The cry to vote YES — pulling on the heart strings of the people. (I think this was from the Herald Sun)

by Dee McLachlan

Yesterday Australia was dominated by the referendum. I lined up around midday and spoke to an elderly woman in from of me about the changing world. She spoke about the wonderful times as a child when her parents left Melbourne and traveled up to Shepparton by horse and cart. She did not look her 90 years.

Anyway, the vote was a resounding NO.

I live on the fringes of the city of Melbourne — which voted YES. So most of those people around me seemed confused as to why I was advocating No, except they know that I have a complete mistrust of the government. If they are pushing an agenda, you know they will be lying or hiding the real reason. And the government is clearly controlled by greater global forces above them. I mean, they’re planning to give Australia’s medical sovereignty away to the WHO; and plotting to suppress all alternative views on health through Misinformation legislation. Talk about silencing the VOICE OF THE PEOPLE!

So, I think the No vote stems from the general sentiment that people have become slightly less trusting of government. And as Albo did not really explain how The Voice was going to make a difference, most people saw this as just more bureaucracy.

I voted No for a multitude of reasons. I won’t bother going into the conspiracy of the UN land grab, etc., I’ll focus on two simple reasons:

1 – Where’s the Post Office?

I recently traveled by motorbike through the centre of Australia — on a 6,500 km round-trip. I ventured up the Oonadatta track to Mount Dare, into the Simpson desert for 160km, and then up to Alice Springs and across the Plenty Highway to Boulia in QLD before meandering back to Melbourne.

I was quite heavily loaded and wanted to post some of my winter wet-weather gear back to Melbourne. 220 km out of Alice in the centre of the Northern Territory, I arrived at the town of Atitjere. Although it has a population of only 250 people it services a big area around it. There’s only one store and I asked the locals if there was a post office. Nope. “Alice is your closest.” I think there was some kind of postal service — but even the isolated town, Maree in South Australia, has a full postal service in its local store.

With $33 to 40 billion going towards Aboriginal affairs each year, I would have imagined that an Australian Postal Service could have been budgeted for. But we know, much of the money doesn’t even get to Alice Springs. I believe it is a deliberate plan to keep the more isolated First Nation communities squeezed out of services (and the land).

2 – Stop Stealing Children

I found it quite sickening really listening to Albo and his gang promote The Voice — when I know they are funding and condoning the removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children at an astonishing rate.

I’ll repost the headline: Here is a typical report — A cry for the children. Vote YES for the children. Please!

Albo’s government wants you to vote YES, to form another “voice” to sway government to consider the First Nations people. Ironically, the government is presently funding the mass-removal of First Nations children living in Australia — Stolen Generation 2.0.

I have nearly completed my book on the child protection racket, but to give you an idea: in the Family Matters report, released by Secretariat of National Aboriginal and Islander Child Care (SNAICC), found 21,523 Indigenous children were in Out-of-Home Care as of June 30, 2020. This truly shocking statistic represents that one in every 15.6 First Nations children living in Australia was removed from home.

That’s 64 out of every 1,000 Indigenous children. (It may not be strictly comparable, but UNICEF data estimates only 1 child per 1,000 is in residential care worldwide.) This makes a mockery of the 2008 “sorry” apology to the Stolen Generations. The NSW FACS (the Department of Communities and Justice, DCJ) Annual Report 2019-2020 under the section: 2.6 ‘Children and families thrive’ states:

“During 2019–20, caseworkers brought 2,206 children into care… This included 952 Aboriginal children, an increase of 2.4 per cent as compared with 2018–19.”

The use of “thrive” is interesting! 952 Aboriginal children out of 2,206 were brought into care in one year? That’s 43% of children from only 3.4% of people in NSW who identified as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander in the 2021 Census.

Thus, are the anecdotal stories I have been told true? Pastor Paul Robert Burton has researched this for many years and has detailed how agencies have gone into Aboriginal communities to vacuum up 20 to 30 children over a long week-end as if they were on a self-endorsed quota system. Josephine Cashman writes about this too.

Give these people a VOICE … now.

I suggest that the government IMMEDIATELY initiate an INQUIRY and pursue CRIMINAL PROSECUTIONS for any persons or agencies that unwarrantedly or unlawfully removed Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children from their homes. Money should be funneled into supporting families (with playgrounds, community centres, football fields, and all sorts of family-orientated services) instead of incentivizing organizations and department budgets to REMOVE children and break up families.

I have already sent a report to the AFP (#132282) detailing how certain government agencies, public servants, and outside contractors are using the Children and Youth courts via secretive and deceptive practices, under the guise of child protection, to unwarrantedly and unlawfully ‘traffic’ children.

That would give First Nations children a VOICE.

  1. NPR (no less) reports:

“Early counting showed that 57% of voters opposed the Indigenous Voice. Australian Broadcasting Corp. projections found New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania and South Australia had rejected the amendment.

“The Voice needed majorities in each of at least four of the six states as well as a national majority for the referendum to pass.”

    — I gonna be happy to pay my 20-dollar fine. Thank you everyone for not falling for the Big Trick.

    • Indeed, I think you would be correct – the AEC was up to all kinds of tricks when voting began to increase its YES influence, like sending their reps into aged care facilities with their ‘how to vote, YES, pamphlets. Not to mention the blatant corporate monetary influence to the YES campaign, that, and among other occurrences too numerous to mention, made this referendum, one of the most rigged – but the most telling aspect of this rigged referendum, was that it wasn’t legal, as there was no royal assent for it to occur in the first place.

  2. “………..The Voice is undeniably a product of Globalist land acquisition by subterfuge.

Albanese was correct when he stated that, “It’s not my product,” and it is certainly not the product of any genuine council amongst Indigenous people. It was always “a product” produced by a corporate boardroom, a hostile-takeover attempt, a product of the Transnational Corporatocracy.

The UN Globalists are currently attempting to exploit the world’s Indigenous (in this instance, the “Australian Aborigine”) as “the heart of their Agenda 2030,” as “the fulcrum” for ushering in their new Technocratic New World Order — and they have just failed in Australia. The 2007 “United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP)” was weaponised for this very purpose. It was always fundamentally this — with all other concerns being but trivialities in contrast………….”

      • Bill will supply a bucket of virtual money, so be careful if you get between the gov and that bucket.

‘What is the Hawke Australia card?
History. The idea for the card was raised at the national Tax Summit in 1985 convened by the then Federal Labor government led by Bob Hawke. The card was to amalgamate other government identification systems and act against tax avoidance, and health and welfare fraud.’

They just can’t help themselves, and will not stop their child abusing(everything of value) ways, what scumbags. I think there may have been even more pushback this time around.

        Ever vigilance, salute.

        • Hawke was a Rhodes Scholar – the history of Cecil Rhodes and his ‘scholarships’ reads like the fore runner of the WEF.

Hawke introduced the Australia Act – an illegal and unlawful legislation that allowed successive state and federal governments, carte blanche to any future ‘legislation’ without the need for Royal Assent, effectively negating the Constitutional duties of all state Governors and the Governor-General.

A lot of Aussies are going to be very angry at how that, ‘larrikin, Hawkie’, sold us out for his thirty pieces of silver, when all his wrongdoings and criminality are finally revealed.

Most of those already executed were offered a deal in which they would provide a recorded confession of their crimes via analog and digital video and their death would be hidden from the public until some future time – that time is now fast approaching.

Trouble is how can they be verified?
I think I will accept that Bush senior was ….. injected with promise of a good funeral based on an analogue video of his admissions.
The notes contained in his funeral program by 4-5 recipients and the reaction of ……[Gs brother] Bush and his wife are very telling ….. SHOCK WRITTEN ON BOTH FACES.
Compare their reaction with the face of George Jnr.
As for Hilary being blaze’ when she appeared to read it, one might wonder if it was a real Hilary.
The videos of the casting reacting to their notes was a grand production. Not one was missed it appears and the disappointment by others was telling as a contrast.
Clearly not the usual mourning scenes at a normal, let alone a significant funeral.
We have to wait and see.
Btw, there are many theories regarding the contents of their envelopes.
One is: “they know everything, sorry”. Sgd ( George?)
Watching T at the funeral is up for interpretations.
Is there anyone here amongst the commentators who has not analysed this funeral and they reactions, let alone even know about it?
If so, where have you been? You are missing a great movie.
Poor ABC, SBS, MSM, WHAT WOULD THEY KNOW? SFA! For sure, for sure🙈

  3. this was what I observed on voting day and my rural town

a man rocked up to vote as a absentee voter, was told he either had to drive to suburbs to vote OR they could take his details, he would be marked as attending a voting centre but NOT actually allowed to vote 🧐
so he gave details and walked out.

when being given the ballot paper by the electrol workers, they tell you to put YES or no in the box. the yes was pronounced more louder. 😳

oh and if you make a mistake, no worries we can give you another form 🤨
I seen no bin or disposal fire to put those “mistakes” in.

