epping Hospital is quite advanced in providing personalised treatment at home for those with mental illnesses such as anxiety, depression, self administered EMI 20 minutes twice a day.
Guess we will have a new title for news outlets needing to register as “NewNews Outlets” as against Fake news MSM News, Social Media News, Real News or even Gumshoe News.
Already started burning books–removing films, pulling down statues–all orchestrated.

Anyway something positive–well not really but good to hear from a local expert

Australia did ‘absolutely not’ have to lockdown

      • Even a person with average intelligence like myself, was able to recognise within a few days of announcement of the restrictions that this event was a scam. I had several debates with some of my associates, who I am sure, consider me to be a loose cannon.

And of course once the videos produced by doctors and virologists hit the internet I was vindicated, but I was still not believed.

    • A classic case of the blind leading the blind
And those concerned then trying to cover their arses by holding a lolly scramble

Time for some massive class-actions by those whose health or livelihood has been impacted

      • I agree, let those who have their businesses wiped out by this madness get some ‘pay-back’. Drag them through the courts, hold them up for ridicule in the press (not the MSM of course), destroy the forkers worse than they tried to destroy you.

And, if you can’t get redress through the establishment legal system, figure it out for yourselves.

        • So far as the latter goes I’d say the sky is the limit.

The inadequacy of authoritarian control is not only reflected in the current riots. Dinkum’s contention(2 posts back) that he’d be hounded for squatting in the country as opposed to joining ranks with a downtown favela also speaks volumes. You really don’t have to look very far to figure out that a faux sense of law & order is being maintained via busting vulnerable individuals for petty or non-existent offences, but that when it comes to mass disobedience both the will and means are altogether lacking.

  11. 2.28 “self administered EMI 20 minutes twice a day”.
think that should be–Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS)

  12. Why this is not mentioned in this article ?

Finnish Emeritus Professor Tatu Vanhanen already suggested in 2002 > 2006 that if the average IQ of a nation is less than 90, then such a nation will not be able to create a functioning society.

The low IQ of non-whites is genetic

Average IQ of White Americans is 100
Average IQ of black Americans is 84,36

In over 100 years, no black scientist has won a Nobel prize.

Top 10 African Countries (all blacks) With The Highest Average IQ

    Country – Average IQ
    Sierra Leone – 91
    Mauritius – 89
    Seychelles – 86
    Eritrea – 85
    – (BLACK AMERICANS 84,36)
    Morocco – 84
    Nigeria – 84
    Uganda – 84
    Algeria – 83
    Libya – 83
    Tunisia – 83

White People’s 100 is significantly more than 84,36, and terrible more than 83 !!

WHY IS THAT ? Let me explain…

Most people have NO IDEA of which human race was on planet Earth FIRST.

There shouldn’t be NO question about the relations between race and IQ. Ask your self “why we think that in other planets there is (and THERE IS) aliens with much higher IQ ?”

But why that would be ? “Because they are part possible millions, tens or even hundreds of million or more longer evolution then we are”.

YOU GOT IT, GREAT !! But what that has to do with races & IQ here in Earth ? Well, simply because different races have had different length evolution time.

Do you think that let’s say 200 thousand years advantage in evolution makes difference? Yes I also think it surely do.

Did you btw. knew that White Race have been on this planet Earth MORE than 200K before no other race got down from tree?

Well, NOW YOU KNOW, just watch the map and here’s the keyword: EL GRAECO

El Graeco Appears to be the Oldest Known Pre-Human in History, and it was NOT in Africa, but in Europe.

Those with lower IQ are whining that White People, White Supremacy is a bad thing, but it’s NOT, it’s JUST THE TRUTH !!
