Buried within America’s annual National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is a provision that has attracted little public attention — Section 219, which proposes a significant expansion of defense technology cooperation between the US and it’s “greatest ally” Israel. It includes artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, quantum computing, cyber capabilities and missile defense. Does it represent a deeper integration of the two nations’ defense industries with potentially far-reaching geopolitical consequences? It seems so. At the time of writing, however, Section 219 has not become law.
The Senate has yet to pass its version of the NDAA. The question is whether America is about to cross its Rubicon.
The death of Charlie Kirk has inevitably altered the political landscape. He was extremely influential at the White House and had the ear to a major portion of the Republican party.
I believe the “controllers” had been monitoring Charlie Kirk even more closely since October 7 when he began to turn away from the Israeli cause. I do not believe the President would have gone to full-blown war — killing Iran’s leadership and 165 schoolgirls had Kirk been alive.
I do not believe the Congress could have got away with slipping in s219 into the NDAA had Kirk been alive.
I believe, if the NDAA in its present form passes, it would represent a significant deepening of US–Israel defense technology integration. The war machine becomes one. Maybe this is a strategy to align with the number one terrorist country in the world so America can compete with China and Russia? But even the Pentagon recently announced Israel was the US’s number one intel threat.