To me this whole referendum has been dodgy and these 3 things just topped it off 🤪

I could not find one MP who could actually tell me what this Voice was actually going to do. Just touted their party written speech which I dont think they even understood
    What a rort!!!
All that money could have helped our failing health system ( oh I have a story there on waiting times) and helping those families displaced by the past few years crap

  4. The publisher has hit the target as if laser guided, the state has too much power and too little accountability, we saw it with the cops in Melbourne shooting rubber bullets and other antics they are hoping we all forget about. The government is always interfering with aborigines, they don’t like to see them in public places, the don’t give them suitable jobs or education, they don’t want to make the effort, the money is all hijacked along the way, it’s easier to abduct their children and fits in with the 200 year old doctrine of breeding them out.
As the aborigines themselves said, we have voices but you don’t have ears.
I know the feeling and I can confirm, the government ear is very, very hard to catch. The federal local member and senators are “not available”.

By the way ex-Premier McGollum finally woke up to the fact he was on the wrong side of history and had to sell his Rockingham beach pad, claimed to be moving to Fremantle, I think he may have bought two houses, one in Fremantle for tax purposes and the real one in Mt. Lawley, roller shutters, CCTV and all the trimmings.

    • What is the value of policies attempting to make aborigines extinct, can anyone from the government please explain, or is it just a WEF directive by now

  6. The futility of trying to change the world:
I’ve been watching one of these Nicholas Coppola productions where poor Nick is upstaged by all of his supporting actors. It’s called dog eats dog and it’s about losers who are empowered with cars and guns and sometimes money and their base instincts and psychological problems, just a rubbish movie really but a good reminder of immutable human nature.
It’s too B-grade to keep watching but a good reality check so I thought I would look up a philosophically deeper one so here it is specially dedicated to commenter nemisis who is in desperate need for a dose of actual reality after reading so much realrawnews, without further ado here it is, realactualreality :

      • This is the single best documentary of the whole scamdemic as observed by 10 year olds. Probably nobody else has bothered to document it accurately. If you are only interested in the blood-thieving Hollywood elites you can jump in about 1:10:00. Since I was not brainwashed from the start it was more interesting to observe the brainwashing as documented.

    • But it seems to me that all NO voters who think that the UN was the voice behind THE VOICE are being accused of being Neo-Nazis.

    • Good to see some of these mainstream senators are aware of the WEF / UN schemes though unfortunately the are too DUMB to understand the information is not made up by Qanon, it is presented by WEF and UN identities such as Gates in the first instance !!! !!! !!! Hey pastry-white senate payroll representative swill, what is the point of hanging back at the level of the stoopids when you are supposed to be showing some leadership. Get acquainted with the utterances of Klaus Swab and his buddy Yuval Harari and Bill Gates by watching bitchute, rumble , odysee etc and stop tuning in to the ABC-TV and SBS-TV who are propaganda outlets.
Look at the SBS now, government sold off 20%, I wonder to whom, and how the profits are divided ? Do all the profits from the advertising initiative go to the 20% of floated shares ? Is that why all the ads are for tormented bears, suffering schoolchildren and other heart-wrenching UN type charities ? We are all supposed to just deliver money direct to these fronts, $15 per month or whatever they are asking, that is how the dividend is delivered !!! !!! !!!
Grubby government money-laundering tricks expected as usual, they are experts in this second only to barefaced lying. What a scam government is.

  7. Thanks Dee, just sharing an email received today from a long term educator and colleague that relates to the topic and your eye witness account of your recent journey “back of Bourke.”

Part of my friends words, his work and lived experience: para phrased
“I realise that everyone is more than likely wanting to move on from the weekend event.
However I do want to share this final piece of my thoughts.
It is a work I started on not long after arriving out here (40 years ago) and is borne from my observations over time.”
He refers to poem he wrote and the impact of the
“Northern Territory Emergency Response or the Intervention which began in 2007 and continues to this day, despite what government might say.”

