Report These Two Excellent Sources or just “Bugger Off”

Why don’t the journalists in Canberra question the “official” narratives?

This is a shocking state of affairs. Hundreds of journalists report on events and policy daily without using other important sources. And so few question our representatives in Canberra whether the government narrative has factual basis.

Here are two excellent sources that have presented themselves. One has to do with the MH17 crash in which 38 Australians lost their lives in 2014. The second is a video interview with a US Colonel about America’s disastrous foreign policy.

1 – Policeman Andrew Donoghue testifies re: MH17

Last year the mainstream media (MSM) came out and called Putin a murderer, and this built up to Tony Abbott’s shirt-fronting threat. Back then, the MSM was awash with accusations.

Now, a new development, the Coroners Court in Melbourne is the first in the world to hold an inquest into the MH17 crash. A senior Australian policeman, Detective Superintendent Andrew Donoghue, is involved in the investigation. Wouldn’t you think the MSM would be all over this?

Thanks to an article in investmentwatchdog entitled, MH17: Australia Say Russia Not To Blame, Evidence Tampered With, we have learned of Donoghue’s analysis. He says that a “tougher standard than the DSB (Dutch Safety Board) report” is required before the criminal investigation can identify the weapon that caused the crash. The article goes on:

“The official Australian investigation into the cause of the crash of Malaysian Airlines MH17 have accused the Dutch Safety Board (DSB) of failing to provide “conclusive evidence” of what exactly destroyed the aircraft, and say that Russia did not shoot down the plane despite accusations to the contrary from DSB.

“He and other international investigators are unconvinced by reports from the US and Ukrainian governments, and by the DSB, of a Buk missile firing. “Dutch prosecutors require conclusive evidence on other types of missile,” Donoghue said, intimating that “initial information that the aircraft was shot down by a [Buk] surface to air missile” did not meet the Australian or international standard of evidence.”

The Coroners Court in Melbourne want witnesses from Ukraine to testify. However many witnesses apparently refuse to testify unless they have protections.

“Australian police calls for Ukrainian witnesses on the ground, who may have seen or heard what happened on the fateful day, were issued in March 2015, and then again in June. Some of those who came forward to testify refused to do so, Donoghue said Tuesday, unless the Australian and Dutch police protected them in “a safe location”; excluded Ukrainian government officials; and kept the identities of the witnesses secret.”

Again, why are the two Australian media corporations not reporting this?

And why don’t Press Gallery in Canberra ask Tony “shirt-fronting” Abbott and Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull their thoughts on the Australian Police investigation. Maybe the government is struggling to pull Donoghue “into line.”

2 – U.S. Army Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson on the War Empire

Abby Martin interviewed retired US Army Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, a former national security advisor to the Reagan administration. Wilkerson spent years as an assistant to Secretary of State Colin Powell.

In the video below Wilkerson gives an honest portrayal of the corruption inside the US establishment, and the corporate interests that drive foreign policy. The outcome is “interminable war” — a madness which Australia obediently follows.

Take for example the government’s line that Syrian President Al-Assad used chemical weapons.  After all his investigations, the Colonel says “Bull“, and, he says “the evidence looked more strongly at other parties, not the president.” (from 14:50 on the video below)

Listen to his interesting view of the intertwining of the military and corporate world, and why the U.S. Empire is doomed.

Australian Journalists

The “BUGGER OFF” spread (inset) was the Herald Sun’s advice to President Putin for when he arrived at the G20 in November last year.

They will happily have us in a war… AGAIN.

Well, I think the Australian public would be better off if the Federal Press Gallery were to “bugger off” – to replaced with some real journalists asking our politicians some real questions.

  1. I quote ABCnet.au of Dec 16, 2015:

A Victorian coroner has accepted the findings of the Dutch Safety Board into the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 in July last year.
Thirty-eight Australians were among the 298 people who died when the plane, en route to Kuala Lumpur, was shot down over Ukraine with no survivors.

