There are some subjects in Washington that politicians instinctively avoid — episodes of history so politically sensitive that even mentioning them can invite condemnation.

Yet this week, Congressman Thomas Massie invoked the USS Liberty — the American intelligence ship attacked during the Six-Day War in 1967 — by the Israelis.

He paid tribute to the sailors who survived. In doing so, he reopened a chapter of history that many believe has never been fully confronted. The video: on the House floor, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) slammed Israel over the 1967 attack on the USS Liberty.

He has about six months to open the flood gates.

  6. Hmmm, this USS Liberty story, must be some sort of si-op. Sure the ship was strafed but why was it there/at that time.Why was it not sunk. Was it attacked with anything not American(or lies, alias) made munitions. Why did it not scramble for sea/its battlegroup when receiving local/loud “intelligence” before the first attack.

    Why was the “intelligence” not used to clarify who started what
