When Did You Find Out about 9-11?

I accidentally came across an article by Craig McKee in which he asked over thirty truth activists how they first knew that the official 9-11 story was false. From McKee’s list I have chosen seven, as they are ones who then went out and founded a group.  Everyone has heard of Pilots for 9-11 Truth, but perhaps not the others. The seven are:

The following is an abbreviated report of their answers to McKee’s question: “What tipped you off, and when?”

  1. Rob Balsamo

In May 2006, I was watching Glenn Beck’s show on CNN. The Department of Defense had just released the infamous “5 frames” of stop-action video of the Pentagon attack. … While watching it, I’m thinking to myself, “I can’t see any 757.”  … So I started poking around on the Internet trying to find anything I can to back up the government’s story, because I didn’t want to believe our government might have had something to do with 9/11.

Early on, I came across Operation Northwoods.  It blew me away that elements of our government had seriously planned acts of terrorism inside the United States to justify invading Cuba…. In 2006, I co-founded Pilots for 9/11 Truth to more formally conduct research on the aviation-related aspects of 9/11.

In August 2006, Pilots received from the National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) a copy of the Flight Data Recorder data of Flight 77, which, according to the official account, hit the Pentagon. We analyzed the data and announced our conclusion on 3/26/07 that “The information provided by the NTSB does not support the 9/11 Commission Report of American Airlines Flight 77 impact with the Pentagon.” …

I’m frustrated because we haven’t been able to find anything to confirm the government’s story. And what’s worse is that the FBI and NTSB refuse to even discuss with us the many obvious problems we found in the Flight 77 FDR.

  1. David Ray Griffin

In the fall of 2002, one of my students at the Claremont School of Theology told me that a visiting professor said that 9/11 was an inside job and asked if I wanted to meet him. I said yes, and after talking with him, I told him that his theory certainly seemed plausible, given all the things the US government had done (I was working on a book manuscript on US imperialism), but that I would need to see evidence. I studied the evidence he emailed but concluded that it was not persuasive, so I went back to my work on U.S. imperialism

But early in 2003, another colleague from another institution sent … a short version (provided in Paul Burks’ Want To Know) of Paul Thompson’s “Complete 9/11 Timeline.” It took only a few hours to realize that its reports of stories contradicting the official story that had appeared in the mainstream press – but usually only once – was of utmost importance.

I then obtained books on the subject, starting with Gore Vidal’s Dreaming War, which led me to Nafeez Ahmed’s War on Freedom.

  1. James Hufferd

I had determined by 9/11 or early on 9/12, as soon as the basic OCT (official conspiracy theory) started to appear basically fully articulated, with pics and data about all the “hijackers” and their roles and that Osama bin Laden was at the bottom of it, only a couple of hours after – and maybe before – the collapse of Building 7, that the whole story would have to have been written to release in advance.

There just hadn’t been enough time to have more than barely begun to carry out the extensive investigation that would have been required. And I knew they wouldn’t have left it up to a gang of rag-tag little more than teenagers to pull off.

  1. Jonathan Mark

At the time of September 11, 2001, I was involved with a campaign to stop offensive weapons from entering outer space. The twin towers crumbling before my eyes initiated a free-fall on many levels in our civilization. I wasn’t sure of anything at first, and even Osama bin Laden seemed like a candidate.

The free fall of our civilization was that 9/11 was used to justify the horrendous “war on terror,” pre-emptive war, loss of justice, habeas corpus, human rights, bill of rights. Everything was going down, fast, and after six months notice, President Bush axed the ABM Treaty and started putting offensive weapons in space.

The campaign to prevent this from happening failed, and 9/11 was used as justification for such extreme measures. So I started reporting articles looking into the events with more depth. The January 17, 2002 issue included an article by William Rivers Pitt, “Hell to Pay.” Slowly the facts built up to a strong case of government abuse and involvement in crimes against humanity. Without the facts of what really happened on 9/11 and beyond, there will be no truth, justice, or peace. 9/11 justice is key.

  1. Aldo Marquis

I first became aware of problems with 9/11 back in 2002-03 after I watched 9/11: The Road to Tyranny by Alex Jones. I was completely floored by the alternative news stories shedding a whole other light on 9/11. I fully immersed myself in researching these claims and others. In doing so, I learned there was much misinformation and disinformation floating out there, although there were still enough unanswered problems to keep me digging.

Soon, I turned my attention towards the Pentagon attack… I realized that the only way I can truly know what happened is to actually go out there and interview witnesses to the event obtaining key details about what they saw and where they saw it.

