“It’s not about water or electricity. You have destroyed everything. You have destroyed our country. You have destroyed our ancient civilization. You have destroyed what is inside of us. You have taken our smiles from us. You have taken our dreams.” This is what an Iraqi student said about the 2003 invasion to Cathy Breen when she returned to Iraq after nine years (Cathy had been a nurse there briefly for ‘Voice In The Wilderness’). Read here. And this was said before ISIS.
And just over a week ago Prime Minister Abbott was laying a wreath at the 9/11 memorial – the place where all this suffering started. At the memorial that has a magnificent waterfall and is lit up at night, this is what he said: “It’s really quite overwhelming to be in this place on the spot where some 2900 people were killed, including 10 Australians, in one of the most horrific events in world history.” Then “Above all else though, we cherish the freedom which was under assault that day. We should never forget that the 9/11 bombers were people who hated us, who hated our way of life.” “We are free people, we are countries and civilisations which believe that everyone should be free to live their own lives, to worship their own god, to do their own thing.” Sorry Mr Abbott – you are mistaken. When your government was last in power you participated in an illegal war, and Australia – along with other Western countries – facilitated in the ‘shock and awe’ of Iraq – to bomb the Iraqi’s back into the stone age. And it seems it succeeded. We were patsy’s to falsified intelligence, the fraudulent PR and the presstitute media – and as a result we then participated in the most egregious war crimes imaginable. (Listen here to a regretful veteran)
Interestingly Mr Abbott mentions ‘bombers’. The official story is that planes and office fires brought the buildings down, but Tony Abbott’s choice of words is much closer to the truth. Yes Building 7 (if you listen to science and believe in logic) did come down as a result of “bombers” planting explosive devices (see here and here). So who were those ‘bombers’ that hate freedom?
But back to Iraq – the hell is only beginning. And what does Tony Blair think of all this? He thinks that commentary critical of the 2003 invasion having some causation to the violent insurgency now as “bizarre” (here), and has long since washed his hands of the blood or blame.
Firstly, it has been clearly established that the invasion of Iraq has made the world a more dangerous place – has increased the threat of terrorism – and encouraged Jihardism. So what then has allowed the rise of ISIS?
ISIS used to be known as al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI), the leading Islamist extremist group during the Iraq War. The corporate media reports ISIS in Iraq received many of its weapons as a result of the Iraqi retreat from Mosul. ISIS, however, had plenty of weapons prior to the takeover. Most came from the United States.
Following the disruption and overthrow of Libya, the CIA and its partners moved weapons into Syria to remove Assad. The murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens was collateral damage in this operation. With the US and the Saudi’s intent on removing the government of al-Assad government, they have admitted to sponsoring weapons to groups fighting the Syrian regime. Earlier this month, Obama’s top foreign policy advisor, Susan Rice, admitted the United States is providing lethal weapons to the “moderates” in Syria.
When you see a convoy of brand new vehicles heading for war – it seems logical that support has arrived from somewhere.
Seymour Hersh, the award-winning investigative journalist explained how the Senate buried information about the CIA and the gun-running operation in Benghazi (here reported in INFOWARS). This quoted from the article: A secret agreement reached in early 2012 between the Obama and Erdoğan administrations pertained to the rat line…. funding came from Turkey, as well as Saudi Arabia and Qatar; the CIA, with the support of MI6, and was responsible for getting arms from Gaddafi’s arsenals into Syria. A number of front companies were set up in Libya, some under the cover of Australian entities. Did I read Australian? The operation was run by David Petraeus, the CIA director who would later resign.
Now the professed leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was instrumental in the creation of al-Nusra. Well back in April Infowars reported on the fact the U.S. provides weapons to al-Nusra and other terrorists groups in Syria by way of its allegedly vetted “moderate” mercenaries.
So is the memo that General Wesley Clarke was told about at the Pentagon on the 20/9/01 all coming to fruition: The total destruction of seven countries.
Iraq now appears closer than ever to dividing along religious and sectarian lines. In fact, this was the plan all along. It was previously envisioned by the Bush neocons who penned A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm. The document created by the Study Group on a New Israeli Strategy Toward 2000 called for overthrowing Saddam Hussein and waging a proxy war against al-Assad in Syria. Well that’s working.

Back to Tony Abbott: What does he think of ISIS. He has described the situation in Iraq as a humanitarian disaster and is warning it may lead to the creation of a terrorist state, and Australia’s Defence Minister, David Johnston, says Australia will take its lead from the US on providing any military assistance in the region. “This organisation is much worse than Al Qaeda. It appears bigger, more versatile, more capable,” he said. (Well it seems it was fed by the warmongers from the West – not starved)
Why the hell can’t our leaders fess up to why this has unfolded like this? To learn from this continuing tragedy. But no we seem to continue to toe the line – this terrible bloody line.
But anyway, Abbott has been very busy touring the US: Reaffirming the 9/11 official lie; Ringing the bell for the corporatocracy; Opening Australia up for foreign ownership; Dinning with the King of the presstitute media (Maybe to thank him and get briefed?); Concealing the details of the TPP (to advantage global giants?); And now escalating the Australian government’s involvement in Washington’s military and strategic position in Asia (with the Wall Street Journal’s headline “U.S. and Australia to Cooperate on Asian Missile-Defense Plans” and noting that it was directed against China (globalresearch).
Well – it is all about war. Again. And it feels like we have a Patsy for a leader.
This is what happens when a secret community of “intelligence” flunkies is allowed to continue to operate after the war is over. Now the participants work to support their benifactors without even knowing who they are. Slowly over decades they manage to get operatives into every department and every strategic interest. Suddenly they have control over government functions the media, communications, banking, and industry. The individual operatives still think they are working for their country but it no longer exists. Now the hidden control freaks, the manipulators are in a position to systematically pillage everything with their network of patriotic fools and their culture of secrecy and massive black budgets. The public is largely helpless because the vast majority can’t see the writing on the wall or don’t want to believe it’s true. Thus what you don’t know or won’t see will hurt us all.