In his findings into a coronial inquest into the 17 Victorians killed, Deputy State Coroner Iain West said he was unable to make any findings on who caused the deaths and noted that the criminal investigation into the crash was ongoing.

The Dutch Safety Board found the plane crashed as a result of the detonation of a warhead to the left of the plane’s cockpit.
“I accept and adopt the findings of the Dutch Safety Board,” Mr West said.

    • OK, MSM, you can bugger off about Port Arthur, too.

The petition for a coronial inquest has now garnered 1091 signatures. Go to change.org and type “Cherri Bonney.” She’s the gal with an eye for Martin Bryant’s survival.

      Take a lesson from her.

  2. Thanks for noting this Dee. The overall media coverage of the Coronial Inquiry was a disgrace. The Murdoch press focused almost exclusively on the impact of the shoot down on the families of the victims. Fairfax was only marginally better. The tv stations mostly ignored it. SBS and ABC gave some coverage but asked no serious questions about the evidence and certainly did not report the extremely important evidence of Chief Supt Donoghue and Professor Ranson.
The findings of Deputy Coroner West which Mary notes above actually conflicted with the evidence that he had heard in his court. The DSB report West refers to is not supported by its own technical appendices, which it is obvious that no Australian reporter has bothered to read.
Another interesting point about West is that he was the co-author with Ranson of a presentation to a pathology conference in Melbourne that presented evidence at odds with what he is now saying.
The inescapable conclusion is that the findings of the Coroner’s inquest were predetermined by a politically dictated conclusion. There is still an ongoing criminal investigation that Donoghue is involved in and that is likely to report next year. Given the terms of the 8 August 2014 agreement that Australia signed (but refuses to fully disclose and the media refuse to acknowledge) it would be naive to expect a fully transparent investigation. It seems that the political imperative of blaming Russia outweighs any justice for the victims and their families.
For those readers interested in keeping up to date with developments I recommend John Helmer’s website, Dances with Bears as an excellent place to start.

Anybody have any information of why the Lead Coroner withdrew from the inquest at the last minute and the Deputy Coroner ran the inquest?

Also it is interesting that Donoghue from the AFP gave the evidence he did. I remember how the AFP was involved in the cover-up of the Bali Bombing. I expected their involvement with MH17 would follow a similar route. Perhaps someone with some inside information could tell us if there has been a change in personnel at the AFP.

      • Terry, the official reason given by the Coroner’s court for the change from Gray to West as the presiding officer was that the inquest was originally intended to be held in October. There was a delay due to the non-availability of material (unspecified), various scheduling matters including witness availability, and Judge Gray’s pending retirement, so West was asked to take carriage of the investigation. None of these are particularly remarkable or unusual. The latter reason makes very good sense if the inquiry is to continue (as it is) and can be reopened if there is fresh material, in which case having someone due to retire presiding does not make much sense.
There is certainly “fresh” material available. It has been in existence since 14 July 2014, and that is the US satellite data (2 in stationary orbit and one traversing at the material time) but the Americans refused to release that data to the Dutch Safety Board inquiry. Kerry boasted about it to NBC’s Meet the Press on 20 July 2014 and the Russians confirmed it at their press conference on the 21st.
To absolutely no-one’s surprise the Australian media do not even hint at such information.
A simple question: if the US satellite data confirmed the allegations that MH17 was shot down as the official story has it, by a BUK missile, and as the media claim, fired by Russian supported separatists, do you think that the Americans would be singing that from every rooftop they could find?
Their failure to provide the data leads one in my view to the irresistible inference that the data do not support the propaganda.

        • “Their failure to provide the data leads one in my view to the irresistible inference that the data do not support the propaganda.”

Which would be a compelling submission to a jury of our peers. So why isn’t the Australian Press publishing such an irresistible inference to the public at large? – Oh, you already answered that “To absolutely no-one’s surprise the Australian media do not even hint at such information.”

The Australian media has no credibility. In fact it is so bad that the fish market down in Port Macquarie uses overseas newspapers to wrap their fish – the fish refused to be wrapped in Australian newspapers.