I went there prepared to be proven wrong about everything I believed about the attack and was open to the official version of events. Once I learned for myself that the plane flew on the north side of the gas station, I absolutely knew that 9/11 was an “inside job” orchestrated by powerful forces within our government, military and intelligence communities. Once I had enough corroboration, there wasn’t a doubt left in my mind. It was an inside job.

  1. Nelisse Muga

I began my search for 9/11 truth when I had a friend call early on a Sunday morning in April 2005. She insisted I turn on the TV to C-Span, so reluctantly I did. Someone named Dr. David Ray Griffin was talking about 9/11/01 and questioning the 9/11 Commission Report that had recently been published. He was very convincing and simply asked his audience to look a bit closer into what might have happened. Did the official report really make sense? I quickly realized it did not.

It turned my world upside down. Originally I believed it was “blowback,” – and since that day I have been, I guess you would say obsessed – with finding the truth and living long enough to see justice. …

It was shortly after this that I began our local group, San Diegans for 9/11 Truth, with Ted [my husband, a retired pilot]. Dr. Griffin was the perfect messenger for me to begin my journey. We have read all of his books and have had him as our guest presenter down here on several occasions – lucky us!

It’s funny how Ted and I never discussed 9/11/01 until that day when we saw David on C span. Ted said he became suspicious in 2002 when KPBS-Nova came out with the Pancake-Theory. Ted’s degree is in structural engineering, and he knew there was no such thing. It’s much like the “domino theory” we all learned about during the Vietnam war. That was another term dreamed up by our propaganda machine to keep the public in their comfort zone. It’s now time for all of us to become very uncomfortable.

  1. Elizabeth Woodward

I watched a Vision TV program in December, 2001, which as I recall had Barrie Zwicker interviewing Michael Ruppert. I found it very persuasive and telephoned my brother to tell him about it. Then I went back to my life, until, in April 2006, a former neighbour, a psychologist, handed me a book called The New Pearl Harbor, by Dr. David Ray Griffin.

The writing was crystal clear and the layout of the evidence was so logically compelling and strongly documented that there was no escaping the conclusion that 9/11 had been permitted to happen by forces within the United States.

The certain knowledge of this through the concrete detail that was presented changed me over a period of about three days, as I adjusted to it. It penetrated my world view of American politics in a new way, such that I was unable to endure hearing the words, so oft repeated within minutes of turning on the radio or television, “Ever since 9/11….” without doing something about the preposterous fantasy that had descended upon us and was so frequently reiterated.

So I wrote a book review of The New Pearl Harbor for the New York Times, and I contacted its author, David Ray Griffin.  That was five years ago, and we have now worked on 7 books and 20 essays together.///

Anyone who is reading this can probably recall the shock he or she felt upon making the initial discovery. I was scared to death. It is very reassuring to know that the aforementioned groups exist. Until now – 2016 – I was mainly only aware of individual researchers and writers.

I shall now grab from Craig McKee’s list four other activists who said something surprising about their discovery: Barrie Zwicker, filmmaker and author of Towers of Deception: The Media Cover-Up of 9/11,  Cynthia McKinney, Former congresswoman and presidential nominee for the Green Party in 2008, Niels Harrit, associate chemistry professor, University of Copenhagen, and Giulietto Chiesa, Italian journalist, producer of the 9/11 documentary Zero.

  1. Barrie Zwicker

I knew before noon on 9/11, 2001 because I realized that for the USAF to fail to turn a wheel until it was too late, during a drama in the sky of almost two hours was, simply, impossible. So there had to be a USAF stand-down, which means an inside job.

8. Cynthia McKinney

Immediately after the tragedies, in 2001, I called for an investigation of what happened in an Op-Ed piece that appeared in several newspapers. I noted that airplane crashes, train wrecks, and other accidents always routinely result in exhaustive investigations – why not with the tragedies of 11 September 2001?

Instead, both President Bush and Vice-President Cheney were actively obstructing any investigation with lame-brained excuses that didn’t make any sense. Eventually, a tightly controlled victims’ compensation fund was established that restricted legal inquiry by victims and survivors into the tragedies. As my last legislative act before being expelled from Congress by the pro-Israel lobby in the U.S., I introduced legislation to nullify the rule forcing victims to choose between accepting financial help from the fund and knowing the truth.

Secretary of State Colin Powell promised a white paper to the people of the U.S. detailing what happened and who the culprits were; the white paper was never forthcoming. … So, to this day, we all know what we saw, but we don’t know officially what happened. In the absence of truth from the government, the people must, themselves, find truth.

