Activists from the antiwar group CodePink attempted to perform a citizen’s arrest on former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger (91) when he testified on global security challenges at a Senate Armed Services Committee meeting on Thursday. John McCain lashed out at the protesters and called on the Capitol Hill Police to remove them.
What a laugh that Senator John McCain then said, “I have never seen anything as disgraceful and outrageous and despicable as the last demonstration that just took place” and “Get out of here, you low-life scum.”

On Henry Kissinger: He’s been called a thug, a crook, a liar, a pseudo-intellectual and a murderer – and worse. Here is the interview with late Christopher Hitchens who wrote the book ‘The Trial of Henry Kissinger’.
I suspect John McCain’s vitriol is probably because he fears history will question his own legacy in a similar light.
McCain – Just another day at the ‘office’ meeting ‘rebels’
McCain, who I have called ‘The Maestro of the Arab Wars‘ in this article has (secretly) met with ‘terrorist’ groups and is a classic war-monger himself. When McCain participated in a Republican debate on Larry King (CNN) in 2000, he was asked: “What area of American international policy would you change immediately as president?” McCain said: “I’d institute a policy that I call ‘rogue state rollback’… I would arm, train, equip, both from without and from within, forces that would eventually overthrow the governments…”. I would define that arrogance and war-like mentality as worse than scum-like behaviour. These politicians, that talk of peace and freedom, hide behind status, power and media barons to continue their egregious behaviour. But worse still, they protect ‘war criminals’ like Henry Kissinger.
These people in power – who have participated in government sanctioned war and murder – do not want a prosecution tested.
Not sure why they’d try to arrest Hank for war crimes. That’s not a goer, as the public does not understand it. In fact most people are “okay” with what their country does abroad. I think the CodePinkers should at least have quoted the War Crimes Act, a wholly domestic item. It’s at 18 USC 2441. Oz does not have equivalent legislation, unfortunately.
Anyway, there will be a chilling effect, which is nice.
Rape is one of the specified war crimes. But plain old rape is a state crime. Why not set up a state grand jury to indict Hank for that, based on the testimony of Kay Griggs. She is the ex-wife of a US Marine who, when inebriated, got loose lips that could sink some amazing ships. Please see her videos. Luckily some military men have had the spine to send “Thank you videos” to Griggs. Here is one that any soldier will be able relate to:
