A gumshoe AI adaption of Mary and Martian

Yours Truly is expecting the worst. Just a few examples: mass starvation, violent re-education camps, tuning up the weather to 120 degrees, mandatory attendance at public guillotining, nuclear war. I believe all this has been ‘practiced’ for a long time. It’s in the history textbooks, is it not? You must admit it’s perfectly “human.”

Luckily there are some Martians in residence here in the US. One of them stopped me on the street yesterday and started to chat. Since he did not ask for secrecy, I guess it will be OK for me to tell you what he said. The following is not verbatim; I am paraphrasing:

Martian: Early yesterday, April 15, I noticed you had posted at Substack.com a rather babyish article called “Arrest the Low-hanging Fruit.”

Myself: Why did you say my article is babyish?

Martian: Get serious. No one is going to arrest low-hanging fruit.

Myself: Why not?

Martian: The thugs aren’t going to let that happen. Don’t you have a plaque in your living room listing 35 whistleblowers who got killed?

Myself: Funny, I don’t recall your being in my living room. Hey, if you think I’m babyish, tell me what We-the-People can do in this time of crisis.

Martian: I was hoping you’d ask. I will tell you three things to do – A, B, and C — in ascending order of punchiness.

Myself: I’m ready.

Martian: OK, it’s clear that the humans who are trying to pull off this really huge heist of everyone’s dignity and happiness, are not, themselves, in good mental condition. At the very least they’ve left out an important element in their planning. Namely, they are forgetting that the future they’re designing for the proles will be lousy for them too.

Myself: I had noticed that. Somehow their behavior pattern is so goal-directed that they overlook the personal price they have to pay.

Martian: True. And often these planners have worked on something that couldn’t come into effect in their lifetime. Now that’s altruistic!

Myself: So what are you offering to we-the-people on this?

Martian: I offer that you, and any colleagues who recognize mental illness, go do what you do when you find a poor person who is mentally ill. You put him under Guardianship.

Myself: I like it, I like it. In one of my books I recommended that we put David Rockefeller (1915-2017) under guardianship. And at that point I hadn’t even heard what Anneke Lucas recently revealed. Namely that Rocky was her handler. A guy that wants to have sex with a 10-year-old is not exactly a model of mental health.

Martian: Now you’re getting into criminal issues, but I am only advising you to call the local looney bin and have him put away, via a diagnosis. After you collect a few of these nut jobs into your Guardianship, you become the trustee of their wealth — gold, diamonds, land, whatever.

Myself: I like it — we won’t even have to prove the crimes. What’s second on your list? Have you got anything that a typical human-rights activist will be comfortable with?

Martian: Sure. And strategically this may be the only method for you to use, given that you are totally outgunned.

Myself: Tell me, tell me!

Martian: I suggest that if any of the bad guys have committed murders for which you have the receipts, you offer them Amnesty.

Myself: Dunno. Human rights activists might go for it, but a lot of people will say “We can’t possibly let them off the hook. That won’t fix the problem.”

Martian: I mean you would make the amnesty conditional. Maybe say they would have to prove their remorse, and that they will undo as much of their evil works as possible.

Myself: Hmm. Today some evil ones must be hoping that the future will be something less than destruction of the whole society — but they dread broaching that to their buddies lest they’d appear disloyal. I bet ordinary loyalty is a huge factor.

Martian: Most of the super-evil ones were born into families that had been doing evil for generations. They had no opportunity in childhood to learn right from wrong. As you say, loyalty is a big thing and it includes being loyal to their family’s tried and tested dismissal of consideration for people’s suffering.

Myself: You know that I’ve been speaking to John F Kennedy, Jr — the real one not the fake one that died in the plane crash. An older member of his family, code-named ‘Wayne,’ used to torture him ‘lovingly.’ John understood it as love when Wayne put him into harsh and dangerous circumstances, as this would prepare him for all dangers. Have you read his book “Stolen Identity”?

Martian: No. I don’t read English.

Myself: Oh I forgot; you sound so American. Anyway, what is Plan C on your agenda? “A” for Guardianship and “B” for Amnesty were very mild. Can’t you give us some rootin’ tootin’ violence against the evil ones?

Martian: I don’t have it in my briefcase. It has to be in your briefcase. I mean the whole world’s briefcase. At the moment some people in Ireland have said they’d rather die than let the Evil ones crush them. That’s a first and necessary step.

Myself: When I was in Academia, the notion of Non-violence held center stage. I think it’s obvious we have to get past that. There has to be some moral-valuing of Violence. Indeed our whole system of law, which you may know I am very devoted to, contains plenty of violence. In Australia’s early days as a penal colony of England, you could expect a lifetime of violence for having stolen a loaf of bread.

Martian: As I said, it’s down to the people. Yes of course you can make an attempt on the life of an Evil one. In some cases it is considered self-defense.

Myself: Legally, the permission to defend yourself extends to your helping others, too, such as those nearby you. But the discussion of who killed whom would end up in a courtroom, which isn’t Plan C-ish. I have in mind everyone taking the law into his own hands — in advance of the crucial moment.

Martian: Go ahead and try. Most of them have bodyguards.

Myself: Shakespeare would say the bodyguards are the ones to do it.

Martian: My Plan A, B, and C don’t exhaust the possibilities for conquering the evil ones. Sometimes a change takes place by folks suddenly realizing the extent of the evil and the amazing extent of their laziness, or should I say their complicity.

Myself: Go ahead, say the people are complicit when they fail to act. The other day I read in Mary Efrosini Gregory’s book, “Christianity and 21st Century Science,” that a huge part of science and technology is out to harm us. We have been blissfully aware of the plotting and planning that must have gone into his for centuries.

Get a load of this quote from her 2009 book. She is summarizing what Zbigniew Brzezinski wrote, back in 1972, as though he was predicting (but he was also a force in making it happen). His book is called Between Two Ages: America’s Role in the Technocratic Era. Here is Mary Gregory commenting, on page 328 of her book Christianity and Twenty-first Century Science:

Among the most striking prognostications are that a tiny plutocracy [pluto, the rich] would come to rule over the entire world,

There would be pre-crisis management, [PRE-CRISIS. Hello?]

Science and the media would be used to control large populations of people and “power will gravitate to those who control information”,

As technology advances in leaps and bounds, decisions related to health, finance, education, and politics would be made more and more by artificial intelligence,

The power-hungry elite would exploit science to further its interests:

it would use technology to manipulate people’s minds not just through the media, but via electromagnetic waves that, resonating the low frequency of the human body, have been shown in labs to be able to impair the physiology of the brain,

Cultures residing side by side in the same country will become increasingly more fragmented, self-absorbed and self-indulgent,

There will be growing inequality in the world and the elite would exploit the inequality to further its control.

Mary Efrosini Gregory then adds, on pp238-239, more predictions than the ones Brzezinski listed:

“Countries will be quilted together in trade agreements in which they share common ground. These pieces in turn will be sown to other fragments until all countries are economically interdependent

“The value of currencies will be destroyed in order to topple governments from within.

“Migration will be wholly encouraged (I.e., illegal immigration will not be punished and new real estate will be developed by burning down large areas of land)

“until all nations have lost every vestige of their religious, ethnic, and culturally identities and are absorbed into an all-encompassing entity ruled by the rich elite.”

Martian: So what are you Earthlings waiting for?

Myself: Shame, shame, shame on us!

    As I rest my eyes for a night’s tour of God/our creator’s universe I skimmed your chat with the Martian whose wisdom you sought.
    With the most usual respect I wondered, as he might know, why you did not raise with him, as to how they resolve their Martian problems, if any, of a similar kind.
    If you have another opportunity; on our readers behalf, would you kindly raise that issue with him for us.
    After all, as such a wise and advance entity he would that you consulted, he surely would know.
    We would like to know why, the source of creation and our creator, why ‘source’’ restricted
    his imagination only to create beings for our planet and apparently also for Mars with the inhabitants and left billions of other planets uninhabited.
    Also why our creator chose a few million of his creation in this planet to be chosen to control the rest of our planet’s inhabitants?.
    It does not appear to be fair for most of his creation for our planet.