By accident, I saw Building 7 go down in 2006 on a DVD somebody had sent to my wife. Since that moment, there has been no way back.

  1. Giulietto Chiesa

Immediately after having seen on TV the events while they were happening in 2001…  It seemed to me, at first sight, that it was a huge TV show. And I argued that only a group of Western people, accustomed to the modern TV, could conceive of such a show.

You have to keep in mind that I was visiting Afghanistan in January that year, and I came back and wrote the book Afghanistan Anno Zero (Afghanistan Year Zero), which was in Italian bookshops just three days before 9/11.

In my other book Genoa/G8, the picture of international relations had become a very worrying one. This means I was, in a certain sense, “psychologically prepared” to consider the possibility of an event of that kind. Frankly speaking I was waiting for something similar.

In any case I began looking for more detailed information, and I was overwhelmed by the contradictory explanations. I believed this was normal during a chaotic situation like this.

Only later, three or four days after the event, my suspicions began to take shape, and I began working systematically on the subject.

  1. Don’t nobody go creditin’ me with this; I only copied it. But it would be fun to do a similar article based on Gumshoe readers’ experience with their day of discovery. Please send your 3 paragraphs (or so) to me and I will put them together. Don’t be ashamed if you didn’t discover till 2015.
    And pray tell if you were influenced (to believe the official line) by the reports of phone calls made from the planes.

    • And well done Cynthia Mckinney, who got voted out. As did Laurent Louis from the Belgian parliament. We need to support our elected leaders who do the right thing. (E.g. Senator Bill Heffernan who did not contest in the recent Oz election after supporting Fiona Barnett’s accusations re pedophilia.)

      Please just watch from 14 minutes to 17 minutes when Louis reveals the PM’s pedophile crimes. Then Louis was sentenced to a 50,000 euro fine for this, even though the parliamentarians speech is protected. About a year later I saw him being brutally arrested on Youtube but cannot find it now.

      It all comes down to who will stand up for the right.

      Yes, he lost his seat. But just think if he head been too timid to tell the truth. He also told the truth in Parliament about 9-11.

      • So Belgium has no free speech either, which is no surprise.

        Knowing what I know now, I’d suspect that many of the people in the courtroom are probably also pedophiles and/or participate in rituals that involve children, probably including all of most of the individuals who got up and walked out.

        But I had my own experience with this just yesterday while telling some people about this “Pizzagate” regarding Wikileaks and Podesta (Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager and former chief of staff to Bill Clinton and counselor to Barack Obama). The reaction was that the information was not true, that the source was illegitimate, and that if I disseminate information that isn’t true that I am committing a sin. I don’t believe these people are pedophiles at all, but for some reason they seem to be terrified of the idea. My reason for bringing up the subject was not only that children are being abused in extremely heinous ways, but also that we may know who some of them are and where they gather. It’s at least worthy of research and investigation to make sure that children are properly protected. But I couldn’t get any interest at all. So, like some of the people in this video, they’d rather allow the abuse to continue without investigation than to even hear about such things. C’est la vie.

        I have a great deal of both respect and sympathy for Mr. Louis.

          So far I have read Internet interpretations of the “pizza” codes. But that would not itself prove anything. The words could mean something else. I do suppose they mean what you think they mean, but have you seen any evidence that could be pinned down?
          And I sympathize with your experience yesterday. Geez.

          In regard to Fiona Barnett, one could say that she dreamed it. Fine. Let the case be put and let a jury decide. We don’t hold back a case because the person doesn’t have watertight proof. That’s the jury’s “problem.”

            There is a mountain of circumstantial evidence around. But even now, things are being hidden and deleted. I haven’t finished researching it yet since there are so many links. It seems that no one will prosecute these cases because all or most “officials” are involved in one way or another. This is how the system has been set up and I’m guessing it’s the same all over the world.

  3. May I have your attention please? on November 4, 2016, Obama signed an executive order called
    “Advancing the global health security agenda”. (The “GHSA”)
    It contains this phrase:

    “(d) The Attorney General, generally acting through the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), shall:

    “(i) serve, in conjunction with other relevant agencies, as the United States Government lead for GHSA targets relating to linking public health and law enforcement, and coordinate with INTERPOL on the GHSA and its successful implementation.

    “(g) The Secretary of Homeland Security shall: (i) assess the impacts of global health threats on homeland security operations.”

