I understand an issue of Treason is being discussed with the Vindmans. They have a lawyer who has just laid a carpet of bullshit to a depth, that it is doubted the Vindmans can ever find traction. They were headed to a military tribunal, and may disappear off the radar.
We do not need a six month news cycle of their lawyer incessantly advising that these type of Un-American treasonous humanoids need anything.

You can’t say Trump “won” the case, re emoluments. Rather, the court dismissed it for lack of standing of the plaintiffs. The plaintiffs were 215 members of Congress (29 of them being senators), who filed as interested individuals.
Their “interest” is that they did not get a chance to vote to enforce a clause of the Constitution that prohibits the president from accepting a gift from a foreign sovereign.
The Constitution’s balance of powers is protected by various clauses of the Con, such as the Congress’s power of the purse, and war-making power. I would like to see the court not duck out of ruling in some cases (e.g., Maxwell v Trump) where both of the two other branches have failed in their duty to the Constitution and to its balance of powers.
It seems to me that in the emolument (gift) matter, the correct constitutional procedure would be Impeachment. (No, I don’t mean we should have impeachments every season; rather the threat to impeach, if made by a majority — preferably “bipartisan” — should be enough to control the executive.)
BTW, many scholars, as amici curiae, weighed in on this emolument case (Blumenthal v Trump), in favor of standing!
