I’ve always been fascinated by old photographs of grand cities like San Francisco, where enormous buildings tower over streets occupied by only a handful of people and the occasional horse and buggy. It never quite made sense to me.

    Amazing what mysteries come up at BIN.
    I years ago I could not understand why the building in Sydney burnt down and that many fairs were well lighted. – note the reference to Sydney at about 22 mins. I did not know that Melbourne had one as well.
    The family has a few light bulbs from at least about 1917 and were still working when my wife’s grandma died . Around about late 1970’s

    • Strange, when I logged the above there was no Sandra or Caltrop commentary above on other things.. that all arrived soon after 8 this morning whilst mine was 927. Over a hour later than the 8 am plus comments.
      I suppose someone will get around to the fairs and fires ‘reset’.
      Perhaps someone might wonder if they are going for another ‘reset’ now. After all the world is up to Quadrillions of debt (with derivatives) and we need a knew slate.

        • Something for our GS brains trust… as for financing mass killing, I trust that most of us realise that we do. Think of our created debt and the interest we pay the bankers to underwrite the weapons….. for both sides.
          There has to be some rigging of munitions so that there will be a war, just using sticks and stones is not going to create enough killing and collateral murder.
          Then as arranged the bastards burn the place down, divvy up the geopolitical spoils and create enough hate and social dissension using religion to provide the foundation for the next war.

        • As for the Wiesenthal centre, I recall some hearing before ??? ( I will remember her in due course she was a Jew) where some Wiesenthal fellow appeared with a placard describing that in regard to questions concerning 911, that the ‘Architects and engineers’ on 911 needed to be banned? For questioning 911 (led by Richard Gage) and calling the organisation ‘CONSPIRACY THEORISTS’. And I think inferring that they should be dealt with.
          Richard Gage was my house (with others) guest at about that time for a conference in 2008.
          I even wrote to the weisentahp offfice in the US CHALLENGING HIS BS, of course no acknowledgement.
          Thus, when I discovered the CIA reports on Hitler I was not surprised that Hitler was not discovered and brought to justice by alleged worldwide searches for Hitler who is reported as passing away in the early 1960’s.

            SENATOR DIANNE FEINSTEIN WHO DIED IN 2023.
            BTW the address was a COMPLETE set up BY INCLUDING TWO OTHER GROUPS.
            The presenter had three large 5-6 high placards and the architects was centre.
            The address was basically condemning conspiracy theorists/organisations, so two of the placards referred to other groups and I do not recall what they were.
            But he concentrated, as another example of such organisations and directed his comments to the architects and engineers relating to 911 despicable ‘theorists’.

          no cosmic backup, no divine plan, no ultimate arbiter who will sort it all out in the end. just us, our choices, and whatever order we manage to build, or fail to build, before we are gone.

          it makes things simpler. if theres no god, then theres no one to blame for the state of things except the people running the show and the rest of us who let them – no “mysterious ways” to fall back on when a child dies of cancer or a war kills a hundred thousand civilians. just causes and effects, systems and incentives, decisions and consequences.

          it means the moral weight lands on us, not because we fear hell or hope for heaven, but because we are the ones who can make things better or worse for each other. Thats a heavier burden than any religion puts on us – no confession to wipe the slate, no grace to cover the gap between who we are and who we should be.

          do right because its right, not because of a commandment.

          some cant handle that and need the narrative. staring into the void and choosing to act like those choices matter is something.