He shares some observations about his recent visit to Kiwirrkura.

“The reason I went there was for its 40th year anniversary, celebrating the beginning of its establishment as a community. Of course people had been living out there for millenia. And in fact in 1984 a group of nine people made contact with those who had been removed back in the 50s and 60s and had returned to their country in the early 1980s. Survivors of the 1984 group still live in Kiwirrkura.
However at Kiwirrkura the water is undrinkable because of its mineral content. This was realised only a few years ago. This situation has not changed. So for the past years the drinking water for the community comes in on a fortnightly truck in 10 litre casks. It is then distributed to each household. I witnessed this procedure while I was there. I have been to Kiwrrkura on several occasions lately and was aware of this situation.
However for the years prior to this solution the people of Kiwirrkura were unknowingly drinking this water. Some people equate the high levels of kidney disease to this fact.
It seems extraordinary to me that the might of both the Commonwealth and WA governments have been unable to resolve this issue.
The Purple House had to come up with its own solution so it could continue its remote dialysis out there, as dialysis depends on clean water.
And of course the deficit of resources and services to remote communities is simply a fact of life”

A couple of weeks ago I watched the first episode of SBS Rebel with a Cause-telling the life of Pat O’Shane and last night it was about Kath Walker Odgeroo Nunacaul ?

    • Apologies for length–in 2 bits
As a follow up to Dee’s article and my comment above—- I am sharing an unformatted section of the submission I submitted to the NT RC in 2016.
“Part 2. Additional Submission to Inquiry.
Supplementary Documents sent 9th November 2016 to support my initial Submission to the Royal Commission into the Protection and Detention of Children in the Northern Territory. Diane de Vere.
The evidence I present in this second part of my submission addresses the terms of reference in both the local Northern Territory context and the broader global context. This is because the policies, programs and systems imposed on disenfranchised and marginalized Aboriginal families living in the Northern Territory, are designed and driven by National and International social, political, economic, business interests and agendas, from afar.
      I refer to:

      1. The Prime Minister directions for this Inquiry to examine:
      • failings in the child protection and youth detention systems of the Government of the Northern Territory
      • the effectiveness of any oversight mechanisms and safeguards to ensure the treatment of detainees was appropriate;
      • cultural and management issues that may exist within the Northern Territory youth detention system;
      • whether the treatment of detainees breached laws or the detainees’ human rights;
      • whether more should have been done by the Government of the Northern Territory to take appropriate measures to prevent the re occurrence of inappropriate treatment.

The Royal Commission Terms of Reference
“failings in the child protection and youth detention systems of the Government of the Northern Territory during the period since the commencement of the Youth Justice Act of the Northern Territory” and will cover “the treatment… of children and young persons detained at youth detention facilities administered by the Government of the Northern Territory , including the Don Dale Youth Detention Centre in Darwin”. The Act commenced on 1 August 2006.

      The Intervention
I note that much of what I am submitting as evidence is prior to this date so I am focusing on the events leading up to John Howard’s 2007 fully orchestrated military style intervention. It provides some understanding why things are as they are now, and exposes the blatant misuse of power, the breaches of human rights and duty of care, and the role Canberra has played in supporting and condoning these actions.
“The Northern Territory National Emergency Response (also referred to as “the intervention”) was a package of changes to welfare provision, law enforcement, land tenure and other measures, introduced by the Australian federal government under John Howard in 2007 to address allegations of rampant child sexual abuse and neglect in Northern

Territory Aboriginal communities.[1] Operation Outreach, the intervention’s main logistical operation conducted by a force of 600 soldiers and detachments from the ADF (including NORFORCE) concluded on 21 October 2008.
[2] In the seven years since the initiation of the Emergency Response there has not been one prosecution for child abuse come from the exercise.
      [3]
See Attachment: Intervention Timeline Before and After 2007 . A timeline of selected people and events involved in the planned Northern Territory Intervention and the subsequent consequences for First Nations People across Australia.

