It is a humbling pleasure to announce that I have, with Dee, posted our 50 theses, just a cathedral door short of Luther’s. Yes, we have produced a new book, containing our hottest articles. Could trigger a reformation! As from tomorrow we have review copies to give to any interested critics.

The title of our book is Truth in Journalism (seriously).

And more excitement. This Friday, the Walkley Foundation will be announcing the 2015 finalists in its annual competition for Best Freelance Journalist.  Dee and I had the chutzpah, or if you prefer, the colossal gall, to nominate ourselves. The requirement was that we submit a “body of work” of 5 pieces published from July 2014 to April 2015.

She submitted her video of interview with Malcolm Fraser in which he spoke of the dangers of alliances. I submitted a Youtube video of myself whining at Tony Abbott in regard to the Sydney “siege.”

Plus we each submitted four articles.

The four by Dee are 1. Dr Karl, ‘Please Explain’ Building 7.   2. Teetering Towards Totalitarianism. 3. Rupert Murdoch, This Could Be Your Greatest Hour, and 4. Will the MH17 Investigation Be Compromised?

The four articles by moi are 1. Surrealism: Unabomber’s Lawyer Defends Tsarnaev. 2. Dr Sherri Tenpenney Bound for Botany Bay Until….   3. Time to Revisit the Malcolm-Fraser-Lost-His-Pants Story, and 4. Who Signs the TPP Commits Treason.

A Regrettable Indiscretion

I sure wish Dee had not referred to the coveted award as a “Wankley” in her article “The Gold Walkley Awards for Excellent Journalism – Avoiding the Real Crimes.” It could prejudice the board of judges against me. I hope they know I would never use an appellation of that sort!

Below you will see the cover of our our new book. Please note that the name of my colleague/boss is Dee McLachlan. She’s reserving the nom de plume of Dalia Mae Lachlan for her “other books”, i.e., the children’s series Awaken Your Kids.  I trust she will follow that up with a series entitled “Awaken Your Parents.”

Wish us well at the Wankley Walkley!

  1. I wanted the Walkley judges to read about ‘our’ esteemed Dr Karl; about Rupert – and to remind them that we are entering an age of totalitarianism (in case they were oblivious of that).

  2. Clearly a marvelous and brave effort and you both deserve to be acknowledged.
Even Moore’s Farenheit 911 turned up on SBS recently ………….. it was booed at Cannes, if I recall.
I am not familiar with the award, is it a cheque or something you stick on the mantelpiece or both.

    • ned.. no boos..i think..

CANNES, France, May 22 – At the awards ceremony that wrapped up the 57th Cannes Film Festival on Saturday night, the jury gave “Fahrenheit 9/11,” Michael Moore’s stinging critique of the Bush administration’s foreign policies, the Palme d’Or, the festival’s top prize and one of the most coveted honors in international cinema.

The announcement, made by jury president Quentin Tarantino, met with enthusiastic cheers from the audience in the Grand Théâtre Lumière, where Mr. Moore’s film had received what many thought was the longest standing ovation ever at Cannes when it was screened here last Monday.

if the winners are picked on anything less than merit, then I wish you girls good luck, otherwise, you don’t need it.

      • I think Ned recalls the boos at the Oscars.
They start cheering and clapping – then booeing as soon as it becomes a touchy political.
        How quickly the crowd changes.

        • I think they say at the beginning that oscar was for “bowling for columbine” not “fahrenheit 911” 🙂

either way.. youre right about the crowd. but being oscars, they are probably much more pretentious holywood filth than the crowd that might be at cannes.

shame on them, he was only telling the truth. maybe, if you can trust an ex cia agent, the elite can be deleted, and if so, it will be because of people like you. thanks!

Ex CIA agent explains how to delete the elite!

          • Not to be a party pooper, but “Bowling for Columbine” laid the blame for that shooring at the feet ot gun manufacturers, instead of where it really belongs.

The film’s happy moment consisted of Moore and friends getting the local Kmart (or Woolies, I forget) to stop stocking ammo.

Anyway, it’s verrry exciting to hear the trumpets play “award winner’s music” as Moore walks up to the stage. I am going to practice tonght.
            Just in case.

          • well.. even Fahrenheit 911 didnt really come out and say the bloody obvious – that the official account of 911 is impossible.. hes just as shonky as chumpsky or pilger. like to pretend to be rebels, but always shy at the big hurdle.

I think you should publish your award acceptance speech regardless.