    The US federal govt has no constitutional grant of power for anything related to health. Of course. Much less to “link public halth and law enforcement.” Of course. Much less INTERPOL.

    • Trump says he’s going to repeal(?) every single executive order signed by Obama, on Day 1, along with a slew of other actions he plans to take on Day 1. We’ll have to wait and see how that works out. People think I’m a bit “out there,” but in my view, health is a personal issue — unless it has to do with an epidemic that could get personal for many others. But then I have to ask, does “nature” cause epidemics, really? I don’t know the answer to that. But what I do know is that the globalists really like epidemics and they have the ability to “engineer” them using people in government or working with government. I’d be quite happy to see this one repealed, which is why I don’t expect Trump will do it.

As for nature causing epidemics, no this can not occur! but for those who let their physiology both mentally and physically decline because they fail to detoxify, alkalise, probiotic repopulate the gut, oxygenate, music /sound /vibration their physical body will become a target for disease and perish sooner or later. Those who I have known that passed on early (before 70) never held a glass of water in their hand from what I observed.         As for the event of 9/10 it was 2005 when a friend mentioned Building 7. It took less than a second for me to recognise it as a controlled demolition

This was, in fact, my reaction to 9/11, both originally and up to the present time. There’s always more to understand and nothing is just as it appears.

The allegation the American government are responsible for the the Twin Towers destruction, one of the most criminal acts in so called peace times of the First World? is it plausible the Tavistock, Rand and so forth having manipulated the minds of so many the general public, through propaganda, media, and education, can be complicit of a crime that could be described as treason? this extraordinary feat is somewhat breath taking and more so is so clever as almost admirable in its ability of corruption and management of evil.

  7. I reserve any comment on this subject, if I were to address a jury demolishing the official government and msm 911 conspiracy theory, I expect that it would take me at least 2 days without a note.
    I have been on to the 911 unscientific lies since about 2004. At first I was suckered by msm lies, deception.
    Ever since, I have been subject to consistent vilification, even by colleagues. One junior even excIaimed; ‘I suppoes you are holocaust denier’ . (19.9,2009) On that day the smh reported the Gage interview with Utzon jnr. re questions concerning the collapse of building number 7. Pity the junior was not concerned to read the article, but chose to denigrate with weird irrelevant comparisons. Well that is a burden, truth will overcome.
    Need I explain stupid?
    Back in about 2005 another junior told me that I was a fool for questioning 911, we entered a gentleman’s wager. I doubt if I will cllect.
    A lawyer’s basic duty to the community under the Westminster system of checks and balances, is to differentiate the legislature, the executive and the judiciary for the purposes to protect the people from excesses of the control freaks. Some refer to it as democracy.
    Supporting the official unscientific 911 conspiracty theory, without examining the scientific evidence, betrays the ‘ judicial’ function of those who have a duty under the Westminster system and an oblgation of due diligence to carry out their function of protecting the ordinary citizen from the excesses of bureacatic authoritarian lies and control, imposed with the politicians’s ignorance . Naturally those of the legslature have a similar duty of due diligence….for why are they paid for to be our representaves?
    I have been provided with the obituray for my headstone by those who understand.

    • There is a date error above the smh article was on the 19th NOVEMBER 2009. There were two parts written, one by S Nicholls and the other by Feneley. (I do not possses a copy)
      There is a photograph of Richard Gage ( http://www.ae911truth.org/ )
      and Mr Utzon in one of the articles.The other article cited the ‘official’ NIST report on building N 7. That ‘official’ report had explained the collapse of building 7. That report is based on unscientific nonsense…………It does not explain the gravitational free fall for 2+ seconds at commencement of collapse nor has the computer modeling for the official number 7 theory been produced despite repaeted requests of NIST.
      It is disappointing that there are very few lawyers listed at;

      It would seem that the people listed at http://patriotsquestion911.com/ are certainly more astute than the typical lawyers……………(not to mention our poor politicians) well over 400 are professors are listed and there are heaps of those ex-military/government types, Like Lt’ Col’ Bob Bowman [rip] who stayed in Sydney as my guest at home. He simply said that the protocol for authorising military interceptions was changed from the military to the executive in July 2001 and it was absolutely certain the the USAF was stood down on 11th September!! He sums up the ‘official government 911 conspiracy theory as “HOGWASH”. (‘BS’ in Aussie speak!)

    Barrie Zwicker was one of the first people to present information about 911, and practically everything he said was incorrect. In spite of that he has continued to say practically the same things for the last 15 years , as if he was incapable of learning anything.