    • “t seems that the political imperative of blaming Russia outweighs any justice for the victims and their families.”

What could bring ‘justice’ to the families? Thier loss is forever.

As for the political imperative of blaming Russia, if I read the whole shoot-down event correctly (but I am pretty ignorant of it),
it was meant to prep us idiots for war against Russia.

James, thank you for the big coverage. More, please.

      • What an interesting question about the Lead Coroner’s departure. Terry, you have read my Fraud Upon the Court book? I noted that the pathologist who was supposed to sign a dishonest death certificate or autopsy report for Pat Tillman
        held out for honesty instead.

As that doctor is in the military, there are many scurrilous ways to punish him for his honesty. What I am thinking here is that we need to support such persons. Telling the truth is a lonely business, yet many individuals do it entirely on their own.

Hail to Donoghue of the Australian Federal Police, and hail to (maybe) that Lead Coroner.

Hail also to Gumshoe editor Dee for jumping on the MH17 issue from Day One and not letting it go.

  3. Same old government lies and cover-up. Anyone who thinks that the past and present Australian governments and its politicians protect our citizens and care about justice should stop dreaming and go back to October 1975 as an example, when the Indonesian troops murdered 5 journalists at Balibo, East Timor.
As for the Australian Federal Police, forget that they really care when the chips are down, they did not follow up on the coroner’s recent findings on the murder of the ‘Balibo Five’ and refused to follow up on the murders.
Any search of the ‘Balibo Five’ – ‘Coroner’s findings’ will be an eye opener to the usual gullible simpletons who trust our governments.

  4. Does anyone know the government’s media advisers get hired and where they come from? They should be sacked.
And who are briefing these people with the “fake” neocon narratives?
Is there a special. media office – and is this controlled by overseas interests?

  5. In my regular wrestling with media, political and academic desks the dynamic is almost bizarre when extensive qualified evidence can be sited that totally contradicts the official narrative.
Just as an example, the recent developments in Turkey regarding the Turkey collaboration with the Syrian “Sarin Gassing” atrocity episodes is out in the public space and journalists are in jail and MP’s are being threatened with their life and treason charges for spilling the beans.
I have discussed this in detail with our Foreign Affairs desk and forwarded the relevant evidence on a very rational level yet it is invisible in our media.
I speak personally, from time to time, to the academic “experts” that are interviewed on ABC Current Affairs and the private conversation is significantly in contrast to the publicly broadcasted opinion.
I believe this is almost designed to make us all go insane.

The average person has no clue about this corrupt reality.

The convoluted reasoning that I come across regularly is enough to make a man cry in frustration.

The very great majority of all the people I speak to concede on all the questions and logical conclusions as long as they can be reasonably engaged in the subject.

Often the people I speak to are left totally silent when I table and explain my interpretation and then invite them to explain where and how my reasoning and evidence is at fault.

I do not mind admitting this massive contradiction of information dimensions is soul destroying in it’s madness.

Some how we must work out a strategy to lift the curtain on this situation and shine light on the magicians method.

    • Christopher, I eventually gave up giving any sort of interview with the MSM unless it was LIVE. I had far too many incidents of distortions, lies, malicious editing, cropped pictures, etc. to have any faith in the media.

They always had an agenda they were working towards. If the interview couldn’t be distorted enough to support the agenda, simple solution was to not run the interview. I had one interview that they so distorted that they didn’t have the guts to run it in Sydney and I had to get a copy from someone in Melbourne where they had published it.

As far as Putin, here’s a translation of an interview he did on his early life – http://www.sott.net/article/308820-Putins-recollection-of-his-family-during-WWII-Life-is-such-a-simple-yet-cruel-thing

It will give you an idea of the stock he comes from.

        • Christopher,
if you read the transcript of Putin’s marathon press conference you also get a better idea of where he (and Russia) are coming from than you will ever glean from msm coverage.

  6. Why does noone take into Consideration that MH 17 landed in Ukraine, Cargo was offloaded and Aircraft brought to Explosion on Ground?
That is my feeling. The whole thing is a big setup!
