I am reminded of the very rubbery figures that: of the 160,000 who were landed in the worst kept secret on 6 June 1944: 80,000 were American, and overall; somewhere between 5,000 and 24,000 were killed on the beaches.

The ‘A-teams’ used to infiltrate and leave the ammo (boxed or in a magazine) where the NVA regularly camped or had lunch. Sometimes they would infiltrate into an ammo dump and deposit the rounds with the main supply.