Starting From John Herron’s- “the old shibboleths of self- determination”
are now recognized … and the next phase should be …”Giving Aboriginal people the opportunity for education and allowing them to integrate as part of a unified Australian society, rather than talk about self-determination. That has failed.” And Phillip Ruddock’s “I am not about separateness, I am about inclusiveness”

To. Four Corners Dondale Expose 2016 and the Prime Minister and Minister for Indigenous Affairs “staged” October 2016 visit to Ceduna SA trialing the cashless credit card to cope with “alcoholism” in the communities. Social Security Legislation Amendment (Debit Card Trial) Bill passed 2015
the treatment… of children and young persons detained at youth detention facilities –evidence of officers using military based torture and methods that cause permanent psychologogical damage cptsd
Tavistock’s methods were outlined by Dr. William Sargant in his 1950s book, The Battle for the Mind: A physiology of conversion and brainwashing.

The Tavistock Methods. See Attachments re Tavistock
Re: my earlier observation that the Dondale Detention Centre was using a US, Military MKULTRA style model to run the facility, I will provide some information and evidence about the secretive way our Governments, and the highly paid, politically selected senior executives, run the facilities, departments and organisations that are in question.
There is a long history of these orchestrated abuses of power, mismanaged resources, both human and fiscal, and the deliberate destruction of anything that succeeds.
As a survivor of mind control techniques that used torture and systematic abuse, dating back to my growing up in London during the second world war, I am very knowledgeable about trauma related disorders and the impact this has on the psyche. I have been involved in extensive research about organized mind control and I am currently working with Survivor groups around the world. I have in depth knowledge about the nature of the mind control experiments conducted by the Tavistock Institute’s “Psychological Warfare Department,” headed by Dr John Rawlings Rees.
I also have experience and documented records that show how Tavistock Nodes were established in Australia post WW2. In particular I am aware of the way Psychiatry, Education and Religion has been used to control and manipulate the policies and practices to suit the agendas of those holding the ultimate power.

This submission supports and gives voice to those at the grass roots, who have been “done to”, those who have been silenced, those who have been subjected to the tyranny of the dominant rule of colonization, crimes against humanity and genocidal practices carried out with impunity.

While we have yet another Royal Commission, as a result of the Four Corners Report, with its specific line of inquiry still to be determined, there are already “new” structures, policies and government departments already set up to provide “solutions” new “innovative” ways of working, again avoiding getting to the source of the problem. The “new” leaders have been selected and staff are going through “new” training. A pattern repeated over and over again, where those responsible are never held to account, and their misconduct is rewarded with apparent impunity, and guarantees of promotion.

As an example I cite from Alice Springs News: Oct 17th 2016.
Major reforms underway in youth justice, child protection
By KIERAN FINNANE “As the Royal Commission into Child Protection and Youth Detention in the Northern Territory proceeds, major reform of both systems is underway. Youth justice has been moved out of Corrections into the Department of Territory Families where it will be integrated with the full array of family and community services, including an overhauled child protection system. “Give us 12 months and you’ll see a completely different philosophy in this space of youth justice and child protection,” says Deputy CEO of Territory Families, Jeanette Kerr.”
“Corrections officers still working in juvenile detention centres will be transitioned out and replaced by youth justice officers and youth workers, recruited and trained by Territory Families. This should be accomplished within six months, perhaps a little longer, says Ms Kerr.”
Ms Kerr has taken leave from her position as Assistant Commissioner of Police to manage the operations side of Territory Families as the new agency is built. The CEO, Ken Davies, is responsible for overall strategy. He is also the lead CEO of a cluster of agencies, called Children and Families, that aligns Territory Families with Health, Education, Police, and Housing.”

Education: Alice Springs News re community hearings held at Yuendemu . “Education was a persistent theme. “Our young people are missing out on education.” Mr Hargraves said lack of it was “one of the biggest problems we see today … our kids are not taught like Kardiya”. When is that situation going to “level up”? he asked. “Probably in another 100,000 years!” “No education, health problems, no jobs” was Mr Robertson’s succinct list of the problems facing Yapa Many speakers referred to racial discrimination. When Harry Jakamarra Nelson called for all the government people, including Ministers, who knew what was happening in Don Dale and the Alice Springs juvenile detention centre to be “sacked or locked up in gaol”, Mr Hargraves chimed in: They should “face the consequences … If we did it, we know exactly what would happen!”

Control through Education: I name Ken Davies, John Elferink, Peter Chandler and Senator Nigel Scullion as just a few who need to be held to account and investigated as to their role in creating such unhealthy facilities, with selected staff using terror and fear as their modus operandi.. These criminal, inhumane and illegal practices have gone “unnoticed” and the blame is again deflected to those being violated. Again they are exempt, part of the cover ups, and carrying on with business as usual, despite a dismal performance record.

SMH Ministers deliberately kept in the dark on child abuse, royal commission told “The Royal Commission into children in detention has heard astounding evidence that senior Northern Territory public servants deliberately kept the minister “in the dark” over the number of children who were subjected to abuse.”

Some background re: the Tavistock Agenda and its relevance to this Inquiry and the Terms of Reference.
In 1921, in London, the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations was set up to study the ‘breaking point’ of humans. (Project Monarch: Nazi Mind Control by Ron Patton) In 1932, Kurt Lewin, a GermanJewish psychologist, became the director of the Tavistock Institute. He studied the use of terror to achieve mind control. (Cached
Tavistock Clinic studied shellshock (post-traumatic stress) in WWI later developing psychological warfare in 1922. Rather than helping traumatized soldiers, it calculated their breaking points. Tavistock shock doctrine now permeates global life.

Founder, John Rawlings Rees, claimed: “Public life, politics and industry should all … be within our sphere of influence…If we are to infiltrate the professional and social activities of other people I think we must imitate the Totalitarians and organize some kind of fifth column activity! We must aim to make it permeate every educational activity in our national life … We have made a useful attack upon a number of professions. The two easiest of them naturally are the teaching profession and the Church: the two most difficult are law and medicine.”
John Coleman first exposed their covert activities with his insider knowledge in The Tavistock Institute of Human Relations: Shaping the Moral, Spiritual, Cultural, Political, and Economic Decline of the United States of America
In 1946, the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations split off a policy- making “mother of all thinktanks,” publically claiming to research and direct groups and organizations while it continued massive covert operations in social engineering.

Australian Think Tanks and Mind Control in Education
[think-tanks, institutes, and other “nodes” (Tavistock’s term for its various allied centers of activity) in every part of the globe, dominating every key aspect of social policy].
“In Australasia the largest think tank is the Sydneybased Centre for Independent Studies (CIS), established in 1976. Although it claims to be independent the Centre is funded by businesses, and its work is shaped by its libertarian/laissez faire philosophy. It is, in its own words, committed to ‘an economy based on free and competitive markets’; and ‘individual liberty and choice’ including ‘the right to property’.
The Centre deals with ‘practical public policy issues’ as well as ‘more intellectual issues focusing on the way societies work and the importance of liberty in securing prosperity both economically and socially’. It publishes the work of various conservatives, including media baron Rupert Murdoch; economists such as Friedrich von Hayek (whom the Centre brought out to Australia in the 1970s) and Milton Friedman; Nick Greiner, a former premier of NSW, Gary Sturgess former DirectorGeneral of the NSW Cabinet Office under Greiner, and various think tank scholars from the US and the UK. It also distributes, in Australia, material from US and UK libertarian think tanks.

Another prominent Australian conservative think tank, and the oldest, is the Institute of Public Affairs (IPA). The IPA describes itself as ‘a political organisation in the sense that it influences the political agenda’ but claims that it ‘avoids politicalparty partisanship’. It stands for, among other things, ‘less regulation and smaller government generally’ and ‘rational economic policies’.”

  8. Last bit for now.
“Traumatic events of the earliest years of infancy and childhood are not lost but, like a child’s footprints in wet cement, are often preserved life-long. Time does not heal the wounds that occur in those earliest years; time conceals them. They are not lost; they are embodied .”
    (Felitti VJ)

    A HISTORY OF CHILDREN
    AT OUR
    BORDERS
    Cruel Care
“Australia has long grappled with how to treat refugees, particularly children, who come to our country. You already know about the draconian policies that emanated from Stop The Boats sloganeering.
Concern for the welfare of child refugees has been put forward by Australian governments as the reason for increasingly harsh policies. In 2001, the Howard government claimed that refugees had thrown their children overboard in an attempt to enter Australia. This was shown to be a lie. But it was used as an excuse for sending refugees to offshore prisons on Manus Island and Nauru – including children.
The physical and psychological health of thousands of children has been badly damaged by Australia’s refugee policies. Numerous professional medical reports as well as leaked ‘incident reports’ from these detention centres have illustrated the massive harm done to children kept in them for years. In many cases, these have included suicide attempts.
